After Feng Chen left, Yang ngyao cried in the bedroom while Feng Heng stayed in the living room hugging his doll while sobbing.

Standing outside the door, the man heard the sounds of crying from within, and his eyes darkened. He raised his hand and knocked on the door.

Hearing the knocks, Yang ngyao quickly wiped away her tears. Even though she and her husband often argued, she didn't want others to know her marriage was in disharmony.

As she walked to the door, she asked hoarsely, "Who is it?"

"Yaoyao, it's , Bocheng."

Hearing that it was her maternal cousin, Yang ngyao opened the door. Looking at him, she asked, "Cousin, what brings you here?"

Seeing her swollen eyes, Cai Bocheng instinctively raised his hand to wipe away her tears. But before he could touch her, Yang ngyao turned her head, avoiding his touch.

Clenching his fist, he lowered his hand and said, "I just ca back from the city and brought gifts for you and Xiao Heng."

Noticing the large bag he carried, Yang ngyao stepped aside and invited him in, "Cousin, please co in."

After Cai Bocheng entered the house, he glanced around and asked, "Where is your husband?"

"He still has work to do and won't be coming back tonight. Cousin, have a seat. I will get you so tea," Yang ngyao replied casually.

Having grown up together, she was comfortable letting him in, even when her husband wasn't around.

While she went to the kitchen, Cai Bocheng walked over to the couch. He placed the bag on the small table and crouched in front of Feng Heng. Seeing the boy's teary eyes, his expression darkened.

Suppressing the anger in his heart, he asked, "Xiao Heng, what's wrong? Did your father scold you again?"

Shaking his head, Feng Heng lowered his gaze and whispered, "Uncle, my father doesn't want anymore."

"What do you an by that? How can your father not want you?" Cai Bocheng asked.

Raising his head, Feng Heng replied, "I heard my father say that I'm not his son. Uncle, if I'm not my father's son, then who is my father?"

The mont Cai Bocheng heard this, a flicker of surprise flashed in his eyes before he quickly masked it. He didn't know why Feng Chen suddenly said such a thing, but he was certain he hadn't left any traces behind. No one should know the truth besides himself.

He opened his mouth to respond, but before he could say a word, Yang ngyao returned with two cups of tea.

Placing the cups on the table, she said, "Cousin, don't listen to Ah Heng. My husband was just angry when he said that. Angry words don't an anything."

Cai Bocheng stood up and looked at her, "Is that so?"

eting her cousin's gaze, Yang ngyao chuckled and sat beside her son. For so reason, being stared at by him made her uncomfortable.

"Of course. My husband is my first and only man. There is no need to doubt Ah Heng's parentage," she said softly.

Cai Bocheng said nothing when he heard her words and sat across from her. He pushed the bag toward her and said, "This ti, I went to the northern city. See if you like these."

Relieved that he didn't press the issue, Yang ngyao opened the bag. When she saw the gifts inside, she was stunned.

"Cousin, these must have cost you a lot," she said.

"I bought them from an acquaintance, so they were cheaper. Do you like them?" Cai Bocheng asked.

Taking out a beautiful dress, Yang ngyao's face finally lit up with a smile and she said, "Cousin, I love it!"

Seeing her smile, Cai Bocheng's cold gaze softened as he replied, "As long as you like it, that's all that matters."

Then, he pulled out a stuffed bear from the bag and handed it to Feng Heng while saying, "Xiao Heng, this is for you."

Though he was a boy, Feng Heng loved stuffed dolls. As long as he had one to hold, he felt safe and less afraid. He had always wanted more, but his mother told him dolls were expensive and hard to find. His only doll was a gift from his uncle on his first birthday.

Now, he finally had a new one—softer and cuter than his old one. Hugging it tightly, he smiled at his uncle and said, "Thank you, Uncle!"

After they finished looking at the gifts, Yang ngyao asked, "Cousin, I heard from my mother that your blind date failed again."

Sipping his tea, Cai Bocheng leaned back on the couch without responding.

Seeing his indifferent attitude, Yang ngyao sighed and added, "Cousin, you are already 31. You should find soone and start a family."

"I have you and Xiao Heng. That's enough for ."

Hearing this, Yang ngyao frowned and tried to persuade him, "Cousin, even though we are family, we are only distant relatives."

"When you grow old, you will long for your own children and soone to grow old with. We can't stay with you forever. One day, we might lose contact and go our separate ways."

Cai Bocheng's eyes darkened the mont he heard her words. He set his cup down and asked, "Yaoyao, why are you so sure we will go our separate ways?"

She blinked, confused by his question. After a mont, she said, "Cousin, I have a husband. I will follow him wherever he goes. There is no guarantee I will always be near you. I would feel at ease knowing you have soone to take care of you."

Looking into her eyes, Cai Bocheng asked, "Yaoyao, do you really want to marry another woman?"

Not understanding his aning, Yang ngyao nodded firmly and replied, "Of course! You are my brother. I care about you and want to see you happy."

Cai Bocheng let out a chuckle and the gloominess in his eyes disappeared after he heard her words. He nodded and said, "I see."
