Qi Cheng also smiled.

"Yeah!"

Even without saying it, it was happiness.

She held Qi Cheng’s hand and wandered around the vicinity. Qi Cheng’s bodyguards followed them from a distance.

To Ji Yunhuan, those people felt more like surveillance, making her feel uncomfortable all over.

But Qi Cheng said these people listened directly to him and wouldn’t report his whereabouts to the Qi Family.

Ji Yunhuan held Qi Cheng’s hand, feeling so warm and safe beside him. If only Yangyang were here, how wonderful it would be!

She couldn’t help but ask Qi Cheng, "Did you see Yangyang when you went back today? How is he doing? Is he still mad at you?"

"I went early in the morning. He was probably still asleep. Do you miss him?" Qi Cheng looked at her, knowing she always kept Yangyang in her heart.

She just couldn’t help but deliberately not ntion him.

Ji Yunhuan said, "We’re too happy. Leaving him with our second sister-in-law, I always feel bad about it."

"He chose it himself. Even if we brought him here, he would just cry and only think of our second sister-in-law." Thinking of the past, Qi Cheng beca a bit angry.

After that, they saw Yangyang at ho, but Yangyang always ignored him. Sotis, he would only speak to him when forced.

After Qi Cheng finished speaking, Ji Yunhuan didn’t say anything for a long ti.

Qi Cheng knew his words made Ji Yunhuan very sad.

He stopped and, under the street lamps, looked at her. She was trying hard to pretend she didn’t care.

He said, "I was just saying. It’s not like I don’t care about him. I’ll ask my second brother to bring Yangyang over when he has ti. With my second brother around, he shouldn’t cry as much."

"I’m fine." Ji Yunhuan smiled. "You don’t need to feel pressured about this."

Many tis, she couldn’t help but think, if she hadn’t made the wrong decision at the beginning, things wouldn’t have ended up like this.

All she could say was, these are all consequences!

Things in this world are really unpredictable.

When you make a decision, you never know when you’ll regret it.

After their walk, Qi Cheng worked in the study for a while before coming back to their room to shower and sleep.

He got into bed. Ji Yunhuan had just woken up and looked at the ti, complaining, "So late."

"I need to go out tomorrow," Qi Cheng held her in his arms. "I’ll try to be back by night."

"Oh." She knew he had been keeping her company for so many days; it was impossible for him to be idle every day. Although so work could be handled at ho, there were things he needed to attend to in person.

Qi Cheng said, "I’ll miss you when I’m away."

"I’ll miss you too."

Ji Yunhuan smiled at him.

Qi Cheng lowered his head and gently kissed her. "Get so sleep. I won’t bother you."

He rarely let her stay up late, always ensuring she had enough sleep.

Ji Yunhuan leaned against him, feeling warm and comfortable.

The next morning, Qi Cheng should have left early, but he lingered to have breakfast with Ji Yunhuan before leaving.

In the afternoon, while Ji Yunhuan was watering flowers in the backyard, Aunt Liu walked over. "Madam, you have a visitor."

Ji Yunhuan put down the watering can and walked to the front yard. Qi’s mother, dressed elegantly, entered with a group of people.

Ji Yunhuan’s heart tightened. She had offended Qi’s mother last ti. Qi’s mother was likely here for trouble or revenge.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t co over when Qi Cheng wasn’t around.

But, no matter what, running away was useless. Ji Yunhuan walked over calmly. "Auntie."

Qi’s mother looked at her and then scanned the yard, not revealing her intentions. She simply said, "I heard Qi Cheng has been staying here these days. I ca to take a look."

Ji Yunhuan knew it couldn’t be that simple but still respectfully said, "You’re welco to look around."

Because she was with Qi Cheng now, she didn’t dare to be as arrogant as last ti.

Ji Yunhuan realized she had always been her own worst enemy.

Qi’s mother noticed her change but didn’t expose her.

She just glanced around the yard and entered the living room.

Even Aunt Liu couldn’t help but feel nervous.

After all, she had never seen such a dignified old lady like Qi’s mother.

It wasn’t wrong to call Qi’s mother an old lady since she wasn’t young anymore. But her appearance, deanor, and aura made it hard to associate her with typical old ladies. It was also hard to imagine she was the mother of three n.

Under any circumstances, she still looked glamorous.

Qi’s mother sat down in the living room.

Although Ji Yunhuan didn’t usually care, Qi Cheng was always one for comfort. So the tea served to Qi’s mother was the best they had.

Qi’s mother didn’t pick on it.

She sat elegantly on the sofa, took a sip, then looked at Ji Yunhuan mockingly. "Sit. No need to stand. You weren’t this polite last ti you saw ."

Ji Yunhuan sat down without a word.

Qi’s mother looked at Ji Yunhuan’s pregnant belly.

Thinking this was Qi Cheng’s child, her heart didn’t know where to rest.

Ji Yunhuan saw Qi’s mother and guessed she knew about the child.

Curious, she asked, "Did you co just to see this child?"

"No." Qi’s mother surprisingly denied it. She said to Ji Yunhuan, "I ca to see you."

"See ?" Ji Yunhuan thought, so she did co for trouble.

Qi’s mother said, "Since you’re carrying Qi Cheng’s child, how can you stay outside?"

"I don’t understand what you an." It didn’t seem like she ca for trouble.

Ji Yunhuan suddenly found it hard to read this old lady.

Qi’s mother glanced at Ji Yunhuan. "When Qi Cheng ca back, he told he only wanted to be with you and no one else. He also ntioned your pregnancy..."

Ji Yunhuan sat straight, silent, wanting to see what Qi’s mother wanted to say.

Qi’s mother gave Ji Yunhuan a look. "You’re really capable. You can make so angry and still have Qi Cheng’s unwavering loyalty, not to ntion carrying his child."

"I don’t know your purpose in telling all this." After so much talking, Ji Yunhuan still didn’t know if she ca to criticize or comfort her.

Qi’s mother looked directly at Ji Yunhuan, seeing her being so straightforward. She didn’t beat around the bush. "I ca to ask what you and Qi Cheng plan to do. Staying outside indefinitely?"

Ji Yunhuan paused.

What did Qi’s mother an?

Could she possibly be rciful enough to approve of her and Qi Cheng?

Qi’s mother said to Ji Yunhuan, "You gave birth to Yangyang, left him with our second sister-in-law. Now, you’re having another child. Are you going to repeat the sa mistake? If I were a mother like you, I’d rather not have this child at all."
