In fact, after returning ho, Mayday tossed her backpack aside and pulled her Spider-suit down from the ceiling, slipping it on.
Before long, a blue-and-red Spider-Man appeared—the original color sche.
Mayday walked to the window, ready to leap out. But after rising slightly onto her toes, she hesitated. She stepped back inside, carefully taking in every detail of the ho she knew so well.
"Dad, Mom, I’ve ended up in a very strange world," she murmured to herself.
"This place has our house, my driver’s license, my bank cards, my graduation certificates—everything."
"But where are you?"
"Am I an orphan in this world?"
She wandered through the entire house, especially her own room and the kitchen she so often used. Everything was there. Everything except her parents.
But in her heart, she already knew—she had crossed into another world. She didn’t know how or why, but her instincts told her so. And those sa instincts told her that in this world, her parents didn’t exist.
At first, Mayday hadn’t been sure. But then ca this morning’s events.
"I t a girl. I felt a strange closeness to her, though I don’t know why."
"And I also learned that this world already has two Spider-Woman. So does that make the third?"
"Did the other two appear here suddenly, just like ?"
"Or only the second?"
"Or... only ?"
The weight of all the new information was overwhelming. Mayday knew she had to go out as Spider-Woman and see for herself.
Since arriving, she had mostly stayed ho, going out only for casual walks. But today, that wouldn’t cut it. She had to take a real look around.
And if possible, she wanted to et the other two Spider-Woman and ask them directly.
She returned to the window.
"I need to find out the truth."
With that, she leapt out, flicking a line of web with a sharp thwip before swinging high into the air.
...
anwhile, after hearing Wanda’s ssage, Gwen jumped down from Lorien’s back.
"She’s heading out already? The sun just set."
Wanda focused on the ntal lock she had placed.
"She’s not moving fast. Her swinging is slow, just gliding across rooftops. Looks like she’s observing her surroundings."
Gwen thought for a mont.
"Could she be... trying to familiarize herself with the area?"
"Very likely."
Gwen nodded to herself.
"If we follow now, she’ll definitely notice. We won’t learn anything that way. Better to wait until she stops—or if she gets into a fight."
It was a good plan. But Wanda shook her head.
"Gwen, I can only track her location. I can’t monitor what she’s actually doing."
"Oh, right!" Gwen realized.
So what now?
Trying to tail her directly would only expose them. Spider-Man’s senses were razor-sharp. If soone followed with intent, they’d feel it.
And a Spider-Woman’s sixth sense was even sharper than a Spider-Man’s.
That ant real-ti tailing was out of the question—unless Lorien gave Gwen and Silk so kind of presence-blocking ability. But that was just too absurd.
Lorien, however, had a different idea.
"You two can just stay ho and watch. Let Jetfire do the tailing."
Jetfire do the tailing...
A car tailing her?!
Gwen and Wanda froze for a mont. Then it hit them—it might actually work.
A car following her around? That was hilarious.
All they’d have to do was sit at ho, controlling it like a remote-controlled car.
They’d get a live feed straight to them.
Seeing their excited expressions, Lorien knew they were hooked. He casually tossed his phone to Gwen.
"Use your phone to control it. With your ho network, even Jetfire can connect to the TV."
"Got it!" Gwen took the phone.
She first sent Jetfire off, then imdiately ran downstairs.
"Wait a sec, I’ll go get Silk!"
...
A mont later, Gwen returned with Silk—her hair still dripping, a towel slung around her neck, cheeks flushed.
Silk ca in wearing loose loungewear.
The mont Silk appeared, she spotted Loren and slapped Gwen on the shoulder. "I was just in the shower. Give a minute to get ready."
She started to turn away, but Gwen grabbed her arm. "It’s fine, hurry up! Mayday’s moving. We’ve sent Jetfire to tail her."
Hearing Mayday was already in action, Silk stopped and followed Gwen over. When she reached Lorien’s side, she felt a little self-conscious—showing up at soone’s place right after a shower in just loungewear felt a bit... indulgent. But clearly nobody minded.
Lorien opened the door, changed shoes, and stepped inside.
"Let’s go."
Everyone switched shoes and ca in. They gathered in the living room. Gwen spoke into her phone, "Jetfire, stream what you see to the living room TV."
The TV imdiately showed a permission request. Gwen approved it, and the feed appeared.
They settled onto the sofa. The Ballerina Twins ca out of the kitchen with a platter of sliced fruit and set it on the table.
Only then did Silk realize Loren’s ho wasn’t just Gwen and Wanda.
She studied the Ballerina Twins. They looked almost human—nearly identical, even appearing more refined than people—but their smooth, featureless faces and the subtle details of their posture made it clear they weren’t human; they were more like bionic automatons. If she had to compare, they were a bit like the androids from Detroit: Beco Human.
That wasn’t the main point.
Silk glanced toward the corner. Hela, with green hair, sat on the thick carpet, clicking away at her ga. The others’ arrival didn’t bother her. During a pause, she reached without looking, grabbed a slice of apple, popped it into her mouth, and went back to playing.
Silk rembered that when she first t Hela she hadn’t noticed anything odd. She later learned Hela wasn’t a "local" either, but she hadn’t felt threatened by her. Now, trusting her own senses, Silk could tell this little girl was powerful too—definitely not ordinary. Soone clearly stronger than her.
That realization shocked Silk. There wasn’t a single simple presence in this house. She’d joined Gwen’s alliance and turned out to be the weakest one! Even the little girl she’d seen before was that formidable. My god. She’d have to step up her ga.
Silk shrugged off the towel from her neck and slowly dried her hair. Knowing where she stood made her want to work harder.
...
anwhile, the TV showed Jetfire racing along. It was heading toward the coordinates Gwen had given. Wanda updated the location now and then, and Jetfire drove straight for it.
At that mont,
While Jetfire drove on autopilot, a news broadcast appeared at the top of the TV screen.
"Last night at 11:11 PM New York ti, Mount Fuji in Japan erupted, releasing volcanic ash. The impact of this event was relatively minor."
"However, shortly after the appearance of the so-called earthquake fish, a moderate earthquake struck near Mount Fuji, triggering a level 2–3 volcanic eruption—the equivalent of a magnitude 7–8 earthquake—with the potential for further escalation."
"At the sa ti, another leak occurred at the nuclear power plant. The officials in charge have once again bowed in apology."
As the report played, Jetfire even thoughtfully placed it in a picture-in-picture window at the top right corner of the screen.
Everyone glanced at it.
First, the ash eruption. Not a big deal—just a few days of bad weather.
Then ca the fish.
Followed by the midnight quake. The ground roared and shook.
And finally, in the pitch-dark night, the volcano erupted.
Ash blasted several kiloters into the sky, while molten lava burst out—like a popped pimple.
By morning, the nuclear plant had leaked. The ocean... was full of nuclear wastewater.
The footage cut again. Local officials and executives bowed in apology, so even kneeling.
Hand them a knife now, and soone might step up to commit seppuku on the spot.
Lorien finished watching, speechless.
"We just went out to have so fun yesterday, and that sa night this huge disaster hits. Looks like we caused it."
Gwen and Wanda were surprised as well.
"That’s... really a coincidence."
But one person was more than surprised.
Silk glanced at Hela.
Yesterday, she had been walking behind with Hela and Galacta, and she’d overheard exactly what Hela had been up to.
To put it bluntly—drawing circles and cursing people!
Hela had been busy gaming at the ti, but the mont she heard the news, she snapped her head around, paused the ga, and watched the report all the way through.
"The volcano really erupted!?"
"It did," Wanda nodded.
"And after that fish appeared, there really was an earthquake?"
"There was," Gwen nodded.
"So all my wishes ca true?"
"They did," Silk nodded.
"Yes!"
Hela cheered, grabbed a banana, devoured it in a few bites until her cheeks bulged, then turned back to her ga as if the events on TV had nothing to do with her anymore.
That was when Lorien finally put the pieces together.
He glanced at Cindy, who had been sneaking looks at Hela.
"Cindy, yesterday wasn’t Hela wishing for a volcanic eruption and a big earthquake the whole ti?"
Faced with the boss’s question, Silk nodded, then added a hand gesture.
"She was doing this too."
In other words: drawing circles to curse.
Lorien: ...
Incredible. So it really was you, Hela.
This wide-eyed, innocent-looking Hela actually pulled sothing like this?
Well... guess she could.
Wanda and Gwen were both dumbfounded.
Lorien gave a helpless chuckle and explained,
"Our wishes and curses are just thoughts and desires. But Hela cos from Asgard—she’s literally a god."
Wanda’s eyes widened. "So..."
"So Hela’s curses actually carry so weight in the real world... and she happens to be the Goddess of Death."
"!!!"
The revelation left Gwen, Wanda, and Silk stunned.
They all looked at little Hela, cheeks stuffed with banana as she kept chewing away.
This seemingly sweet little girl.
This seemingly harmless little girl.
Turns out she’s the living embodint of Death!?
Even if Tang Sanzang himself showed up, he’d have to chant ’Amitabha’ a few tis just to get out of there.
"Target sighted."
Just then, Jetfire’s voice ca through the TV.
Everyone looked over.
Jetfire was speeding down a highway.
In the distance, a red-and-blue figure flashed past.
Jetfire instantly zood in and captured the image.
A slender, athletic Spider-Woman swung between skyscrapers.
"That’s the Trump Hotel."
Gwen recognized the backdrop imdiately.
That hotel was unmistakable—literally called the Trump Hotel, part of the Trump family’s business empire.
Long before he beca president, he’d already been a massive real estate tycoon.
But that wasn’t the key.
The key was the costu.
Lorien recognized Mayday’s colors at a glance.
"The original Spider-Man color sche."
"Huh?"
Gwen and Silk froze at the words.
Gwen asked, "What do you an by the original Spider-Man color sche?"
"It’s the most mainstream suit among all the Spider-n in the Multiverse—and almost all of them share the surna Parker," Lorien explained.
"All of them nad Parker?!"
Gwen and Silk exchanged looks.
Mayday Parker—she had the Parker surna.
So Mayday Parker must be connected to the original Spider-Man?
Gwen thought for a mont before asking, "Then what common traits do these red-and-blue, Parker-nad Spider-n share?"
"There are quite a few," Lorien nodded.
"Tell us, tell us, Lorien!"
Excited, Gwen planted several kisses on Lorien’s cheek right in front of Silk, each one landing with an audible smack.
Silk imdiately blushed and turned her head away. She had never even dated before—how could she handle watching that?
Lorien wiped his face helplessly and went on.
"First, you don’t even really need to check her."
"Huh?" Gwen blinked. "Why not?"
"Because in my impression, Spider-n with red-and-blue suits and the Parker surna are basically never villains."
"Though it’s still better to be cautious."
"Second, Spider-n in this suit tend to be more enthusiastic, way more talkative, and prone to slip-ups because they can’t keep their mouths shut."
"Third, they’re especially passionate about fighting cri—treating it like a daily quest. They have a strong sense of justice and treat their friends with loyalty and warmth."
These were points Lorien rembered very clearly.
The red-and-blue Spider-Man is part of Marvel’s iconic imagery, so those Spider-n almost never turn evil. If they do, it’s only in hypothetical stories—like the red-and-blue zombie Spider-Man.
The third male Spider-Man was even treated like a son by Tony.
So, male or female, the red-and-blue Spider-Man was generally trustworthy.
"That’s amazing!"
Gwen, Silk, and Wanda were clearly fascinated.
"So even if it’s a different Spider-Man, would their personality differ much from what you described?" Gwen asked. "Like if soone nad Parker in a red-and-blue suit went through trauma or loss, would that make them completely different?"
Lorien shook his head.
"Generally, the only change is being passionate... or even more passionate. They don’t undergo any drastic personality shifts."
Spider-Man is always good to family and friends.
Even when scarred by major events, they just grow stronger—they don’t suddenly turn into soone else.
Co on.
Even if you wanted that change, Marvel’s parent company would never allow it.
Spider-Man is one of Marvel’s top three most popular characters.
Red-and-blue Parker is a classic image.
If you suddenly made them a villain with a warped personality, and it hurt rchandise sales or cost fans? Forget it.
That situation’s impossible. They’ve got the Fourth Wall protecting them.
"Incredible."
After hearing Lorien’s explanation, Gwen turned back to Jetfire’s feed, still chasing Mayday.
"Now I’m even more curious about her."
