anwhile, Yang Kai stood frozen, sweat beading on his forehead. A sudden realization hit him like a cold wave—he had completely forgotten about Xia Ning Chang's unique physique!

The main reason for his panic was the fact that, while Xia Ning Chang had been unconscious, he and Su Yan had been... together. For days.

They thought she was sleeping, but what if... what if she had awakened in the middle of everything?

The thought was horrifying.

Su Yan had told him about the anaesthetics she used on Xia Ning Chang. But she had no idea about the true nature of Xia Ning Chang's physique.

Priceless... Simply priceless!

Xia Ning Chang possessed a Spiritual dicine Holy Body, a unique and rare constitution. Her body, combined with her cultivation technique, allowed her to transform any type of energy into a pill-like form. There was no way a re anaesthetic could affect her in such a way! Even if she had fallen unconscious from it, she should've woken up far sooner—well before today's dawn!

Yang Kai's body stiffened, and the sweat kept pouring from him. He stood at the entrance , immobilized for nearly two hours, unable to summon the courage to face the room where Xia Ning Chang rested. He dreaded the awkward conversation that was sure to co.

In fact, Yang Kai would've gladly drilled himself into the very core of the earth if it ant avoiding any potential embarrassnt or the humiliation he knew was coming. After what felt like an eternity, he slowly started moving again, each step chanical, as if forced by so higher power.

When he finally entered the stone chamber, the air still carried a moist, fragrant scent—a subtle reminder of her presence. The closer he got to Xia Ning Chang, the more he could feel her breath, just a little heavier than before. It was a small change, one that would have gone unnoticed by most, but not by Yang Kai. His attention to detail couldn't let it slip by.

This is really awkward...

Yang Kai wiped the sweat from his brow, taking a deep breath to steady himself. With a heavy heart, he walked slowly to Xia Ning Chang's side and sat down beside her.

She lay motionless, her body perfectly still, save for the faint rise and fall of her chest as she breathed. Her petite form took up one side of the stone bed, her slender legs stretched out, the soft green of her dress complenting her serene appearance. In that mont, she resembled an exquisite spring plant, delicate and untouched, a decoration in nature's embrace.

Yang Kai's gaze never left her. He watched intently as her breathing grew slightly heavier, her chest rising and falling in rhythm with her pulse. Her heart seed to race, and a faint blush began to tint her cheeks. Her eyelids fluttered ever so subtly, betraying the stirrings of consciousness.

"Hello...?" Yang Kai let out a deep sigh, bending closer to Xia Ning Chang's ear. In a soft voice, he called, "Junior Sister Xia... Junior Sister Xia..." But she remained motionless, her eyes still shut, as though still trapped in slumber.

A mont of hesitation passed before Yang Kai, feeling the weight of the awkwardness, made a decision. He leaned in, his voice dropping to a teasing whisper. "I'm going to lift your veil..."

Yang Kai's hand moved slowly toward the veil, his eyes scanning every subtle change in Xia Ning Chang's body language and expressions, looking for any sign of resistance. But even as his fingers grazed the edge of her veil, Xia Ning Chang remained still, unyielding.

Impressive, Yang Kai thought, silently admiring her resilience. She's holding onto the illusion...

He tried various thods, each ti pushing the boundaries further, but still, Xia Ning Chang didn't stir. Her act of feigned slumber remained unbroken.

Eventually, Yang Kai, amused by her persistence, let go of the veil, a strange grin playing on his lips. "Junior Sister, since you refuse to wake up, I suppose I'll have to..." He purposefully let his voice linger on the last word, the aning behind it unmistakable.

With a glint in his eye, Yang Kai extended his fingers like claws, tracing them lightly across her lower abdon. The delicate, unbearable sensation of the touch was almost more than Xia Ning Chang could bear. Her body, despite her best efforts, betrayed her as it shifted slightly, subtle movents that didn't go unnoticed. The corners of her mouth tightened into a barely noticeable arc, yet her eyes remained closed, stubbornly pretending to be asleep.

Yang Kai continued, testing her resolve, a twisted sort of enjoynt in watching her struggle.

"Alright... it seems that you really are unconscious," Yang Kai murmured, his voice dripping with mock concern. "So you won't mind if I..." His words trailed off, and a crooked grin tugged at his lips as his hand slowly drifted closer to the gentle swell of her breast.

"Junior Sister Xia," he continued with a fake innocence, eyes glinting, "If you want to stop, just say the word. I'll respect your wishes, of course."

But she remained motionless, her eyes still closed. Yang Kai's grin widened. "Hmm, no response?" He leaned in just a little closer, the tension rising, his hand hovering over her chest. "I guess silence ans 'yes' then," he teased.

Xia Ning Chang's Inner Monologue – The Night She Awoke

I don't know what woke first—the shift in energy, the sensation of my own heartbeat thundering in my chest, or... their voices. At first, it was distant... soft. A moan, a breath, the unmistakable rhythm of skin against skin echoing faintly in the cavern. I thought I was dreaming. A fragile, hazy dream stitched together by whispers and longing.

Then ca Su Yan's voice—tender and breathless, calling his na like a prayer. And Yang Kai's groan, low and husky. There was no mistaking it anymore. Their union was not just physical—it was sacred, intimate. I felt like an intruder in their temple.

My heart stopped. I wanted to move. I should have moved. But my body refused. I wasn't paralyzed by fear... I was frozen in shock. In awe. In heartbreak.

Why am I awake, you ask?

The anesthetic Su Yan used should have kept under for days more. But of course... my body—the Spiritual dicine Holy Body—it filters impurities and foreign substances too efficiently. Always vigilant. Always pure. She didn't know. None of them knew. Of course I woke up early. Of course I lay here, hearing everything.

Every whisper. Every gasp. Every thrust. Every soft plea of surrender.

I should've said sothing. I should've sat up, made it stop. It would've been easy. Just a word, and they would've pulled apart. Su Yan would've panicked. Yang Kai would've apologized.

But... I didn't.

My cheeks burned. My breath caught in my throat. I hated myself for listening. But I didn't hate them. I loved them.

Su Yan—elegant, restrained, brave. A sister in cultivation. A rival in love.

Yang Kai... the center of my sky. The axis upon which my world turns. He was the one who held my heart without even realizing it. A foolish girl's heart, maybe... but no less sincere.

Even in the deepest part of this night, I couldn't bla them. I only wanted to understand what this feeling inside was.

Was it jealousy? A sharp pang, yes—but it faded. What replaced it was sothing strange. Longing. A desire that wrapped itself around my bones and whispered promises I dared not speak. They were joined, body and soul. The intimacy, the connection... I could feel it through every sound, every breath. As if I were there, between them—not as a voyeur, but as a missing piece.

I was embarrassed. Flushed. But not hurt. Not really. I wanted to be there... not as a witness, but as a part of him. Of them. Part of that warmth. That closeness. That acceptance.

So I stayed still, listening, trembling in silence, until the sounds finally faded and their exhausted breaths filled the air. And then, for hours, I lay there. My face turned away. My body aching—not from pain, but from yearning. From emptiness that knew exactly what it was missing.

Was I wrong to stay silent?

Perhaps. But in that mont... silence was all I had. My voice would have shattered sothing delicate. And I wasn't ready to bear the weight of what would follow.

When Yang Kai returned to the cave later, his footsteps were hesitant, each one heavier than the last. I could sense it—his guilt, his dread. He lingered outside the entrance for what felt like an eternity. I counted each breath, waiting... wondering what he would do. What he would say, if he found out.

He thinks I'm still unconscious.

Poor Yang Kai.

Even now, as he walks in, the air trembles with his anxiety. His gaze lingers on longer than it should. I can feel it—burning against my skin like fire. He sits beside , so close that his warmth bleeds into my bones. My heart races, but I don't move. I keep up the act.

Still asleep. Still silent. Still hiding.

He leans closer, his breath brushing against my ear. "Junior Sister Xia... Junior Sister Xia..."

His voice is soft. Hesitant. Apologetic in a way he doesn't realize.

Then cos the teasing. The veil, the touches, the playful warnings. His fingers trace over my abdon, and it takes everything in not to squirm. My body responds before my mind can stop it. A quiver. A hitch in my breath. And he notices.

Of course he notices.

Yang Kai is observant. And yet... rciful. Gentle.

Yet he doesn't push. Not really.

Even when his hand lingers too long. Even when his voice dips with mischief.

He always gives the chance to stop him.

But I don't.

Why?

Because I don't want him to.

Is that shaful?

I don't know.

I've never wanted anything the way I want him—his touch, his attention, his affection. Not just in the sweet, innocent way of a disciple admiring her senior... but in a raw, unspoken way that makes my pulse race and my body ache. A hunger that's been growing in silence, watered by every smile he's given , every word of praise, every mont I've caught him looking at like I was more than just a junior.

And now, as I lie here, pretending to be asleep, I can't help but wonder:

If I opened my eyes right now... would he kiss ? Would he stop? Or would he whisper my na again, but this ti with the sa reverence he gave Su Yan?

Would he hold like that? Would he... choose too?

I know it's wrong to hide behind this veil of silence. I know I can't pretend forever. Eventually, the mont will end. He will rise. The day will co. And I'll have to face it all.

But for just a little longer... I want to feel what it's like to be desired. Even if it's only a fantasy. Even if the mont passes like a dream.

And if he dares to cross the boundary, I'll make sure he never forgets it. Because I won't be Xia Ning Chang the passive observer anymore. I'll be the one who claims what her heart yearns for.
