"Let go of right now, Sabe!" Gabe yelled, his voice cracking as he struggled beneath Sabe’s weight. He pushed at Sabe’s shoulders with trembling hands, but it was pointless. He couldn’t make use of his Alpha strength, not when he’d already taken a suppressant to conceal it.

"There’s no point playing hard to get," Sabe growled, his breath hot and disgusting against Gabe’s ear. "Since you want it, then you’ll get it." His voice rose with manic anger as he yanked at Gabe’s shirt and finally tore it open in one violent rip. Buttons scattered across the bed and floor.

Fear surged through Gabe’s veins, icy and blinding.

"I’m going to scream, Sabe! I swear I will! Everyone will know you’re trying to rape your partner!" Gabe shouted, desperation lacing every word.

Sabe’s answer was a slap so hard it jolted Gabe sideways. Pain exploded along his cheekbone and the taste of blood filled his mouth.

"Scream?" Sabe hissed with a twisted smirk. "Then go ahead and scream, Gabe. I love it when you scream afterall." His voice dripped with mockery as he shoved Gabe flat against the bed. "You’ll attract the nurses and doctors, sure. The dia isn’t here yet as it’s too early. But trust ... they’ll think you’re screaming because of my dick in your ass."

Gabe’s stomach clenched in horror.

"I’ll even let them peep," Sabe continued, unbuttoning his own trousers with one hand while pinning Gabe down with the other. "Let them see how I fuck your brains out despite my injuries. They’ll praise for performing my marital duties like a responsible Alpha. As for your injuries..." His eyes glead. "I’ll heal them before they even get here."

"You bastard!" Gabe shouted, only to have the words stolen from him as Sabe crushed their mouths together. The kiss was desperate and violent....nothing but force. Gabe gagged, trying to turn his head away, but Sabe’s grip was unrelenting. Fabric tore again as Sabe ripped Gabe’s trousers, then his underwear, exposing him helplessly.

Where the fuck is Alex?! Gabe scread inwardly, panic clawing up his throat. Did he really leave to face the consequences of my actions?

Sabe’s hand slid down again, fumbling at his unbuttoned trousers, ready to force himself in.

Or maybe the security guards stopped him, Gabe thought, dread tightening his chest. If so... then I’ll have to take matters into my own hands. He steadied his shaking hand, preparing to knock Sabe off with the little strength he had left....

Bang!

The ward door burst open so violently that it slamd against the wall. Alex stord inside, his expression carved from pure fury. Without hesitating even a heartbeat, he grabbed Sabe by the collar and ripped him off Gabe with an inhuman force.

I knew sothing like this was going to happen. Alex thought inwardly.

"What the fuck are you doing here, you bastard?!" Sabe snarled, but he didn’t get another word out.

Alex’s fist collided with his face in a brutal, bone-snapping punch.

Sabe’s head snapped back. His body went limp instantly. He crumpled to the floor like a discarded rag.

Gabe’s breath hitched. He turned toward the open doorway and froze.

Both security guards who had been stationed there earlier were lying on the floor outside, unconscious and covered in blood. There wasn’t a single sound....not a groan, not a gasp. Just silence.

Did... did he really do that? Gabe’s thoughts trembled. But how? He’s a Beta. Just a Beta. How the hell did he overpower two guards and knock out an Alpha without hearing a single fight?

His pulse hamred as tears gathered in his eyes, rolling down his cheeks in uneven streams.

Alex rushed to him imdiately. As he approached, the strange golden glow in his eyes flickered, then faded, returning to their usual color. He slowed down at the bedside, breathing hard, and gently helped Gabe sit up. He pulled the ward blanket over Gabe’s exposed lower half, shielding him, his touch surprisingly gentle despite the violence he’d shown seconds earlier.

Their eyes locked.....Gabe’s wide with trembling fear and confusion, Alex’s darkened with fury and sothing else... sothing raw and protective.

"This is why I told you not to co here," Alex said, his voice thick with anger, frustration, and a wounded kind of worry. The sound of it sent a shiver through Gabe’s spine. "I knew that husband of yours is a motherfucker! Are you satisfied now?!"

Even though he doesn’t rember shit about what happened in his house... he’ll still have the feeling that you want to sleep with soone else apart from him. Alex thought inwardly all while he ran his fingers through his hair.

Gabe swallowed hard. His throat burned. His hands trembled as he hugged himself, curling inward. He dropped his head between his knees and let out a broken sob.

Tears dripped onto the sheets....so real, so deliberately exaggerated. Fake cries, he reminded himself, just enough to get Alex’s sympathy at least.

But the sound of his crying hit Alex instantly.

Alex’s breathing hitched. His anger faltered. His expression softened, confusion mixing with guilt.

Huh? Did my words affect him? Alex thought, startled. He swallowed hard, the tension in his shoulders easing.

"You’re right..." Gabe whispered, his voice shaking, his face still buried. "Sabe will always remain a motherfucker." His shoulders trembled as he continued crying. "I just... I just wanted to co see him. But I shouldn’t have. I should have listened to you. I should’ve stayed."

"It’s fine. You’ve realized your mistakes now," Alex said firmly, his voice still carrying the remnants of anger but steadier than before. "We need to leave before he wakes up. And don’t worry about the dia....I promise you, Sabe won’t be able to pull anything. I won’t let him."

"But if I leave... then Sabe will co after you," Gabe whispered, finally raising his gaze to et Alex’s. Fear, strategy, and sothing almost soft flickered in his eyes. "You just hit him. You hit him at his house before too even though he can’t rember that but he’ll definitely rember this. He’ll co after you, Alex. That’s the problem with people in power. They don’t tolerate insult."

Alex lean closer, jaw tightening. "I don’t care about that. I know he’ll co after . He can co after all he wants." His voice deepened with conviction. "What I care about is my client. I’m not going to stand by and watch him get abused."

Your client? Gabe echoed inwardly, a slow smirk threatening to curl the corner of his mouth....one that Alex didn’t see. Am I just a client, or sothing more now?

"But I care about that," Gabe murmured after a mont, his tone shifting to fragile concern. "I don’t want anyone getting hurt because of . I know what Sabe is capable of." He paused, studying Alex with calculating eyes. "Besides... how did you knock out the guards at the door? They’re Alphas even if they’re not high-level. And Sabe... sure, he’s injured and a bit weak, but he’s still a high-ranking Alpha. So how the hell does a Beta like you overpower all of them?"

Alex looked away briefly, rubbing the back of his neck. "You don’t have to worry about , Gabe. And... as a therapist, I learned so martial arts. Enough to defend myself, and enough to help so of my clients who had abusive partners." He exhaled slowly. "My skills aren’t superhuman, okay? Which ans your husband and his guards might wake up soon. That’s why we need to leave now."

Oh, really? Gabe scoffed silently. That’s surprising. But anyway... I can’t leave Sabe right now. That would cause a headline the mont his whore shows up. Instead... I’ve already set the stage for him to hit once he wakes up. That’s perfect evidence for my divorce without damaging my image. If anything, I’ll gain sympathy. And ruin Sabe.

"I’m not leaving, Alex," Gabe finally said out loud, his tone flat and unwavering.

The words hit Alex like a slap. His spine stiffened as he stared at Gabe, stunned. "You....what?"

"I’ll stay here until Sabe wakes up," Gabe repeated. "I’ll follow him ho. Watch over him until he gets better. Matthew can’t handle everything alone."

Fuck. Look who wants to take care of soone, Alex thought sharply. You’re the one who needs care not the other way around.

"Are you serious right now?" Alex demanded, eyebrows raised, annoyance spilling into every word. He placed one hand on his hip, frustration radiating off him. "Are you even hearing yourself? He just tried to rape you. He doesn’t care if you die. Soone like him could cover up your death in minutes."

Gabe held his ground. "I’m serious, Alex. I’m staying with Sabe. I’ll still co for therapy sessions... but I have to stay with him until he gets better."

Fuck! He’s such a fool! Alex thought, the impatience inside him boiling. He acts smart sotis, but maybe he isn’t. He claid he wanted to get over his husband but look at him now.....still concerned about that bastard. I was right. Ogas are dumb.

Without saying another word, Alex turned and stord out of the ward, the door slamming shut behind him. Gabe remained seated on the bed, the blanket still wrapped around him, while Sabe lay unconscious on the floor, breathing shallowly.
