She was so useless, she was terrified of Qi Cheng to death, and wanted to get rid of this thought as soon as possible.

When she arrived at the Li Family’s house, Li’s mother had prepared a table full of dishes and greeted Ji Yunhuan, "Sit down!"

Ji Yunhuan did not expect her change to be so significant.

Li Longtao nodded to her, hinting that he had already settled things with his mother.

Li’s mother sat down and looked at Ji Yunhuan, "What I said that day was harsh, it was a mont of confusion. Since Longtao likes you, and you young people are willing, I have nothing to say."

Ji Yunhuan saw her sincerity and decided not to dwell on that day’s events, "It’s okay, I don’t mind what happened before."

"That’s good," said Li’s mother. "If it weren’t for you, our Longtao wouldn’t know what would have happened then."

It seed that Li Longtao had told her everything, leading to such a big change in Li’s mother.

However, her sudden warmth towards her made Ji Yunhuan feel very unaccustod.

Li’s mother had a train to catch in the evening, and Ji Yunhuan went to see her off. She initially suggested that Li’s mother fly back, but Li’s mother said she wasn’t used to flying and thought planes were unsafe, leaving Ji Yunhuan with no choice.

After seeing off Li’s mother, she returned ho. She had originally given Aunt Liu a holiday break, but unexpectedly Aunt Liu was still at ho.

As soon as she walked in, she heard Aunt Liu greet her, "Ms. Ji, you’re finally back."

Finally...

From these two words, it was clear that Aunt Liu seed to have been waiting for her for a long ti. Ji Yunhuan looked at Aunt Liu in great surprise, "Didn’t I give you a break to go ho for the New Year? Why are you still here?"

"But Mr. Qi has been staying here these days."

"Qi Cheng?" Ji Yunhuan was astonished, "He’s here every day?"

"Yes, he waits for you every day."

Every day...

She originally thought that if she didn’t co back, he wouldn’t see her and would eventually give up.

Ji Yunhuan found it utterly incomprehensible, "Wasn’t he supposed to go ho for the New Year?"

He had a family; there was no need for him to stay here, and besides, wasn’t he neglecting his child?

Wasn’t it too much?

"Where is he now?" Ji Yunhuan asked.

"Upstairs."

As soon as Aunt Liu finished speaking, Ji Yunhuan quickly went upstairs.

Qi Cheng was on the phone; it was Qi’s mother calling, "It’s the New Year, where did you run off to? Your phone wasn’t working. Aren’t you planning to co back to see the child?"

"I have sothing to do," Qi Cheng’s voice was very calm.

"You’re too willful! Qi Cheng! As an adult, how can you not co ho for the New Year? The whole family is here, only you are missing." Qi’s mother couldn’t help but nag on the phone. Her voice was serious, but full of affection.

Qi Cheng heard the door opening and turned around to see Ji Yunhuan just stepping in. She stood at the door, staring at him with a complex expression.

Qi Cheng said a few words to his mother and hung up the phone.

Ji Yunhuan watched him, her emotions mixed.

When she was at her warm ho, she had thought Qi Cheng might be there, but she thought he wouldn’t be. She didn’t expect that he had really been here all these days.

"You finally ca back." He smiled, seemingly not angry for waiting so long, and walked towards her with a smile, "I have been waiting for you."

Facing his outstretched hand, Ji Yunhuan instinctively swung her hand away, "You are a bit annoying."

"What’s annoying?"

"Why didn’t you go ho for the New Year? We agreed that we wouldn’t spend the New Year together. Why are you staying at my house?" Ji Yunhuan looked at him in confusion. He clearly agreed that he was just obsessed with her body, right?

He clearly said he wouldn’t love such a heartless woman as her!

But now, what did his actions an?

Was it to make her feel pressured?

The better he treated her, the more she felt his unyielding affection. It made her want to escape even more. She couldn’t wait to marry soone else.

"I like your ho. Waiting for you here makes very happy. This is my own business, it has nothing to do with you," he said calmly.

Ji Yunhuan felt speechless, "You are in my house, and you tell it has nothing to do with ?"

"No problem, I will pay rent."

"You know that’s not what I ant." She also couldn’t understand why talking to him was so exhausting.

Qi Cheng looked at her eyes, filled with emotions, and suddenly laughed.

"What are you laughing at?"

"Because I spent the holidays alone and you didn’t co back, do you feel guilty?" Qi Cheng looked down at her, as if he could see through her thoughts, "Are you feeling bad inside, hating yourself for not coming back? Should you have returned to spend the holidays with ? Is that what you think deep down?"

He spoke with almost absolute certainty.

"I did not." Ji Yunhuan angrily denied, "I would never feel guilty because of you!"

"Is admitting you like that hard? You are the only woman in this world who moved my heart, and I am also the man you loved. It is natural for you to fall in love with again. Even for the sake of the child, admitting it wouldn’t be so shaful." He looked into her eyes, his gaze filled with anticipation.

When she left, he knew it would take a long ti for her to return to his side, so he would wait, very patiently.

Ji Yunhuan found his words laughable, "Qi Cheng, I will not fall in love with you again."

"You are lying. Your eyes tell you are a complete liar. Fool, why deceive yourself? If you are willing to co back to , I can overlook what happened two years ago. I have always been waiting for you, don’t you feel it?" During these days, he had never expressed his true feelings.

Only now was he speaking his sincere words.

What he said before, about forgetting her, about not loving her, was just to save face after being hurt by her.

In his mind, there was only one answer - her.

No one else mattered to him the way she did.

His love was solely for her.

Ji Yunhuan looked at him in surprise, "Qi Cheng, you know it’s impossible for us."

"As long as you are willing, it is possible. You didn’t care about the child before, but now you do. As long as you agree to be with , I will take you to see the child. Is that not acceptable?"

He knew she needed an excuse to accept him.

So he provided her with an excuse.

"Are you not taking to see the child because of this?" She looked into his eyes.

"If you think so, then yes." He just had unavoidable difficulties he couldn’t tell her about.

Unless she agreed to be with him, he would never let her see the child.
