"Damn it, Kaecilius, you idiot! I've never seen anyone screw up this badly!"

Inside a sealed chamber of the New York Sanctum, Mordo paced back and forth, smashing a vase against the wall in a rare fit of rage. His plan had spiraled completely out of control.

The original intention was simple: Kaecilius would quietly steal the forbidden scripture, master its secrets in the shadows, and eventually take down Kurogai. That was the script. Clean. Controlled.

But Kaecilius had gone completely off the rails.

Not only had he stolen the entire text instead of a few pages — he had murdered the librarian and fled Kamar-Taj openly, triggering a manhunt that was shaking the entire magical order.

"That lunatic," Mordo growled. "Now the Sorcerer Supre herself is involved. If they get to him before I do..."

His voice trailed off, but the implications were obvious. With her mastery of the Mystic Arts, the Ancient One would quickly uncover the truth — and Mordo's involvent. He may have hidden his identity during the incitent, but against the Eye of Agamotto and her insight, deception was fleeting.

And he knew the price for betrayal in Kamar-Taj.

Dinsional exile.

An eternal prison. A place not even ti could reach.

Mordo shuddered. He couldn't afford to let Kaecilius be captured.

He had to eliminate him first.

With grim determination, Mordo vanished from the New York Sanctum, casting a cloaking spell as he began his own hunt for Kaecilius.

anwhile, in London, outside a discreet building marked with the Seal of the Vishanti, a lone figure leaned casually against a wall — a long trench coat fluttering in the wind. His heterochromatic eyes shimred beneath his hair, focused on the sanctum ahead.

It was Kurogai.

The London Sanctum — one of the three pillars guarding Earth from extra-dinsional threats — stood quietly before him. But Kurogai knew that peace was a fragile illusion.

"I didn't recognize Kaecilius before… didn't rember he was that guy," he muttered.

But everything had co back to him the mont he heard the librarian was dead.

Kaecilius — forr student of the Ancient One. Defector. Servant of Dormammu, the Lord of the Dark Dinsion.

And if Kurogai's hunch was right… the book Kaecilius had stolen wasn't just any relic. It was the Book of Cagliostro — the forbidden to that detailed spells for temporal manipulation… and the summoning of Dormammu himself.

Kurogai's brows furrowed.

"In the original tiline, Kaecilius only tore out a few pages. But now… he's taken the whole damn book."

The deviation didn't shock him. Since arriving in this world, he'd already noticed the tiline was unstable. The pieces were moving faster than expected, and he'd learned to adapt quickly.

Kaecilius's next move was also clear. Once exposed to Dormammu's existence, the man would attempt to shatter Earth's magical defenses — and that ant destroying the three Sanctums one by one. According to mory, the London Sanctum was the first to fall.

So, Kurogai waited.

He wasn't about to wander the globe like the other sorcerers. No — he'd set a trap. Let Kaecilius co to him.

But after days of waiting in the shadows, there had been no sign of the rogue sorcerer. Patience was thinning.

With a flick of his fingers, Kurogai began drawing glowing sigils in the air. The golden runes slowly sank into the earth surrounding the Sanctum.

It was a pre-warning ward — one of the many magical techniques Kurogai had mastered over the last year. Once triggered, it would imdiately alert him to any dinsional energy disturbance in the area.

"Let's see if you're bold enough to show up."

He stepped back, satisfied. Now he didn't need to waste his ti sitting here every day. If Kaecilius showed up, the spell would let him know.

Kurogai conjured a portal — a circular gate of light humming with magical energy — and prepared to visit Director Mary and Skye in the anti. A distraction would help him recalibrate.

But just as he stepped through the gate—

Flash.

His pre-warning spell went off.

A sharp magical pulse shot through his mind.

Kaecilius had arrived.
