"Wanda, have a nice trip to London!"
The corners of Agatha's smiling eyes lifted, making her appear like a friendly neighbor. She picked up the handbag beside her. "I have to head back early. See you in Westview."
"Um, bye."
Wanda was drawn in by her warm smile, and the corners of her mouth instinctively curved into a soft arc.
"She really knows how to put on an act."
Finn watched Agatha's fading figure and sneered internally. If the old witch ever decided to beco an actress, the Academy would surely hand her an Oscar.
"Finn, don't you think Agnes is a nice person? She's the second kindest person I've ever t."
Wanda took a sip of tea, recalling all the ti she had spent with Agnes.
Agatha had always been warm and welcoming.
"Mm, she's definitely warm-hearted."
Finn kept his thoughts to himself. The old witch was certainly warm-hearted—toward Wanda, at least. She wished she could take Wanda ho and keep her locked away forever.
He pushed the thought aside and refocused on Wanda's words. "She's the second? Who's the first?"
"You," Wanda answered without hesitation. "When I first ca to Westview, you made feel like I'd known you forever."
Wanda spoke seriously, her crimson eyes filled with sincerity. "Finn, you're thoughtful. You understood my situation and how I felt at that ti."
"Because we were ant to be together."
Finn wasn't shy about it. He reached for her delicate, pale hand and held it gently.
Even though he knew everything about Wanda beforehand as a Transmigrater, fate had arranged for her to move into his building.
Without that, their relationship wouldn't have blossod into what it was today.
"Go away, you smooth talker."
Wanda's cheeks flushed, and she turned her face away, but her heart felt warm.
She had once read that no matter how cheesy a person's words were, if you liked them, they could still make your heart flutter.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
At that mont, her phone buzzed at her waist. Glancing at the ssage, she sighed.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. is here."
"Alright, go on. Do your best."
Finn reached out and gently ruffled her hair, his eyes filled with tenderness.
"See you tomorrow."
Wanda didn't linger. Even with a Quinjet, it would take over two hours to fly from Germany to London, and she didn't have ti to waste.
Besides, she didn't want to hesitate too long. Lovers always wanted to be together, as if so invisible thread connected them.
Now, all she wanted was to finish this mission quickly and return to Westview.
Without realizing it, she even found herself looking forward to seeing Finn's reaction when she put on those new outfits and stockings...
But Wanda didn't know that after she left, far away on the balcony of a high-rise building, soone was watching.
Agatha's eyes glowed with a dark aura as she stared toward their location from over a kiloter away.
Her usual kind expression had vanished, replaced with sothing fierce.
Her attire had changed as well—from casual wear to a flowing black robe embroidered with intricate patterns, reminiscent of sothing from the dieval era.
" Strachy, our opportunity has co."
The old witch stroked a rabbit with eerie crimson eyes, her voice laced with malice.
Around her, the once-thriving green plants began to wither, their vibrant leaves turning yellow before crumbling to dust.
Inside the apartnt behind her, several people sat on the couch—silent, unmoving.
Judging by their clothing, they were the real owners of the house.
"Finn, I'll make sure you regret trying to take what belongs to ."
As Agatha's ominous words fell, a mass of black energy erged behind her, swallowing her like a vortex.
When the dark mist dispersed, she was gone.
A second later...
The people in the living room suddenly snapped back to reality, gasping in terror.
"Witchcraft! Demons!"
"Oh my God, that monster is finally gone!"
Then they looked down at their hands—at their bodies—only to realize sothing was terribly wrong.
Their skin shrank, muscles atrophying at an alarming rate. Their bodies withered before their very eyes, turning skeletal.
In just seconds, they were nothing more than lifeless husks.
And then—
They crumbled into dust.
---
anwhile, high above the clouds...
A Quinjet soared at full speed, slicing through the sky and leaving a trail of turbulence in its wake.
Inside the cabin—
"Wanda?"
At the table, Nick Fury waved a hand in front of Wanda's dazed face.
"Huh? What is it?"
Wanda's tone was cold. She had always been indifferent toward outsiders—especially people like Nick Fury.
"This is a critical mont. I need you focused," Fury reminded her. "Your little boyfriend isn't going anywhere in Germany. Other than the bad water quality, everything's fine over there."
"Yeah, Scarlet Witch, we need you to focus," Mysterio—Quentin Beck—added. He wore a tense expression. "We can't afford to let the Elentals get another chance. If we fail again, they might recover completely."
"This is the latest data."
Fury placed a tablet on the table, displaying erratic magnetic field readings over London.
"Why is this happening...?"
Wanda furrowed her brows as she examined the fluctuating data.
Quentin had worked hard to make his deception seem legitimate, fabricating extensive reports on the Elentals.
With real-world test data mixed in, even Nick Fury had been convinced.
Wanda took a deep breath and put the tablet aside. "Fury, have you found Shadow? Things would be much easier if he were here."
"No," Fury replied flatly.
"Wait, hold on—!"
Mysterio suddenly interrupted, turning to Wanda with a frustrated glare.
"Wanda, this is a serious mont! We're all in this together! You can't just rely on soone else!"
His voice echoed through the cabin.
"You're acting strangely," Wanda muttered, her scarlet eyes flickering with an eerie glow.
Anyone familiar with her knew—Wanda was getting angry.
And the cabin's temperature dropped.
"Mr. Beck, calm down," Fury cut in.
Even he was caught off guard by Quentin's sudden outburst.
Now, seeing Wanda's glowing eyes and the frost forming in the air, he knew he had to step in.
The last thing he wanted was for the plane to go down.
"...Sorry, I lost my cool."
Quentin felt a crushing pressure as he t Wanda's piercing gaze. His back was drenched in cold sweat.
Hearing the na "Shadow" had rattled him.
That person had ruined his plans twice before.
In his mont of frustration, he had foolishly snapped at Scarlet Witch—one of the strongest Avengers.
Now, realizing his mistake, he swallowed nervously.
"This better not happen again," Wanda warned.
"I'm only here to stop the world from ending. I don't take orders from any of you. What I do—or say—is my business, not yours."
With that, she turned and left, exuding an air of dominance.
"Phew..."
Nick Fury let out a sigh of relief.
Thankfully, the witch was rciful today.
anwhile, Quentin Beck's eyes darkened as he clenched his fists.
He was already thinking of his next move.
