Following Sylphie outside, I was quickly t with the rest of the Norse Elves surrounding sothing or more specifically, soone.
Upon our arrival, the Elves noticed her presence and quickly parted to give her way.
However, that's the mont I finally saw who they were surrounding.
"Hey! Didn't I tell you guys? I told you, I'm not here to cause harm! I was just looking for my friend!" It was Serafall, bounded by wooden cuffs while throwing a tantrum like a child.
At the sa ti as I saw her, the sa goes for her.
"Oh! ChamCham! It's ! Serafall. Look, see? I told you I'm here for my friend!" Exactly as her face bead up while calling my na, everyone's eyes landed on .
"…I have no idea who she is," I answered while looking away.
"Eh? ChamCham? CHAMCHAM! Uwaahhh!~" Tears welled up in her eyes as she felt the pain of 'betrayal'.
"ChamCham, how could you do this to ? I thought we were friends!?" She cried once more.
anwhile, I noticed Sylphie was also staring at , her eyes telling that she was confused by the situation.
Giving her an awkward smile, Sylphie sighed and shook her head, fortunately, she seed to have understood my smile.
"Let her go. She's clean." Sylphie announced, earning doubtful looks not just from the Elves but even from Serafall herself.
"Eh? Really? I'm clean?"
"But Lady Sylphie." One of the Elves wanted to complain however seeing her shaking her head, she decided to zip her mouth.
"Heh? I'm finally free?" Right exactly as she finished her question, the answer ca in the form of her wooden cuffs loosening.
"Looks like we'll be having a talk, right ChamCham?" Sylphie turned her attention to with an amused expression, using the nickna that Serafall just used earlier.
"Hey! Only I can call ChamCham that way! You have no right to call him that!" Once free, Serafall pointed her finger at Sylphie while accusing her.
Sigh, Serafall, you're smarter than this.
"Oh really? Then what's the difference between us on why you can call him as such and I'm not?" Crossing her arms under her bosom, Sylphie looked at Serafall with a provocative smirk plastered on her face.
"It's obvious! I'm ChamCham's one and only best friend and you're not!" She answered with a condescending tone.
"Heh, ~ best friend? So you're just a friend then? Unlike you, I am his teacher, so I believe he has more respect for than yours." Sylphie replied with an air of superiority surrounding her.
Oh co on, you're the older one here! Why are you playing along with this?
Screaming in my mind, I was tempted to yell at them to stop when suddenly, Serafall grinned and answered sothing unexpected.
"Oh yeah? Just a teacher? Guess what! ChamCham will soon be my fiancee! So you lose!" As Serafall was basking in victory over her opponent, silence ensued in the vicinity as Sylphie and the other elves stared at Serafall with awkward smiles on their faces.
As for ? How I wish I could just dig in the ground and bury myself there forever.
This is too embarrassing for .
Where in God's na did the word fiancee co from?
As for Serafall, it took her quite a while to notice the silence around her, and finally realized the gravity of the words she just said.
Unable to bear it anymore, her face beca as red as a tomato as she scoured away with a flushed face.
Watching her leave the forest, I sighed in relief. At least she's finally gone for now, whatever happened here, I'll talk to her about it, there's no way she would just say that out of her desire to win the argunt, I can sll a conspiracy from it.
"Well well well, now that your 'fiancee' has left, shall we resu our magic lesson? Or should I give you so ti for this 'revelation'?" Turning around to face , I could see a teasing smile on her face as she made fun of .
"….No need for those, teacher." Gritting my teeth, I resisted the urge to get back at her for such harassnt. However, as she is my teacher, I won't be able to do so.
However, that doesn't an I won't get my revenge on her. Once I finish learning under her, I'll make sure that my revenge will be rembered by her forever.
'This is for the future of humanity.' I muttered to myself as a form of coping.
And so, the elves resud hunting for their morning breakfast while and my magic teacher, Sylphie went back to her hut to resu the session.
***
'I can't believe I just said that!' Back at the Underworld, Serafall wasted no ti getting on her bed and covering herself under the covers.
Her face was still beet red from the words she uttered earlier.
'I'm too embarrassed to face him now. What would he think of ?' Wanting to go back in ti to punch her past self on the head for revealing such a thing, Serafall sighed and finally cald down.
She rembered the words that her father told her after the Anti-Satan faction eting.
'No matter what, we'll ensure that Chamber stays in our family. It doesn't matter how, I noticed how Zekram Bael holds that boy in high regard. I don't know what it is but the reason should be important enough.' Was what her father told her during their talk.
'So I plan to engage you to him, Sera. I know you like him and hopefully, he likes you too. Don't worry, I'll take care of everything, you don't have to worry, this is for the sake of our family.' Then ca the revelation which shocked not only her but also her mother, Emilea.
However, during that talk, for so reason, she didn't feel any anger towards her father who just forced her into marriage.
In fact, she feels grateful for him.
Her heart kept skipping a beat whenever her thoughts began to wander at herself and ChamCham standing side by side—no longer as best friends but as husband and wife.
Before she knew it, she yawned and fell asleep on her bed.
***
While Serafall had fallen asleep, Sylphie was teaching a new technique called Mana Field.
Basically, it is a magic technique where the caster would use their mana to form a circular field around them, the larger the radius, the more it consus mana.
What this does however is similar to expanding one's senses.
Once you cast Mana Field, everything and everyone inside the Mana Field will be felt by the caster, effectively giving them so sort of limited sixth sense.
'It's like forming a domain. Maybe I could expand this Mana Field and improve it.' Eager to test this, thankfully we had break tis in order to restore our energies.
Fortunately, my demonic energy recovery is almost ten tis faster than average, so instead of resting to recover, I searched for a secluded place around the forest and decided to put my idea to the test.
First, I created my Mana Field or in my case, Demonic Field, and expanded it to 10 ters in radius, enough to cover several trees and grasses.
The next step took a few trials and errors before finally succeeded.
Right in front of was a Demonic Bullet, nothing sounds special about it.
Except for the fact that I didn't conjure this on top of my palm or doing gestures, instead, I cast the spell a few ters away from , far from my figure but still inside the domain of my Demonic Field.
'I can't believe it worked!' I couldn't help but yell excitedly in my mind.
Who wouldn't be? This thing might seem average but when it cos to combat, especially a critical one, being able to cast spells anywhere I like would be very devastating to my opponents.
Just imagine casting the sa demonic bullet but instead of my palms, I cast it behind their heads, effectively killing them with ease.
Ho ho ho. There's no way I'm going to let this magic technique slip up. I'll try to continue improving this and who knows, maybe soday in the future, I would be able to cast more than a single spell at the sa ti.
After testing my new technique for a few more tis, I went back to the hut, and Sylphie sensing nothing wrong, resud the session.
Maybe. Just maybe I could also use this for pranks.
***
Before I knew it, it was already midnight and it was ti for to go back.
"I've never t a student as talented as you. Not even the great mages from Alfheim. You're exceptional, Chamber." Before leaving, Sylphie didn't hesitate to shower with praises again.
Talent huh?
Of course, I know about my talent. There's a reason why I was deed as the youngest sorcerer back in Kamar-Taj.
Because before , it was my forr master, Kaecilius who was known as the youngest sorcerer, being able to beco a full-fledged sorcerer under Ancient One's guidance within just the age of 28.
As for , I stole that title after becoming a full-fledged sorcerer at the age of 15.
Now, before you ask a question. Let clear things up. I started learning sorcery when I was 13. While Kaecilius started learning when he was already 23.
It took two years to graduate from student, on the other hand, Kaecilius took five years.
You can already tell by this about the gap between the two of us, I'm much more talented than him.
However let's not count the future Sorcerer Supre, Dr. Strange. I'm not sure how many years or months he studied at Kamar-Taj but all I know is that guy is simply cheating by wielding an ability called Photographic mory.
If I had such ability, I'm confident I could beco a sorcerer in just a year.
"Thank you, Teacher." Thanking her, I bowed my head in respect.
"Good manners, Chamber. Now rember a few things before you go back tomorrow. Since you have already grasped the basics and fundantals, it is ti for you to learn more advanced techniques and ways to use your demonic power. And among them is being able to hide your Demonic Energy."
"Gradually, once you conceal your demonic energy, your devil sll will also start to fade and disappear."
Hearing her words made my eyes gleam in excitent.
So it has finally arrived. The chance to beco a novel's hidden boss has finally arrived!
Hidden bosses in novels are sotis known for two things.
First is an old man that the protagonist accidentally bumps into that turns out to be a long living relic of the past that decided to live a carefree life until death.
Lastly, a being so strong that their energy inside can't be asured by others.
Like there's an endless void of energy situated inside them.
