"Why do you all look so surprised to see ? Didn’t you ask for to be called in for questioning?" Tristan asked the elders as Cole helped him to sit down on a vacant chair.

Cole knew his duty was just to remain silent and act invisible, and that is exactly what he did, as he found a corner to stand.

Kane looked at his colleagues and said, "Forgive for not telling you all about Tristan’s presence, but he has co to with the willingness to answer our questions, and that is why I called for an ergency eting, but it seems Noelle is missing."

Rudolph frowned at Tristan, who had sat down as if he was a king, and said, "You should have so respect, Tristan. How dare you sit in our presence?"

"This is the height of it. If I knew the child that was in your mother’s womb was going to beco so defiant, then I would have supported her abortion." Tyrell shouted.

Tristan’s aura changed as he coldly said, "Think before you speak."

Tyrell felt chills at Tristan’s voice and imdiately looked away.

Celphias sighed and said, "We know you destroyed evidence that could have led us to solve the Ferals case. Could it be you are working for them?"

"Who told you this? Noelle? Why do you trust a witch so much?"

"Noelle is not just a witch. It was with her that a peaceful relationship between the werewolves and witches was ford." Rudolph said.

"Noelle is a traitor."

"Your plan of trying to distract us from your possible cri is not going to work. If it is proven that you are indeed working with the ferals, then you will be executed for treason." Tyrell said.

"Keep your threats to yourself. I have tolerated years of your nonsense, so let make sothing clear to you today: you may be an Elder and an authority to the other werewolves, but you are not an authority to ."

"Tristan!" Kane shouted.

Tristan took off his dark glasses, and they all saw his brown eyes as he said, "You all standing here were appointed by Kane to take on the Elder position, and the reason is because you have shown that you can’t be ruled by your emotions. You were once Alphas of remarkable packs and once upon a ti were deed as the strongest, but unfortunately, you are not the smartest."

"How dare you?"

"The Ferals are not just untad wolves. They are all a product of experint and mind magic. And as for the hideout, nothing relevant was found."

"But yet, you burnt it down." Celphias said.

Tristan sighed and refused to answer; instead, he said, "Milton wasn’t killed by a feral; he was killed by a witch, and do not tell you suddenly think that werewolves have the ability to drain one’s blood. Noelle’s vision was a distraction for the real person who had killed Milton."

"But why will Noelle have a hand in Milton’s death?"

"That I do not know, but Noelle’s misleading is a fact that her vision can no longer be trusted, and a witch whose visions are inaccurate cannot be an Elder."

"What are you saying, Tristan?" Rudolph asked with a frown.

"Noelle should be dismissed from her position." Tristan said coldly.

"You do not have the right to say this." Celphias said angrily.

"Kane? What do you think of my suggestion?" Tristan asked.

Kane cleared his throat and said, "I think you are right."

"Elder Cane!" Tyrell shouted.

"Didn’t you find it strange that she was eager to convince us that it was a feral who killed Milton? It was almost as if she was trying to hide sothing."

Tristan put back his glasses and stood up as he said, "I’m amazed how you all thought I was working with the Ferals; your little trust in made feel hurt."

Tyrell rolled his eyes, and as if rembering sothing, he frowned as he returned his gaze back to Tristan and asked, "The woman you got married to, who is she?"

Tristan remained silent for a while before he said, "A nobody. Definitely one you can’t control. Any more questions?"

Tyrell scoffed and muttered, ’As if he actually answered any of our questions."

Tristan heard his remark and said, "Cole, let us take out leave."

Cole ca out from the corner he had hidden himself in and led Tristan out.

After Tristan left, Celphias said, "I feel like we are rely pawns to him. That we are nothing but his puppets."

Kane turned and said, "That is because we are. Due to the suspicion we have on Noelle, her activities will be monitored, but in the anti, she is suspended from her position, and if valid evidence is found against her, she shall be killed for betraying and killing one of our own."

"What! You will murder her based on the words of a blind man. He didn’t even give us a proper answer on why he got the hideout burnt down, and yet we are listening to his nonsense."

"You are listening to !" Kane shouted. He looked at them all and said, "My decision is final."

...

After spending so ti with her grandmother, Aria ca out of the health center but didn’t see Nyla. She went to the boy whose na was Slade and asked, "Where is Nyla?"

Slade shrugged and said, "I have no idea. She told she wanted to say hello to your grandmother; didn’t you co to et her?"

Huh? Nyla didn’t enter her grandmother’s ward, so... Could it be that she heard lissa and her talking?

"Is everything alright?" Slade asked as he saw a terrifying look in Aria’s eyes.

Before Aria could reply, she felt a vibration in her pocket and saw that it was a ssage from Nyla.

’I’m at the training ground. You can ask Slade to take you there.’

Aria looked at Slade and asked, "Can you take to the training ground?"

"The training ground? Why does Luna want to go there? Slade asked himself, but despite his questions, he still nodded.

He groaned in pain as he stood up and said, "Let’s go."

"Thank you."

When they arrived at the training ground, Aria was surprised to see Lia in hand combat with the girl that had spoken rudely to her, and right before her eyes, she saw as Lia kicked the girl’s leg, making her fall down to the ground.

Lia smirked and said, "Good duel, Teira." She stretched out her hand for Teira to hold on to and get up.

"Is Lia a warrior?" Aria asked Slade in a soft whisper.

"No, but she likes acting like the Luna, and to be honest, there was a ti we all thought that she was going to be our Luna, but..." Slade’s words were interrupted by Nyla, who shouted.

"Aria!"

Aria could feel all eyes on her as Nyla shouted her na, and unlike yesterday, she felt uncomfortable.

Lia’s gaze moved to Aria’s direction, and a dark chuckle left her lips as she gave a mocking bow. "Luna." She raised her head up and said, "A little birdie told that our Luna does not have a wolf."

Aria’s heart sank the mont she heard those words, and her gaze moved to Nyla, who quickly looked away.

That ans Nyla heard her conversation with lissa and ran to Lia, but why?
