Pan ijia placed the bamboo basket down and said, "Father, my husband asked to send over so at and vegetables for you. He said that you were coughing lately, so he picked so pears for you from the mountain."

Hearing this, Father Li said with a sigh, "The mountains are dangerous. It's better not to go there too often."

"Father, don't worry. My second brother knows what he is doing," Li Chenze assured his father.

Just after he finished his words, Zhang Dongi walked out from the kitchen while holding her big belly. Her pregnancy was already entering the 35th week. While her belly was not as big as Wang Muxiao's, she was slim, so it made her belly look bigger than usual.

"Second sister-in-law, you are here. Have you eaten?" she asked.

Pan ijia was worried that she would fall and quickly went to support her. Holding her arm, she said, "Eldest sister-in-law, I have eaten."

After she helped her sister-in-law sit down, she said, "Eldest sister-in-law, your pregnancy has already entered the last trister. You should be more careful."

Zhang Dongi chuckled and said, "I know."

After a mont of pause, she asked, "Second sister-in-law, are you sending things for Father again?"

Pan ijia sat on the low stool beside her and replied with a nod, "My husband said that the price of food has increased again. Now, even if we have money and coupons, we might not be able to buy grains or at. So, my husband bought so for Father."

Hearing this, Zhang Dongi let out a sigh and said, "This year is a bad year. I don't know if the situation will get better next year."

Recalling the letter she received from her mother, Pan ijia said, "My mother sent a letter asking if I can send so grains over. The situation in the capital is worse than ours. In the past month, there were several groups of people trying to rob the granary."

Zhang Dongi was surprised by this news and asked, "Is the situation that bad?"

Pan ijia nodded and replied, "My mother said it took her several days of lining up just to buy two kilograms of flour. Now, the governnt has already started rationing purchases, and the supplies are only restocked once every ten days."

After she said this, Father Li spoke up, "Second daughter-in-law, take so sausage and pickled vegetables back with you later. When you send grains to your parents, send those over as well."

Pan ijia didn't refuse and said, "Thank you, Father."

Li Chenze noticed his wife's worries and said, "Wife, don't worry. Our family harvested plenty of grains from the mountain. It's enough to last us for at least two years."

"Eldest, you should go visit your parents-in-law and see how they're doing. Bring so grains and at too," Father Li reminded him.

When he heard this, Li Chenze nodded and said, "Father, I will visit them tomorrow."

Zhang Dongi was moved by her father-in-law's words. Ever since she married into the Li family, they had always treated her well and often encouraged her to help out her maternal family.

Rubbing her sore limbs, she said, "Thank you, Father."

Father Li wiped the sweat on his forehead and replied, "What are you thanking for? They are your parents. As their daughter, it's only right for you to be filial."

Zhang Dongi nodded and changed the topic. While she casually chatted with Pan ijia, Pan Chiyan finally arrived in the county town.

Without even resting, he drove straight to the small town near Xie Village. After parking the car, he went to the black market with his face hidden beneath a mask and hat.

After walking for a while, he knocked on the door of a dilapidated house. Not long after, the door opened, and Bajie appeared behind it.

Seeing him, Bajie was surprised and said, "Brother Pan, why are you here?"

"Is Houzi here?" Pan Chiyan asked.

"Brother Houzi is inside. Please co in," Bajie said as he stepped aside to let him in.

After locking the door, Bajie led him to the inner room. The mont he entered, Pan Chiyan was stunned to see the man sitting across from his cousin.

"Brother-in-law, what are you doing here?" he asked.

Li Lingyun smiled at him and replied, "Eldest Brother, you are finally here."

Pan Chiyan looked at his cousin and brother-in-law in confusion. After sitting down, he asked, "What's going on here?"

Houzi poured a cup of water for him and said, "It's just as you see. Your brother-in-law is here to talk business with ."

Raising his eyebrows, Pan Chiyan asked, "Business? What kind of business?"

Li Lingyun pushed the cup closer and said, "Eldest Brother, drink so water first."

Though curious, Pan Chiyan remained calm after the initial shock. He drank the water before saying, "Now you can explain. What's going on? What business are you talking about?"

Knowing his cousin's personality, Houzi didn't keep him in suspense and explained, "Cousin, you know I sell at in addition to grains, right?"

Pan Chiyan nodded and replied, "Of course."

"Well, Boss Ling is my supplier," Houzi said, dropping the bomb.

The mont Pan Chiyan heard this, he looked at them with wide eyes. It took him a mont to process the words before he said, "You an Jiajia's husband is the one supplying at to your store?"

"Eldest Brother, I'm sorry for hiding this from you," Li Lingyun said.

"Did Jiajia know about this?" Pan Chiyan asked.

Li Lingyun nodded and replied, "After we confirm our relationship, I told Jiajia everything."

This ti, Pan Chiyan went silent for a long while as he stared at Li Lingyun. He had always thought his brother-in-law was just an honest villager, a hardworking farr. Unexpectedly, he was a cunning fox with the courage of a tiger.

After a mont of silence, he turned to his cousin and said, "Since it's my Brother-in-law who sells at to you, then the grain's supplier must be soone I know too, right?"
