Chapter 759: End of the World

The snow fell from the sky, and landed at Kiernan’s hair, and shoulders.

He was standing outside, on a sidewalk of a snowy neighborhood, and he watched as the world around him transford into a winter wonderland.

The houses in the neighborhood had lights on as it was nightti, and each of them had Christmas decorations hanging about.

‘What am I supposed to do here?’

He wondered and started walking around the neighborhood without having any actual clue about what he should be doing.

When he gazed inside the houses, through ajar curtains, he was able to see families gathered around a table.

They were praying while so of them were… crying?

It didn’t look like they were arguing but rather that they were sad about sothing.

In that mont, he stopped walking, and a rush of new mories flooded inside his mind like a torrential storm.

“Ah…”

Kiernan exclaid.

The world was ending.

This was the last ever Christmas and the world was scheduled to end in about six days, on January 1st.

Everyone already knew about their imminent doom, but no one could stop it, and thus, everyone had already resigned to death.

The apocalypse was the doing of a single man—Idrian redian—who was the strongest man in the world.

His strength was so great that no one could challenge him, not even the combined forces of all the world’s armies.

In this world, a big portion of the humans were stuck in Martial Recruit and Martial Soldier level of strength.

It was a rather weak world.

However, Idrian redian was different, as his strength was already Low Stage Martial Legend, and in a world as weak as this, it made him the closest thing to a God!

He made a rather chilling announcent a month ago that at the start of the next year, he was going to end the world.

Most people thought that he was joking, but then he decided to destroy the biggest continent in the world in just a few hours.

Nobody was thinking that he was joking after that.

Idrian redian had always been considered a very strange individual, and nobody knew that his ntal state was so much in ruins.

He was going to destroy this world for one simple reason—it was too weak—there was nobody here who could challenge him.

It frustrated him to no end.

“And that’s where I step in…”

Kiernan whispered to himself.

The mories he received weren’t his own, but they were about Idrian redian.

Kiernan himself, whoever’s body he was currently in, shouldn’t exist in this world, so he was an anomaly that nobody would expect.

‘I guess I need to stop Idrian redian from destroying this world, but Low Stage Martial Legend? I am only a Middle Stage Martial King.’

Kiernan thought with a frown.

He looked around the snowy neighborhood and expected that there must be so reason why he was currently in this place.

‘Idrian redian must be sowhere in this city. I can’t possibly find him if I have to search through the entire world.’

Kiernan thought.

In that mont, an alarm blared throughout the city.

“…Idrian has been sighted in the city!”

“…Please, stay inside and out of the view of the windows!”

The sound of the voice was loud, and all around the neighborhood, the families closed the curtains and went to hide in the basent with their loved ones.

The whole city was suddenly trembling in fear, and all they hoped was that they didn’t die before January 1st.

All they wanted was to spend the last remaining days with their loved ones.

“…I guess that’s my call.”

Kiernan slid his hands inside his pockets and started heading in the direction of the powerful energy surge.

He could feel Idrian redian, and he was strong, but he wasn’t going to back away from a challenge.

“Ah…”

Idrian walked down the main street of the city, looking at the sky, and just letting the snow fall onto his face.

The pedestrians were just screaming and running away from him, hiding at whatever place they could find.

Idrian had long black hair with bored eyes, and he was completely unfazed by the chaos around him.

It was like he was a God making his tour around the humans—who were basically ants to him.

At that mont, from one of the windows of a nearby building, a person pointed a sniper rifle at him and pulled the trigger.

The sniper bullet hit Idrian in the temple, but it got crushed and fell to the snowy ground harmlessly.

Idrian didn’t actually even notice the bullet had him and, thus, ignored it all as he walked down the street.

The sniper dropped his gun and went into a fetal position while bawling his eyes out.

High in the air, a news helicopter captured Idrian walking down the street, and that feed was shown in every corner of the world.

They had been keeping a very close eye on Idrian’s every movent, and for so reason, he didn’t stop them from doing so.

It was probably because he just didn’t care, as he seed to be in the deepest pit of depression.

Nothing in the world excited him or made him feel anything.

It was like he was just a hollow shell, and ending the world was the only thing that could bring him any sort of satisfaction.

In that mont, a figure was walking ahead of him, heading straight to him, and he looked relaxed with hands slipped inside his pockets.

“What is that fool doing? He will be killed!”

The news reporter boarding the helicopter cried out and would rather not have murder shown on the television.

However, the producers told her to keep on going.

Kiernan stopped before Idrian, who was still staring at falling snow and was completely ignoring him as if he didn’t exist.

Idrian was about to walk into him, but then Kiernan touched his chest and stopped him from walking any further.

Finally, Idrian dropped his gaze onto him, and his bored eyes turned cold.

“…Idrian is God. Idrian does not like being touched.”

Idrian said, grabbed Kiernan’s wrist, and tried crushing it, but to his surprise, nothing happened to it.

Kiernan shrugged off his hand, reeled back his fist, and punched Idrian in the face in front of the whole world.

Idrian stumbled back and dropped onto the snow.

There was an imnse look of shock in his face as if he couldn’t understand what had just happened.

The punch actually hurt.

It was the first ti that he had actually been hurt.
