Elder brother’s eyes darkened; that day was indeed the most out of control he had ever been. "But you know your sister-in-law’s personality. She never even considers the children’s stance. If it hadn’t been for Leilei that day..."

"She’s the one you chose. You should take responsibility for her. If she doesn’t do well, you can certainly scold her."

"You know I don’t want to do useless things." Sister-in-law had always been very stubborn, and he wasn’t interested in changing a woman’s personality.

"For Leilei and the others, you have no choice but to do so now. Sister-in-law isn’t unreasonable; you’re just too impatient!" Qi Cheng said seriously.

"I know, so I’ll send Ye away."

Ji Yunhuan hid outside the door, listening to their conversation.

She had originally gone to see Chenchen but ended up in the garden when she received a call from her second sister-in-law, who confird that her elder brother was there and insisted she co to listen to what he and Qi Cheng were talking about.

She had no choice but to co over.

Judging by her elder brother’s manner, had he decided to choose his sister-in-law?

Elder brother was silent for a while and then asked Qi Cheng, "These past few days must have caused you quite so trouble, right?"

"Not really. Everyone sees as your accomplice. The whole family hates . Ji Yunhuan even argued with about it. Do you think it’s been easy for ?" Qi Cheng started to complain. He only complained like this in front of his elder brother.

Elder brother said, "Thank you for your hard work."

"As long as you know it’s been hard for . In the future, I don’t want to see you with that Ye woman again."

Ji Yunhuan listened intently, completely unaware of the person who had appeared behind her.

"Are you... eavesdropping?"

Her heart skipped a beat. She turned around and t Bai Liyan’s clear gaze.

He placed his hand in his pocket and leisurely looked at her.

"I wasn’t eavesdropping," she denied. She rarely did such things and didn’t expect Bai Liyan to appear suddenly. She felt utterly embarrassed.

Bai Liyan smirked, "You’re quite good at lying."

Just like that ti, she had hurt Qi Cheng but managed to act like she hadn’t.

Ji Yunhuan raised her eyebrows helplessly. "Fine, if you insist on saying so, I’ll take the bla."

Bai Liyan looked at her in surprise. "So you have this lively side to you?"

Ji Yunhuan glanced at him and quickly left.

Staying there, if her elder brother found out later, she truly wouldn’t be able to explain her way out.

Bai Liyan followed behind her, "What did you hear? Tell ?"

"I didn’t hear anything." She had only heard Qi Cheng tell her elder brother to treat her sister-in-law well.

Bai Liyan looked at her, eyes slightly relieved. He was actually very worried that she would hear sothing about the Ji Family’s past from her elder brother.

"Did you co today to see Chenchen?" The two walked toward the neighboring house.

Bai Liyan nodded. "To do a checkup for him."

Just as they entered Chenchen’s place, a servant led Ye Suya out from the back yard.

When Chenchen’s checkup was finished, elder brother had already taken Ye Suya and left.

Bai Liyan went to the main building with Ji Yunhuan.

Qi Cheng was sitting there, staring blankly at a certain spot.

When he heard them co in, he snapped back to reality.

"How’s Chenchen?"

Bai Liyan spoke, "His body is okay, but that’s the best it can be."

Ji Yunhuan understood what he ant. Chenchen’s condition was considered the best in this period because of Su Zi’s presence. His situation was astonishingly stable.

But, that was the best his body could achieve.

Bai Liyan looked at Ji Yunhuan, "I know what you’re thinking. But you have to admit, Su Zi is really good to Chenchen."

Although just an eighteen-year-old girl, she showed a patience and ticulousness in caring for Chenchen that even made Ji Yunhuan feel inadequate.

Maybe, she should really believe that Su Zi was genuinely good to Chenchen.

"Anything going on?" Qi Cheng asked Bai Liyan seeing Ji Yunhuan remained silent.

"Can’t I co in and sit if there’s nothing?"

"If you were really free, you wouldn’t co in." The relationship between the two hadn’t been great lately, so even when Bai Liyan occasionally visited Chenchen, he didn’t bother with Qi Cheng.

Since he had been found out, Bai Liyan didn’t hide it either. "Su Zi’s parents are coming over."

Qi Cheng was a bit surprised. "Really?"

"They’re worried about Su Zi staying here, so they’re coming to see. Isn’t it almost the New Year?" Although the Su Family now lived abroad, they were originally from here. "Since Su Zi is living with you, you should host them."

"When are they coming?"

"Tomorrow," Bai Liyan said.

"Su Zi’s parents are coming, and you’re not happy?" That night, lying in bed, Ji Yunhuan noticed Qi Cheng’s expression was different from usual. She felt he was worried.

He leaned back on his pillow, staring at the ceiling. "Su Zi’s parents probably know about you. If they see you, I’m worried..."

"Worried about what?"

"You were the person Su Molang liked when he was alive. In their eyes, you’re Su Molang’s lingering mory in this world. If you appear before them, they will naturally think of Su Molang. But now, you are my wife." Saying this, he gripped her hand tightly. "You’re mine. I don’t want others to look at you with different eyes."

"What’s wrong with that? Isn’t it normal?" Ji Yunhuan thought it was no big deal. "I’m not worried. Anyway, I don’t owe Su Molang anything."

But looking at Qi Cheng, knowing his standpoint, she knew he and Su Molang had always been close. "Are you afraid Su Zi’s parents will dislike you because of this?"

Qi Cheng said, "When you’re by my side, I’m not worried about any of this."

"Then it’s settled. Let’s sleep!" Ji Yunhuan smiled, lowered her pillow a bit, and closed her eyes.

Qi Cheng looked at her sleeping face, his eyes filled with deep affection. He reached out and pulled her into his arms.

Early the next morning, the two went to the Qi Family. After their elder brother ca back, he sent Ye Suya away. He didn’t rush to work but stayed at ho to accompany Leilei.

However, sister-in-law wasn’t ho.

Ji Yunhuan had discussed her elder brother’s thoughts with her second sister-in-law yesterday. Elder brother should genuinely want to reconcile with sister-in-law, but for so reason, second sister-in-law said they still had a fight last night.

Ji Yunhuan played with Leilei, watching her. "Did your parents argue last night?"

Leilei nodded. "Yeah."

"Why?"

Leilei frowned, not wanting to ntion it. But seeing Ji Yunhuan’s persistent gaze, she still said, "Because Dad got hurt. Mom was angry, saying it was because of that woman..."

Originally, when elder brother ca back yesterday, sister-in-law, having heard news from Ji Yunhuan, was quite nice to elder brother.

She had also figured it out. Since elder brother decided to give up on Ye Suya, she didn’t want to argue with him anymore. To be fair, between them, hadn’t she always been the one compromising?

As long as elder brother wanted to co back, she was always giving him chances.
