The Eternal Disease of the Eternal Race?
Is it a disease?
No, it’s not.
This is purely a result of a machine running for too long, accumulating too much data, and previously formatted data not being cleaned properly, leading to conflicts between old and new data and causing a malfunction.
As everyone knows.
The Eternal Race is not natural life but machines created by the Celestial God Team, brought into being by the Eternals.
So——
Machines running for too long will inevitably have malfunctions.
When the new mories of the Eternal Race mbers start to touch upon the mory data that was previously cleared but not thoroughly, the forr mories will be awakened, throwing them into fragnted mory illusions, unable to distinguish between the past and reality.
This is what’s called the Eternal Disease.
This is also why the mbers of the Eternal Race say that Eternal Disease strikes without any warning.
Because when you have lived long enough, there will always be a mont when your current mories seemingly overlapped with those that happened in the past.
This is what’s called déjà vu!
For most beings, such experiences are at most extraordinarily surprising, but for mbers of the Eternal Race, it is an incurable disease.
But——
For the Eternal Race, Eternal Disease is a difficult disease to cure, but for Hawk, it’s just child’s play.
Clearing mory improperly is not a big deal.
The Phoenix Undying, just Nirvana.
With Nirvana goes the old past, and with it cos a new beginning.
However!
Being able to save is one thing, wanting to save is another matter altogether.
Though Hawk bears no murderous intent towards other mbers of the Eternal Race except Icarus, he’s no saint either.
In a word.
Your suffering is not bestowed by , so why should it concern ?
But Hawk, having promised sothing to his sister, will certainly accomplish it.
After receiving his guarantee, his sister Anya left quite happily.
Hawk continued to stay under the sycamore tree in the backyard, utilizing his semi-Ninth Sense "My Heart Is the Heart of Heaven" to anchor his consciousness in the reality-bound Mutants’ Cosmos and in the Main Multiverse, continuing to keep an eye on that damn Celestial God Team mber who constantly flees, never settles in one fixed place, and keeps changing positions.
It’s like a cat catching a mouse.
When the big cat catches the mouse, it won’t imdiately kill it but will let it be until the mouse tires itself out or resigns to its fate, and only then the bored big cat will devour it.
Hawk is the sa.
After all, with Wanda not around and no one watching the house, he can’t rest easy going to the 828 Cosmos to bring Wanda ho until that wretched mber of the Celestial God Team is dealt with.
Hawk estimated that this cursed mber of the Celestial God Team is also waiting for him to head to the 828 Cosmos, then find a way to erase his consciousness imprinted on itself.
But he wasn’t going to give him the chance.
Isn’t it just a matter of patience?
As soone who upholds the principle of ’A gentleman’s revenge, ten years is not too late,’ the thing Hawk lacks least is patience.
Conversely, his sister, whether the gentle sister or the clever sister.
Their temperants are more fiery.
Just like now.
Having just left the Hawkes, Anya didn’t even consider waiting until school the next day to tell Sersi the good news but headed straight to New Jersey City University to find Sersi and share the good news with her.
"Sersi, guess what good news I’ve brought for you."
"Your thesis is finished?"
At that mont, Sersi, busy in her office, looked at the bustling Anya and smiled: "You are my first student at this university, so don’t bring sha to my reputation in the education sector."
This was the truth.
As soone who arrived here from the early days of Earth, Sersi has lived through history personally, so securing a job teaching history at any university wasn’t a difficult task.
Sersi originally resided in London City, living with the Elf who always appeared as a twelve-year-old white child.
The reason Sersi moved to New Jersey was because of Hawk.
Hawk actually guessed one thing wrong.
At least initially, Sersi moved here not because she knew Icarus had offended Hawk and wanted to avoid being implicated, choosing to co here to seek Hawk’s forgiveness.
Sersi originally moved here because the Celestial God Team of this universe had been butchered by Hawk.
As their superior, the Celestial God Team mbers, their chieftain maintained communication with the Celestial God Team every once in a while.
This was their chieftain Ajak.
Ajak, during his last communication with the Celestial God Team mbers, upon learning that their boss had been slaughtered like a dead dog by Hawk, found Sersi and disclosed to her their real job responsibilities.
Sesi was initially shocked; she found it hard to imagine that the birth of the new Celestial God required the entire planet as a sacrifice.
This was difficult for her to accept, but fortunately, Ajak told her that the Celestial God of this planet could no longer be birthed.
The reason is simple.
Considering the dwindling population on the African Continent due to inexplicable reasons, and the fact that the island nation is almost turning into a no man’s land, the ergence of the new Celestial God Tiya on Earth has beco almost an impossibility.
Upon hearing this, Sesi subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief.
She loves this planet, but the responsibility of the Eternal Race initially made her feel conflicted. Yet, after hearing Ajak’s explanation, she indeed felt a sense of relief.
Therefore, afterward, she moved with the Elf from London to Jersey City, a city adjacent to Manhattan but with a sowhat slower pace of life.
She was previously in London City because it was a node for the manifestation of the new Celestial God, and she needed to watch over it there.
But now that the manifestation is no longer possible, naturally, her tasks ceased to exist, and she chose to live for herself.
Thus, when Sesi first moved to Jersey City, she had not thought of finding Hawk.
Until a while ago, Ajak also arrived in Jersey City and inford her of a very serious matter.
Icarus had been summoned back, and at that mont, she received instructions to summon away Icarus for the new Celestial God.
To hijack Chloe and Phoenix in West View Town.
But...
How is that possible?
It’s well known.
Not only has Sesi fallen in love with Earth, but likewise, the clan leader Ajak also fell in love with this planet during the long stay on Earth.
Especially as the clan leader, knowing the truth, Ajak’s heart suffers severe tornt.
It’s the kind of tornt where one loves this planet, knows it will be destroyed, yet is powerless to change it.
So, if Sesi felt a relief upon knowing her mission was entirely gone, then Ajak truly felt relaxed knowing that the Celestial God Team had been expelled from this universe.
And Ajak made her choice.
She stands with Hawk.
Not because of Hawk’s reputation, but simply because Hawk is a native Earthling, and Ajak believes that the disappearance of Earth’s manifestation is certainly related to Hawk in so way.
Thus.
This was the reason Sesi, after coming here, confided in her friend Anya, with hopes of obtaining Hawk’s forgiveness.
As to why it beca attributed to Icarus in Anya’s words?
That’s unknown.
But that’s not important.
Anya listened to Sesi speculate on her intentions and waved her hand directly.
"It’s not because of that."
"Then it’s..."
"My brother has already agreed to forgive you, Sesi, as long as you don’t oppose my brother, he won’t hold you accountable."
"..."
Sitting behind the desk, upon hearing that, Sesi was first taken aback, then suddenly stood up and looked at Anya.
"Really?"
"Yes."
Anya nodded: "I just ca back from my brother. To help with this, I implored my brother for a long ti, so Sesi, you also don’t want to end up without a single A on my grades because of the thesis, right? The neighboring Anya is surely securing her A this year."
Sesi opened her mouth, hearing Anya’s words, her corners of the mouth sowhat uncontrollably twitching.
"So you want to exchange this for giving you an A on this term transcript where you often take leaves?"
"We are good friends, Sesi."
Anya first spread her hands and then raised her hand to swear: "I promise, once you give an A this term, I will definitely find the ti to finish the thesis, and next term, I assure you, I will not take any leaves again."
Sesi’s mouth twitched uncontrollably.
Anya blinked her big eyes, looking at Sesi: "Help out, Sesi, for your sake, I have been quite busy, I didn’t let you down, you also don’t want to let down, right?"
Sesi was silent.
After a while.
Sesi looked up at Anya, just about to speak, her gaze drifting past Anya’s face, landing at the spot behind Anya.
The puzzled Anya noticed Sesi’s gaze shift, blinked her eyes, then in a second, she changed, laughing, "Sesi, I was just joking with you, the thesis is already written, it’s in my room, I forgot to bring it to you, tomorrow, no, the day after tomorrow I’ll bring it to you."
Sesi said nothing, only staring directly behind Anya.
Anya blinked again, saying "Sesi, what are you looking at," then turned around and saw her brother Hawk, who had unknowingly appeared behind her, her expression visibly transford into one of delight and surprise.
"Brother? When did you co."
"When you were about to bribe your tutor into changing your grades."
