The first light of dawn crept across the sky.
Kagura stood atop a high-rise building, gazing down at New York City—a city she had called ho for nearly ten years.
At this early hour, New York was calm and peaceful.
From where she stood, the building directly across from her was none other than the New York Sanctum Sanctorum.
Right now, it was heavily guarded—shielded by the Avengers and the forces of Griffin Security.
The superheroes stood at the ready, waiting silently for the final battle to begin.
The silver-haired girl let out a quiet sigh.
Without realizing it, Kagura had developed a deep attachnt to this city—and to this world.
This Marvel universe, once so unfamiliar, now felt like ho.
Perhaps... this is what it ans to be human.
Settle down in a place long enough, and eventually, you grow used to it. You begin to identify with it. And in ti, you’ll fight for it. Protect it.
"So this... is what they call fate?"
A gentle breeze swept through, tossing her silver-white hair into the wind.
Brushing it back with one hand, she let a faint, content smile grace her lips.
"Yeah... maybe this is my fate after all."
She’d once boldly claid that people should carve their own path in the face of destiny.
But now?
Well, being thrown into the Marvel universe didn’t seem like such a bad deal after all.
Sure, the endless disasters and crises were a bit much...
And now, here it cos again—
The threat known as Dormammu—had arrived.
———————————————————————
A deep, guttural hum resonated through the sky as a massive, pitch-black portal slowly split open above New York.
Normally, Dormammu’s power couldn’t pierce into Earth’s reality from the Dark Dinsion.
But now, with two of the three Sanctums fallen and his most powerful emissary—the Ancient One—serving him, the weakened dinsional barrier was no longer enough to keep him out.
The dark rift continued to widen, like a giant eye glaring down at the Earth.
A mont later, jagged bolts of black lightning surged forth from the Dark Dinsion, slamming into the city like a tempest, unleashing terrifying bursts of energy across New York.
———————————————————————
"Cortana, can you hear ?!"
Dodging several black lightning bolts in midair, Kagura soared above the city with the luminous wings of her White Moon battle suit.
"They’ve started the assault!"
"Confird, Master. The attack has been reported."
"Vision is en route to assist, and the first wave of YORHA warriors capable of using dinsional magic will be combat-ready within the hour."
"Got it. Try to move faster—we don’t have much ti!" Kagura dove downward, landing just outside the Sanctum Sanctorum.
"Also—initiate ergency evacuation protocol. Switch Third New York City to Fortress Mode. Prepare for total defense!"
"Command acknowledged, Master. Fortress Mode activating now."
———————————————————————
As Cortana responded, the entire city of New York began to transform.
Traffic flowed swiftly and orderly into nearby bunkers.
Once inside, massive titanium armor panels sealed the entrances, and buildings began to descend underground.
Air raid sirens howled in the distance, but the citizens—trained by countless disaster drills—remained calm.
Guided by Rhodes Island’s industrial drones, civilians entered nearby shelters and were transported to safety deep underground by the city’s transformation systems.
Even buildings and property weren’t left behind.
Skyscrapers activated armored defense modes, shielding everyone inside before swiftly descending into New York’s subterranean refuge.
In that mont, as if mirrored by the horizon, New York City flipped inward—rebuilding itself below ground into a reversed tropolis of steel and light.
Soon, Fortress City was fully deployed.
The skyscrapers vanished, replaced by hardened military structures—active only in Fortress Mode.
Constructed from armor-grade alloy, these specialized defense structures bristled with energy shields and high-powered weapons, creating a massive defense network with formidable retaliatory strength.
In the blink of an eye, the shining tropolis of New York had beco an unshakable fortress of steel.
But this ti, the enemy was different.
They ca from another universe, the Dark Dinsion—and they were unlike any invaders Earth had faced before.
———————————————————————
Black lightning still raged through the sky.
Dodging and weaving, Kagura evaded the deadly bolts while casting dinsional spells to generate massive protective barriers.
Desperately trying to shield the Sanctum from being reduced to rubble.
All around the Sanctum’s Brick Street, chaos reigned.
Buildings shattered.
The ground split open.
Smoke and sparks flew in every direction.
Even the superheroes stationed nearby were caught off-guard by the lightning storm’s sudden onslaught.
And despite the fortress city’s vast arsenal, conventional weapons couldn’t do much against lightning.
———————————————————————
’Whoooosh—!’
A powerful gust of wind imbued with dinsional magic swept through the area near the Sanctum.
It was Doctor Stephen Strange—casting a powerful dinsional spell: The Winds of Watoum.
This spell created a sealed-off zone, like a massive do, isolating the battlefield within.
It prevented any fighting or chaotic energy from spilling out into the rest of the city.
Moreover, the Winds of Watoum suppressed extre weather phenona within its bounds—nullifying storms, thunder, rain, sand, and more.
Regardless of whether they were naturally occurring or magically conjured.
With the spell fully deployed, the black lightning that had bombarded the city was finally subdued, and the shattered Brick Street found a mont of peace.
———————————————————————
"Oh? You’ve grown stronger, Stephen Strange."
A familiar yet distant woman’s voice echoed from above.
"As expected of the one I once placed my hopes in... you’ve finally beco the Sorcerer Supre. That makes very proud."
Kagura looked up—and there she was.
The Ancient One, now completely consud by the darkness of the Dark Dinsion.
Her dark robes billowed in the wind, a hood obscuring most of her face.
But the power radiating from her was undeniable—nearly untouchable.
She was stronger now than she had ever been as Sorcerer Supre.
And yet, even shrouded in darkness, her presence remained as majestic as ever.
"Master..." Kagura’s brow furrowed. "So, it’s co to this—the very future you once feared the most."
"Kagura Hitomi," the Ancient One said with a soft smile. "Of course you’re here. This is your ho, after all... isn’t it?"
"How does it feel, standing at the threshold of a dark future?" she continued. "You once said you would defy fate... that you’d shape the world into what you wanted it to be."
"Well then—show . Show that resolve. Prove it to —with your strength!"
"...Of course." Blue lines of energy surged through Kagura’s body—the power core of her suit glowing bright.
"As you wish!" A bolt of lightning split the stormy sky.
For a single, blinding instant—the world turned black and white.
Above, the figure cloaked in darkness.
Below, the girl clad in silver and light.
A black-and-white silhouette etched across the heavens—two fates poised to clash.
As if it were the final war between gods and mortals.
Tell , O God—can you bleed?
You will. Watch .
