When the three of them heard this, they frowned slightly.
Wasn't Nightmare already dealt with?
Could there be a bigger potential threat?
Stephen nodded heavily. "After our investigation, even if Nightmare is defeated, once people feel fear again, he can resurrect himself."
It was precisely this possibility that concerned him enough to bring it up.
"Don't worry about that. If he shows up again, we'll kill him again."
Finn waved dismissively, not dwelling too much on the issue.
Right now, he only wanted to return to Westview. The priority was forging new magic and guiding the Scarlet Witch in practicing from the Darkhold.
A few months from now, a mysterious entity would appear in person, and strengthening himself quickly was essential.
"Finn, aren't you worried that Nightmare might return stronger than before?" Wanda asked with concern.
From the earlier battle, it was clear Nightmare's power was formidable. Even with everyone combined, it had been difficult to handle.
"His power stems from fear. As long as we resolve the source of that fear, he won't even have a chance to resurrect."
Finn's eyes were calm, unwavering.
Wanda didn't ask further. She believed in Finn's words without hesitation.
"So... are you leaving now?" Wong asked, approaching.
"Nightmare's threat has passed, hasn't it?" Finn replied, glancing at the battle-worn Kamar-Taj. "Take so ti to repair this place."
He chuckled slightly to himself. Kamar-Taj had suffered two heavy destructions in recent mory.
First during the attack by the Darkhold-corrupted witch... and now again, due to Nightmare.
"We also need to reassess and stabilize Kamar-Taj," Stephen agreed. Then his expression grew serious again. "A few months from now, when that entity returns, the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj will support you."
Finn nodded and turned to Wanda and the Dark Witch. "Let's go. We're done here. The rest can be left to them."
The two witches nodded. Their work was far from finished, and many matters still needed attention.
After exchanging brief farewells with Stephen and Wong, Finn teleported with the two witches to Midtown Manhattan.
He planned to buy a few essential items before returning.
Of course, he hadn't forgotten that once he reactivated the concealnt spell tied to the system, he'd be locked in for seven days.
"Where are we going now?" the Dark Witch asked, glancing around the quieter parts of the city.
"Shopping."
Finn took her hand and led the way forward.
The Dark Witch followed, her appearance altered. After the incident with the public seeing her true form, she now had to use a glamour spell while out in public.
Though reluctant, she complied.
Soon, the trio entered a massive shopping center.
Clothing, food, entertainnt—the place had it all.
Finn led them into a luxury fashion store first. "Pick out what you like. Get yourselves so new clothes."
He smiled warmly. The weather had been uncomfortably hot lately, and he hadn't really taken them shopping before.
"No need," Wanda replied, shaking her head with a soft smile. "We already have plenty at ho."
She understood Finn's intentions, but what made her happiest was simply walking beside him, hand in hand, by an endless shoreline... and maybe other things, too.
"She doesn't want it, so why don't you get sothing for ? I like dressing up. Or... you could buy so sexy lingerie. I'm confident in my body."
The Dark Witch's voice dripped with playful seduction, her eyes sparkling.
"No way. Your figure's too... impossible. Give the chance instead."
Wanda fired back imdiately, crossing her arms.
If the Dark Witch wore that type of outfit, no one would survive.
Even Wanda had to admit the Dark Witch's body was perfect—but she wasn't about to give her the upper hand.
"Why not? Didn't you say you didn't want anything?"
"That doesn't an you can get it!"
With that, Wanda dragged Finn out of the store.
He had no choice but to lead both witches up to the third floor, where a massive supermarket sprawled across the space. It was loaded with snacks, drinks, and groceries.
The mont the witches spotted the snack aisles, they ran over like kids.
Finn could only smile helplessly.
He went off alone to the at section, selecting various cuts and pushing a few extra snacks into the cart himself.
When he returned—
"Are you robbing the supermarket for snacks?"
He couldn't help but laugh at the absurd amount they had piled up.
"Absolutely not!" both witches said in perfect unison, clutching the snacks protectively.
"Go wait over there. I'll finish up."
The two nodded and returned to their argunt over the last bag of spicy chips.
Finn shook his head and returned to shopping.
Once everything was paid for, they left the mall with arms full.
"Let's stash this stuff sowhere first," Finn said. "We're already out. Might as well have so fun."
He wanted to relax... and maybe stop their bickering before it escalated.
They found a secure location and cast a containnt spell to safely store the goods, then headed back toward the city center.
This ti, they didn't take a cab.
There was sothing refreshing about walking through New York on foot, blending into the rhythm of ordinary life.
"It's broad daylight. Where are we even going to have fun?" the Dark Witch asked, scanning the surroundings.
"Let's go to the Statue of Liberty. Great place for pictures. I'm a decent photographer, you know."
Finn offered casually.
The witches blinked.
Then nodded slowly.
"That... actually sounds fun. But are your photography skills really good?"
Faced with the skepticism in their eyes, Finn coughed awkwardly. "I said they are."
The two witches exchanged glances.
There was definite doubt in their expressions.
