She wanted to beco his wife, the most glamorous woman in City A. She would have everything, except for love.

Of course, that wasn’t sothing she needed!

Qi Cheng looked at her intently and walked to her side. "Ji Yunhuan, don’t you think you’ve been a bit too serious lately?"

"What’s wrong with being serious?" She glanced at him. Her obedient deanor made Qi Cheng want to reward her.

Just as he lowered his head to kiss her, soone nearby interrupted. "Qi Cheng."

Qi Cheng had to stop.

Despite his arrogance, Qi Cheng always cared about his image in front of friends. Ji Yunhuan had noticed he highly valued his friends.

A young man dressed in formal attire appeared before them. He didn’t seem to be much older than Qi Cheng and was accompanied by a beautiful woman.

Ji Yunhuan had seen this man the last ti she went with Qi Cheng to et friends. His na was Fu Zilin. He was the president of a chain of hotels.

After spending so ti together, Ji Yunhuan knew that most of Qi Cheng’s friends were either extrely wealthy or influential, often top figures on an international level.

"Director Fu." Ji Yunhuan politely greeted Fu Zilin and turned her gaze to the woman beside him.

If she were just an ordinary pretty woman, Ji Yunhuan wouldn’t have minded. But this woman...

Was the renowned pianist Xia Duo, who had recently perford in Vienna.

Qi Cheng said to Ji Yunhuan, "Go wander around or have a coffee downstairs while you wait for ."

He had sothing to discuss with Fu Zilin.

He also wasn’t used to talking business with a woman present.

Ji Yunhuan agreed, politely nodded to Fu Zilin and the woman beside him, then walked out.

Qi Cheng watched her elegant yet self-assured manner and felt a bit pleased.

He thought Ji Yunhuan was very clever. Except for constantly making him angry, she didn’t need much guidance.

If it had been another woman, she would have either turned with arrogance or embarrassed him.

Although Qi Cheng was courteous to Fu Zilin, his status was no lower. Often, Fu Zilin had to defer to him.

As Qi Cheng’s wife, Ji Yunhuan naturally couldn’t appear impolite.

But she couldn’t be too polite, either, losing the stature of Mrs. Qi.

Therefore, her earlier behavior could only be described as perfect.

A bit less arrogant, a bit more flattering...

Ji Yunhuan walked out the door, happy not to have to put on a show beside Qi Cheng.

She had barely taken a few steps when a female voice called out behind her. "Ms. Ji, please wait!"

It was Xia Duo, who had greeted her inside.

Although even Fu Zilin had called her Mrs. Qi, Xia Duo deliberately addressed her as Ms. Ji.

Instinct told Ji Yunhuan this woman was looking for trouble.

It had previously been said that among the artists who ca from City A, so had been involved with Qi Cheng.

And this Xia Duo was one of the lucky ones.

While Ji Yunhuan didn’t know the exact story between Xia Duo and Qi Cheng, the look Xia Duo gave Qi Cheng earlier was clearly one of lingering affection.

Downstairs was a café. The two won sat down. Their bodyguards waited outside.

Xia Duo sat gracefully in her chair, elegantly lifted her coffee with slender fingers. "I heard you are Mr. Qi’s wife. I was really surprised."

"Really? What surprised you?" Ji Yunhuan asked politely.

"Mr. Qi has always liked gentle and talented won. Your temper, infamous in City A, makes you the least likely woman he would want. How did you manage to marry into the Qi Family?" Xia Duo’s eyes were filled with curiosity.

Her words were an offense disguised as politeness.

Ji Yunhuan smirked, admiring her own intuition. "From what you’ve said, Ms. Xia, I deduced you want to ask how soone as awful as could marry Qi Cheng, and why you, so gentle and talented, were cast aside by Mr. Qi. Am I right? Next ti, ask more directly. I’m a blunt person. I don’t always understand subtle hints."

"..." Xia Duo felt like choking on her own frustration.

What she intended as an insult to Ji Yunhuan backfired, turning into a jab at herself for being dumped by Qi Cheng.

An irritation rose from Xia Duo’s heart, but she struggled to maintain her composure.

She forced a smile. "Who said I was dumped by Mr. Qi? How are you so sure it wasn’t who left him?"

Ji Yunhuan’s gaze turned cold, with a hint of mockery. "Is that so? My bad. So, Ms. Xia, why exactly did you co to find ?"

"I..." For a mont, Xia Duo was speechless.

Ji Yunhuan chuckled derisively. "Since you can’t seem to say it, let help you. You still have feelings for Qi Cheng and ca looking for a sense of superiority. You want to feel unworthy of marrying Qi Cheng. Am I wrong?"

Xia Duo’s face turned awkward, but she still held onto her pride. "That’s not true."

"Good then! But I fear you might be deluding yourself. If you think a few words could make feel inferior, you’re mistaken. I’m Ji Yunhuan. I may lack many things, but confidence isn’t one of them. If this is your way of undermining a rival, it’s the worst possible way!"

Under the lights, Xia Duo’s face twisted slightly. "Ji Yunhuan, who do you think you are to talk to like this?"

"That depends on what you think you are, Ms. Xia!" Ji Yunhuan retorted unyieldingly.

Xia Duo gripped her coffee cup tightly, her anger rising. She wanted to throw the coffee at Ji Yunhuan. But the mont she raised her hand, Ji Yunhuan threw her coffee first, quickly and viciously, leaving Xia Duo with no ti to react.

Ji Yunhuan smiled amicably. "When it cos to throwing coffee, I’m the best. Ms. Xia, never pick the wrong opponent again."

With that, she calmly took out her wallet, paid for her coffee, and walked out the door.

The café was crowded, and many people recognized Xia Duo. Now, sitting there in such a sorry state, she beca the center of attention.

And this incident quickly spread around the celebrity circles of City A, widely circulated among friends.

The story of Ji Yunhuan bullying Xia Duo while being favored by Qi Cheng beca a hot topic in City A.

As soon as Ji Yunhuan returned ho with Qi Cheng from the hotel, her second sister-in-law called. "Yunhuan, what happened between you and Xia Duo? If Mom finds out, she’ll probably scold you again."

Qi Cheng’s mother valued knowledge and etiquette and disliked bullying. Even if few dared to say anything to her face, she didn’t want to leave a bad impression on others.

Ji Yunhuan hadn’t expected the news to spread so quickly. She opened her phone and saw Xia Duo’s disheveled appearance on social dia, and couldn’t help but laugh.
