Dormammu panicked and asked, "What do you want to do?!"
Having been tricked by phisto, Dormammu had co to Earth completely unprepared.
Now, after being weakened by the goblin's power, he was seriously injured.
If Luo Bai unleashed the power of the fairy again at this mont, he wouldn't stand a chance.
Thinking of this, Dormammu began to panic.
He assud Luo Bai would kill him, but to his surprise, in the next second, Luo Bai simply took out a contract and handed it to him.
Dormammu took the contract with great confusion and read the contents:
"I, Dormammu, Lord of the Dark Dinsion, voluntarily sign this contract.
I swear never to invade Earth again from this day forward.
I vow to protect the Earth.
Furthermore, I will provide Supre Sorcerer Luo Bai with dark energy on a regular, fixed schedule.
I will comply without complaint.
Should I violate this contract, I will be devoured."
Dormammu was dumbfounded.
What the hell?!
It was one thing to be banned from invading Earth, but now he was supposed to protect it?!
I am the Lord of the Dark Dinsion! I am darkness itself! Do you even understand what darkness is?!
To put it in the words of these Earthlings—I'm a villain! A villain!!
And now, he was supposed to protect the very thing he was ant to destroy?!
Not only that, but he also had to provide dark energy on a regular basis?!
"This is unfair!!! You're exploiting !" Dormammu roared in outrage.
As the Lord of the Dark Dinsion, when had he ever been humiliated like this?!
He imdiately resisted.
Luo Bai, however, seed to have anticipated this reaction and replied calmly, "phisto had the sa reaction at first."
Dormammu's expression darkened.
Luo Bai continued, "So, I gave him two choices. Now, I will offer you the sa two choices."
"One: Sign the contract.
Two: Hand over the Dark Dinsion to a new ruler."
"Dormammu, choose."
"..."
Damn it, phisto! I get it now!
You're suffering, so you want to drag down with you, huh?!
Just you wait! If I don't co to the Hell Dinsion and beat the crap out of you, I'm not worthy of being the Lord of the Dark Dinsion!
Dormammu was furious, but he had to suppress his rage.
He had to think rationally—he had to keep Luo Bai from getting even stronger.
As the ruler of the Dark Dinsion, he could not allow himself to beco a re servant to Earth and its mages.
But right now, his power was drastically weakened. If he fought Luo Bai and the power of the fairy, he would undoubtedly lose.
After a long silence, Dormammu finally gritted his teeth and muttered, "...I'll choose the first one."
"Then sign your na." Luo Bai handed over the contract.
Dormammu sighed, staring at the docunt with a complicated expression.
His gaze lingered on one particularly infuriating line—
"Voluntarily sign this contract."
Voluntarily?!
Like hell I'm willing!!!
With no other choice, Dormammu begrudgingly signed the so-called "voluntary contract."
After finishing, he sighed heavily and asked, "Now that I've signed, can I leave?"
"Of course," Luo Bai replied, then added, "But there's sothing I might need your help with."
Dormammu's eyes narrowed cautiously. "What is it?"
Luo Bai thought for a mont before saying, "There are several mages in Kamar-Taj who have pledged loyalty to you, right?"
Dormammu hesitated before answering, "...Yes. What about them?"
Luo Bai smiled. "Leave them to ."
That wasn't a bad outco.
Dormammu let out a sigh of relief.
After all, he had no interest in concerning himself with the lives of those believers. So, without hesitation, he replied, "Alright, do as you please."
"You can step in when I need you to handle it," Luo Bai added.
Dormammu wasn't sure what Luo Bai ant, but he was already irritated and just wanted to leave Earth as soon as possible. Frustrated, he shouted, "Fine! Fine! I'll do whatever you say! Just let go already!"
With the contract in hand, Luo Bai had achieved his goal.
Satisfied, he waved his hand and departed from the Dark Dinsion.
Upon arriving in the central city of the Dark Dinsion, Luo Bai found that Wong and the Justice League team had already subdued Kaecilius.
The mont he erged from the Dark Dinsion, Polaris rushed toward him, her face filled with concern.
"Master Luo Bai, are you alright? Wong said you went to the Dark Dinsion alone to fight Dormammu! I was really worried!"
Luo Bai smiled and whispered, "You should probably be more worried about Dormammu."
His voice was so soft that Polaris didn't catch what he said. Confused, she asked, "Master Luo Bai, what did you just say?"
Luo Bai simply shrugged and changed the topic. "How's the situation here?"
"Kaecilius has been captured, but several of the mages who followed him managed to escape. Master Mordo has already led a team to hunt them down. They should be brought back soon," Wong stepped forward and reported.
Seeing Luo Bai return from the Dark Dinsion completely unhard, Wong's face showed a hint of surprise.
"Where's Dormammu?" Wong asked, looking up at the sky.
Only then did he realize that the abnormality in the sky had disappeared.
Stark also took notice. "The distortion in the sky is gone. Does that an Dormammu left?"
Luo Bai nodded and gave a brief explanation. "I reached an agreent with Dormammu. He won't co to Earth again."
Although he said this casually, his words still shocked Wong.
Co on... Dormammu is the Lord of the Dark Dinsion.
The Ancient One had fought him countless tis, yet Dormammu had never given up on invading Earth.
And now, Luo Bai was saying he had reached an agreent with him?
That Dormammu wouldn't invade Earth again?
Wong couldn't help but voice his concern. "Supre Sorcerer, you may not know Dormammu well enough. He never gives up that easily. He's likely just withdrawing temporarily. He's extrely cunning and deceitful."
Luo Bai didn't respond imdiately.
Because Wong wasn't wrong.
Whether it was Dormammu or phisto, these evil dinsional lords were all insidious and treacherous.
Luo Bai knew full well that they hadn't agreed to provide him with energy out of goodwill.
That was precisely why he had taken the initiative to weaken their power in the first place.
Now that both the Dark Dinsion and the Hell Dinsion had been devoured by the power of the fairies, there was no way Dormammu and phisto could recover anyti soon.
On top of that, Luo Bai had deliberately sowed discord between them before leaving.
Those two will probably be busy fighting each other for a long ti.
And during that ti, all Luo Bai needed to do was keep draining their energy—keep squeezing them dry.
If they eventually realized sothing was off and tried to sche behind the scenes, he could simply eliminate them both in one go.
After all, the power of fairies could grow indefinitely.
Not to ntion, Luo Bai had imnse luck on his side.
So, he was in no hurry to deal with Dormammu or phisto.
With that in mind, Luo Bai smirked and said, "Maybe. But as long as I'm alive, I doubt Dormammu will dare to co back."
His tone was firm, filled with absolute confidence.
Hearing this, Wong beca even more curious.
He had a strong feeling that sothing very interesting must have happened in the Dark Dinsion.
Otherwise, knowing Dormammu's nature, how could he suddenly give up on invading Earth?
And why did he seem so hesitant to even speak with Luo Bai?
