Ruan Qiuqiu hastily let go of his arm and reflexively rolled away, pressing down on his tail as she did so.
She just had a dream about him and woke up under the sa animal skin blanket as him. This was a bit too stimulating.
Ruan Qiuqiu quickly blinked and raised her weak arm to wipe away her tears. She bit her lip. She felt hot despite the cold sweat.
Nothing happened, right?
Ruan Qiuqiu carefully checked and discovered that they were still clothed. Other than their clothes being a bit ssy, there was no sign that anything happened. It was only then that she sighed in relief.
She recalled the image of Yuan Jue violently securing the animal skin curtain with bloodied hands last night. Ruan Qiuqiu touched her forehead, which wasn’t as hot as before. She sighed in relief.
Last night, she had felt as if she was subrged in icy water, and then a hard heater had appeared later.
She figured out the answer to Yuan Jue’s strange behavior. The reason he was so anxious about replacing the curtain was probably because she was too cold last night. The reason they were sleeping under the sa blanket was probably because she had moved over to him.
Thinking of this, Ruan Qiuqiu felt her heart beat faster and beca more clear-headed.
She couldn’t help but think of that long dream. That dream felt as if it was sothing that had actually happened.
She couldn’t clearly rember much from her childhood. From her earliest mories, she had been living in an orphanage. Later on, a kind-hearted couple had adopted her. It was only that they soon had their own child after adopting her.
She had only been there for a year before she beca a superfluous addition to the family. It didn’t help that her personality was sowhat dull.
In order to not trouble her adoptive parents, who had been kind enough to adopt her, Ruan Qiuqiu went back to the orphanage after discussing it with them. While taking care of the younger children in the orphanage, she did her best to study and grow up well.
Her health had never been good. She would frequently be unable to move her hands and feet. After the end of the world, her situation improved when she awakened her ability.
In that past, she wouldn’t have overthought on this issue, but her experiences in the past several days made Ruan Qiuqiu think she was originally from this world.
If last night’s dream was a mory hidden deep in her soul, that ant her parents and Yuan Jue’s parents knew each other. Where did they go? Why did they leave them?
Ruan Qiuqiu couldn’t figure it out. She felt an inexplicable sadness.
If that dream was real, then they had t each other early on. Their parents were just joking about engaging them, but their parents’ wishes had still co true under rather fantastical circumstances.
But, Yuan Jue and her had almost died and lost the chance to et again.
She turned and looked at Yuan Jue. She felt even more upset.
Ruan Qiuqiu’s eyes were red, and her cheeks and ears were flushed too.
Yuan Jue, who had woken up the mont that Ruan Qiuqiu stirred awake, saw this sight with his demon consciousness. It looked as if she had been horribly wronged.
Yuan Jue imperceptibly pursed his lips. Unease grew in his heart.
He had been very nervous last night. He didn’t know why his body had felt so strange. He hadn’t dared to move and had rigidly laid on the stone bed last night, letting Ruan Qiuqiu hug him.
By the ti she was deep asleep, he had gradually cald down and remained in the sa position as he concentrated on cultivating.
The fragntation of his demon core had fallen to an irreversible state. Whenever he tried to repair his demon core, the fiend energy would beco agitated, making him feel as if his body was being torn to shreds.

Just like the first ti, he felt bloodthirsty when he used the fiend energy, but as long as he thought about Ruan Qiuqiu, that uncontrollable desire for blood and killing would quickly calm down.
In the span of only one night’s work, he had successfully condensed a fiend core and reached the early stage of level 2. It was about the sa level as his regressed demon power.
