Feeling the pain from his grip, Yang ngyao glared at her husband and shouted, "I said that bitch, Ye Xinyue, already married another man! I saw her go into a hotel with a man in town!"
As soon as she finished her words, she saw her husband freeze in place, stunned by her words.
Feng Chen's face turned pale from shock. He let go of her shoulders and stumbled a few steps backward.
Leaning against the wall, he mumbled in a daze, "Impossible. That must be a lie. Ah Yue said she would wait for … We made a promise…"
Hearing this, Yang ngyao stood up and scread, "Feng Chen!! It has been so many years, and you are still thinking about that bitch?!"
"Do you think if you divorce , she would co back to you? You are dreaming! What makes you think that soone as proud as her would want a man who betrayed her?!"
By the end of her words, she was sobbing uncontrollably. Looking at her husband, she asked, "Feng Chen, after all these years… have you ever loved ?"
When Feng Chen heard her words, he raised his head and looked at her. After a mont, he burst into laughter, tears streaming down his face.
Covering his face with his hands, he murmured to himself, "Feng Chen, ah, Feng Chen… you are truly foolish. What promise? What love? Everything was just a lie. She didn't want you anymore!"
Taking a deep breath, he straightened his back and looked at the hysterical woman before him.
His gaze turned cold as he said, "Yang ngyao, not only have I never loved you, but I also hate you. Just the sight of you disgusts . If your family hadn't used my family to threaten , do you think I would have willingly stayed here with you?"
Hearing his words, Yang ngyao was stunned. It took her a while before she stamred, "Husband… you are lying, right? You said you like ."
She took several steps toward him and reached out to grab his hand. But before she could touch him, Feng Chen swung his arm and knocked her hand away.
Feeling the sting, Yang ngyao clenched her fists and cried, "Husband, I'm your wife, the mother of your son! How can you do this to ?!"
"Are you sure your son is mine?" Feng Chen asked coldly.
The mont she heard his words, she felt as if she had been struck by lightning. She stared at him in shock and asked in disbelief, "Husband… What do you an by that? If Ah Heng isn't your son, then whose son is he?"
Feng Chen looked at her but said nothing. He hadn't yet found the evidence he needed to take down the entire Yang family, so he couldn't tear off the last veil between them just yet.
Seeing his silence, Yang ngyao felt a dark cloud looming over her, a storm brewing in the distance. Soone must have planted doubts in her husband's mind. But besides him, she had never been with another man.
Her husband must have said those hurtful things because he was angry with her. He doesn't hate her, he still loves her!
"Husband, did soone say sothing to you? I swear, you are the only man in my life. It's impossible for Ah Heng not to be your son. You must believe ," she pleaded, her voice trembling.
Closing his eyes, Feng Chen clenched his fists, trying to suppress his emotions.
After a long mont, he exhaled and said, "I have a lot of work to do, so I won't be coming back tonight. You should calm down and stop talking nonsense. We have been married for many years now—it's ti for you to let go of your baseless suspicions."
After he finished his words, he turned and left. When he opened the door, he saw Feng Heng sitting on the couch in the living room, clutching his doll. The boy looked up at him with teary eyes and called softly, "Father."
Feng Chen had never felt any real affection for this boy, and now that he doubted his parentage, whatever patience he had for him was gone. Even though he knew the child was innocent, his heart rejected him—just because he was Yang ngyao's son.
He stared at him for a mont, then walked away without looking back. As he shut the door, he heard the boy burst into tears.
But at that mont, he felt no guilt. Instead, his thoughts drifted to Feng Lin.

Back then, he had no idea how much his son had suffered without his parents. Just recalling how thin and frail his child was compared to Feng Heng made his chest tighten with pain.
All these years, he had failed as a father and as a husband. Since his wife had found another man, he should let go.
But just imagining her loving soone else made it hard for him to breathe. Clutching his painful chest, tears rolled down his cheeks.
Kneeling on the ground, he gasped for air and sobbed, "Ah Yue… Ah Yue…"
He kept calling her na. But she would never answer him again. She no longer belongs to him—her love no longer belongs to him.
He cried for a long ti before he cald down. Wiping the tears from his eyes and cheeks, he stood up, and staggered out of the building.
He must find a chance to et his wife and that man. He can't let go without asking. Even if it was just a simple explanation that she no longer loved him, he had to hear it with his own ears.
After making up his mind, he quickened his pace and went to find his boss to rest for a few days.
Shortly after he left, a man in his thirties ca out from behind the wall and took a look at the building. After hesitating for a mont, he walked towards the building.
