This was quite an interesting situation.
As a dinsional lord with considerable strength, Shuma-Gorath should have a more majestic and fearso appearance—at least, that's what most would imagine.
Yet, in reality, he always preferred to take the form of a giant octopus.
At the center of its massive head was a single, enormous, unblinking eye—this was Shuma-Gorath's true form.
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that the mont Luo Bai saw this so-called ancient terror, only one thought filled his mind:
Would it taste better braised or stead?
"Dinsional space? Who are you?!"
Just as Luo Bai was mulling over the best way to cook an octopus, the "creature" suddenly spoke.
Its deep, resonant voice snapped Luo Bai back to reality.
Looking up at the colossal octopus looming over him, Luo Bai smiled and responded calmly, "My na is Luo Bai. I am the Supre Sorcerer of Kamar-Taj and the Guardian of Earth."
"Supre Sorcerer..." Shuma-Gorath snorted, his tone dripping with contempt. "So you're one of Vishanti's lackeys. I didn't expect his lineage to have survived this long."
Shuma-Gorath had fought against Vishanti and other cosmic beings before, so he knew that the Sorcerer Supre drew power from them.
However, since Vishanti had failed to defeat him in the past, Shuma-Gorath never took the Kamar-Taj lineage—or even Vishanti—seriously.
"You dare to pull into your dinsional space? Do you have a death wish?" Shuma-Gorath sneered, his massive eye locking onto Luo Bai.
To be honest, being stared down by a one-eyed octopus felt incredibly bizarre.
Fortunately, Luo Bai had seen far worse things before—he wasn't the least bit intimidated.
Shaking his head, he replied with a casual smirk, "Shuma-Gorath, as the Guardian of Earth and the Supre Sorcerer of Kamar-Taj, I must formally warn you—your current actions constitute an act of invasion. If you don't leave imdiately, I'll have no choice but to decide whether to roast you or kill you."
He had said this exact warning so many tis before, and the result was always the sa.
Luo Bai sighed slightly, already predicting how Shuma-Gorath would react.
Sure enough, after hearing his words, the colossal octopus erupted in fury.
"Stupid Earthling! Who gave you the courage to speak to this way?!" Shuma-Gorath roared.
As if afraid Luo Bai didn't understand his power, he didn't even wait for a response before bellowing even louder,
"I am the ruler of countless dinsions! The Earth was once under my dominion! When I ruled, you didn't even exist!
I am the ruler of the universe! I am the supre and greatest Lord of Chaos!
And yet, you—a re human—dare to speak to like this?! Do you have a death wish?!"
His voice shook the entire dinsion.
Then, before Luo Bai could even react, Shuma-Gorath lashed out.
With one of his massive tentacles, he grabbed a bus parked on the side of the road and hurled it directly at Luo Bai.
Luo Bai didn't even flinch.
He made no attempt to dodge.
Instead, just as the bus was about to slam into him, he calmly raised his hand and opened a glowing golden portal.
The very next mont—
Whoosh!
The bus vanished into the portal... and instantly reappeared—
CRASH!
—slamming directly into Shuma-Gorath's massive eye.
The octopus clearly hadn't expected that.
His face turned an ugly shade of red the mont the bus struck him.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, YOU STUPID EARTH WIZARD?!" Shuma-Gorath bellowed in rage.
Luo Bai rely shrugged, looking genuinely apologetic.
"I honestly didn't expect you to get hit so easily," he said with an amused sigh. "I thought you'd at least dodge it. Aren't you supposed to be the great Lord of Chaos? Who knew you'd get smacked by a bus so effortlessly?"
And that was the absolute truth.
When Shuma-Gorath threw the bus at him, Luo Bai hadn't even tried to counterattack.
He simply opened a random portal to redirect the vehicle.
At the ti, he figured it didn't matter where the bus landed, so he just placed the portal sowhere in Shuma-Gorath's general direction.
Who would've thought it would land directly on his eyeball?
To be honest, using portal magic to redirect objects was considered a basic-level trick—sothing even a beginner magician could pull off.
Any competent wizard should have been able to easily dodge an attack like this.
Yet, Shuma-Gorath—a so-called "Chaos Lord"—had been smashed in the face by a bus.
Luo Bai couldn't help but suspect that the Goddess of Luck had sothing to do with this.
Of course, anyone hearing this story might not believe it.
But if they had seen it with their own eyes, they'd definitely be laughing their heads off.
"Besides..." Luo Bai added, raising an eyebrow.
"Who would've guessed that the almighty Lord of Chaos would try to kill soone by throwing a bus at them?"
"YOU INSOLENT WORM!" Shuma-Gorath roared in pure rage.
"YOU DARE MOCK —THE LORD OF CHAOS?! YOU WILL PAY A HEAVY PRICE FOR YOUR INSOLENCE!"
With a furious bellow, Shuma-Gorath unleashed a blinding energy blast directly at Luo Bai.
To be honest, Luo Bai was completely unfazed.
This wasn't the first ti he had encountered this kind of attack.
After all, dinsional lords seed to have an obsession with energy beams.
The concept was always the sa—
They gathered their power, condensed it into a deadly blast, and fired it at their enemy.
The stronger the dinsional lord, the stronger the beam.
Against weaker opponents, this kind of attack was enough to kill instantly.
And if the target was too strong to be one-shot, well—
It was just a test shot anyway.
In the past, Luo Bai might have entertained himself by dodging around and playing with his opponent.
But now, Luo Bai was busy traveling across the multiverse, collecting fragnts of the Phoenix Force.
Where would he find the ti to waste on testing the Eye Demon?
Seeing the Eye Demon make a move, Luo Bai didn't hold back.
"Braised octopus still tastes better... Fairy Power, go!"
As soon as Luo Bai spoke, the power of the fairies surged forward.
The mont it erged, it completely devoured the energy beam fired by the Eye Demon.
In the past, Fairy Power might have toyed with the Eye Demon for a while.
But now, sensing that Luo Bai was in a hurry, it didn't bother playing around at all.
The mont it appeared, it simply consud—devouring most of the Eye Demon's energy instantly.
As a Lord of Chaos, the Eye Demon naturally knew what Fairy Power was.
Sensing sothing was wrong, he imdiately tried to escape.
But Luo Bai wasn't having it.
He opened a portal and directly sent the Eye Demon back to his own dinsion.
And just for good asure, he also sent Fairy Power along for a little visit.
Before the Eye Demon could even react, Fairy Power had already drained most of the energy from his dinsion.
Eye Demon: "!!!!"
His enormous eye widened in shock.
He seed like he wanted to say sothing, but before he could even open his mouth, Luo Bai impatiently tossed out a contract.
"I've dealt with plenty of dinsional lords like you. Stop wasting my ti—just sign the contract already!"
Eye Demon: "..."
It took less than ten minutes for the once-arrogant Eye Demon to go completely silent.
Right now, as Luo Bai threw the so-called "voluntary" contract in front of him, he still hadn't processed what had just happened.
Wait... everything was fine just a mont ago.
How did his power suddenly vanish?
What the hell did he just experience?
In just ten minutes—no, in just the ti it took for him to say a few words—he had lost most of his strength?
No... wait a second...
Are Earth's sorcerers always this violent now?!
He had barely attacked once, and Luo Bai had nearly obliterated him in an instant?!
He was a Lord of Chaos, for crying out loud!
Couldn't he at least get a little respect?!
