"Agh!" Brenda let out a low grunt, as a little blood bled from the cut.
Luckily for her, the sword didn’t pierce as deep as it was supposed to, due to the resistance from the fla coating on her shoulder.
"Fla dash!" She shouted, while holding in the pain from the wounds around her body.
Fwoosh!
Bright red flas swiftly lit around her legs, mixing with the blue lightning sparks and enhancing her speed even further.
Using her increased agility, Brenda quickly dashed to the side, in a bid to distance herself from Nathan.
As she ran, she bent her body slightly to the side, with her hands stretched towards the combat mage.
Without wasting any ti, she hurriedly channeled her elental mana, before casting another spell.
Casting the spell was a little bit difficult for her, as she still had "Lightning Dashl and "Fla Dash" active, using them to enhance her speed.
Nonetheless, she still managed to cast the spell successfully, without taking down the forr two. "Fla Missiles!" She shouted.
Fwoosh!!!
A large fire missile suddenly ford above her, its tip pointed downwards at Nathan.
A wry smile appeared on Nathan’s face at the sight of the large fla projectile, and he hurriedly pumped mana into his sword.
Swoosh!!
The large missile abruptly shot towards him, propelling itself through the air with a massive blast of fire.
A thin layer of dim, yellow mana swiftly appeared at the bottom of Nathan’s sword, swirling upward until it coated the whole sword like a fla.
Boosting his strength with more mana, Nathan swung his sword towards the incoming missile.
Bang!
Fwoosh!!
His blade struck the missile right at the middle, and with a sharp twist of the sword, Nathan deflected the attack to the side.
Swoosh!!
Boom!!
The large projectile veered to the side, crashing into the ground behind him, and erupting in a powerful explosion of fire.
The flas surged upward in a mushroom-like shape, filling the air with thick, black smoke.
’He deflected that?!’ Brenda thought, with her eyes widened slightly in shock. While she wasn’t expecting that attack to knock him out, she still expected it to at least stall him for a little more ti.
The next spell she wanted to cast was one that took quite so ti before activating, and the purpose of that missile was to stall Nathan until she finally casted the spell.
’This is getting annoying.’ She thought, clasping her hands together in preparation to cast another spell.
’Not on my watch!’ Nathan thought, with a slight smirk on his face.
Whoosh!
Swirling the mana flowing around his blade, he swiftly swung his blade downwards, unleashing a powerful crescent-shaped aura blade towards the Elentalist.
Swoosh!
Seeing the crescent-shaped blades rapidly closing in on her, Brenda gnashed her teeth against each other in frustration.
Just as the blade was about to hit her, she quickly leapt to the side, causing the blade to fly past her instead.
Fortunately, her two speed enhancent spells were still active, giving enough speed to barely escape the attack.
"Agh!" She grunted, suddenly feeling a sharp pain at her side. Her hand instinctively went to the cut, clutching it lightly.
This was the main reason she didn’t want this fight to drag on any further. The wound inflicted on her by Nathan was still bleeding, and even the slightest movents from her would make it throb with pain.
Stretching her hands to the side, she rapidly harnessed her mana, while also cancelling the two speed-enchantnt spells previously activated. "Blessing of Fire." She muttered.
Vwumm!!
Bright red flas suddenly lit up around her chest, rapidly trailing across every part of her body.
Fiery lines speedily traced from her chest to her arms, connecting into a blazing circle of flas at the centre of her palms.
The fla lines ran through her body like a set of fire runes, leaving only her head untouched.
’An enhancent spell?’ Nathan’s brows furrowed slightly. Since he wasn’t sure about the effect of this new spell she casted, he kept his distance from her, making sure to keep his guard up.
He wasn’t the only one shocked though, gasps of shock and awe echoes from the audience, as they were still amazed by her new transformation.
Although the fire lines around her body made her look quite strange, they were all excited to see what this new spell could do.
Suddenly, Brenda’s gaze turned to him, and her lips curled into a smug smirk.
’I was planning to keep this spell as a trump card for later, but i think now’s the best ti to use it.’ She thought, her eyes narrowing slightly.
The flas from the spell completely cauterised her wounds, stopping the bleeding.
Although, the injury still stung with pain, it was bearable.
Just as the na implied, "Blessing of Fire" was a spell that mainly enhanced her fire elental abilities.
With the utilisation of this spell, all her fire spells would beco over two tis stronger!
That wasn’t all, it also boosted her physical abilities, especially her speed, making her almost three tis faster than normal.
With this spell active, she wouldn’t need any other speed enhancent spell, and Nathan’s speed wouldn’t pose too much of a problem anymore.
However, the spell had one downside, and that was its insane consumption of mana.
With her current mana pool, she could only maintain this form for a few minutes at most, and after that, she would run out of mana.
’Those few minutes should be enough, to finish him off!’ She thought, hurriedly stretching her hands towards the combat mage.
Nathan’s eyes narrowed slightly, seeing the two large blazing circles in her palm pointed at him.
He held his sword tightly, his sword aura burning around the blade in readiness.
Boom!!
"Fire Blast!" Brenda shouted, and two large blasts of fire imdiately bursted out from the circles on her palm, flying straight at Nathan with insane speed.
Compared to her forr attacks, the firepower contained within this one was a lot more!
Rather than charge straight at the attacks, Nathan swiftly dashed to the side, boosting his speed by channeling mana into his legs.
Fwoosh!!
Boom!!
The fire blasts flew past him, causing a mighty explosion that sent flas soaring into the air.
Swinging the blade in his hands, he unleashed a series of swift slashes towards Brenda, sending five crescent mana blades flying at her.
Swoosh!!!
Whoosh!!
The blades whizzed through the air, rapidly closing in on her.
However, the fire Elentalist stretched her hand forward again, before casting another spell.
Fwoosh!!
"Hands of Fire!" From her palms, a pair of large fire hands suddenly flew forward, their palms charging straight at Nathan.
The mana blades collided with the hands mid air, however, they were effortlessly consud by the powerful flas burning within them.
The first hand swiftly closed in on Nathan with a powerful slam from above, however, he leapt backwards at the last second, causing it to smash into the ground instead.
While he was still in the air, the second hand suddenly flew towards him with a clenched fist, ready to punch him away.
’This sure is annoying.’ Nathan mumbled, his eyes narrowing slightly as he stared at the large fist of fire closing in on him.
Harnessing mana into his hands, Nathan swiftly swung his sword downwards, slicing the fiery fist into two.
However, the hand joined back together almost imdiately, as if it was never even cut.
’That spell sure is powerful, but I’m sure she can’t keep it up for long,’ Nathan thought with a slight smirk, as he moved to the side, evading the large hand which crashed into the ground.
He quickly swung his sword towards the blazing arm, slashing it nurous tis within re seconds.
The large fire hand was sliced up into chunks of fla, but in a split second, the cut-off parts joined back together and the arm beca whole again.
The sa scene repeated itself ti and ti again, with the giants hand attacking Nathan, and him simply cutting them up into pieces.
’Damn it!’ Brenda thought, beads of sweat rolling down her face.
Although not much ti had passed, a large chunk of her mana had already been consud by the spell.
To make things words, the combat mage kept slicing up her fire hands into pieces, making them consu almost twice more mana than they were supposed to.
The more they regenerated themselves, the faster her mana drained away. If things continued like this, she could see herself losing consciousness from exhaustion in a few minutes.
Clenching her fists tightly, she hurriedly casted another spell, one she hoped would turn the tide around. "Rocket Blast!" She shouted.
Fwoosh!
The two fiery arms abruptly disconnected from her hands, rapidly breaking apart and transforming into four blazing rockets.
Boom!
All four rockets imdiately shot towards Nathan, closing in on him within a split second.
Boom!!
Due to how close the arms originally were to him, he could barely react as the rockets slamd against him, instantly going off in a huge explosion.
Boom!!
Flas swiftly rose up to the air in a mushroom-like shape, completely engulfing Nathan within the explosion.
