After the ineffective Fla Bomb attacks ceased, nurous heavy crossbows were erected from the Snake-man trenches. Huge barbed spears were loaded in the grooves, the iron strings tightened quickly under the cranking of gears.
"Trying to climb up? Do you think this place is so easy to conquer?" Zilvra, observing the Snake-man's actions through the Perception Crystal, imdiately instructed Norton to activate the Fire Elental Shield. At the base of the All-Knowing Tower, countless streams of magma erged, swirling continuously around the bottom of the Flying City under the sweep of the Storm Barrier.
"If you have the guts, then get through the Molten River!" Zilvra said harshly.
The Snake-man warriors seed unfazed by the magma looming over their heads, proceeding undisturbed as they launched the harpoons with long ropes attached upward. A faint red glow protected the airborne weapons, preventing them from being hard by the Elent Barrier.
Thump, thump, thump, the sound of impacts echoed continuously, the spears driving fiercely into the rocks at the base of the All-Knowing Tower, clinging tightly. Hot magma slid down the long ropes toward the ground. However, despite the steam constantly rising from the entire cable accompanied by sizzling sounds, the ropes did not burn through.
The Snake-n could not withstand the temperature of the magma, but their allies—the Fla Lizards—could. It was only at this mont that these creatures shed their disguises, holding the unique hook axes of their race in their mouths, gripping the ropes tightly to begin climbing.
To them, magma was like water to humans. They had long adapted to living in volcanic craters, and the high temperature only provided them comfort.
Although through the Crystal Ball, Zilvra could clearly see everything happening there, no creatures that could climb the cliffs were on the All-Knowing Tower, thus the hidden enemies at the base of the Tower were unstoppable.
"Perhaps the Rock Spirits can remove those harpoons!" The thought crossed Zilvra's mind. She was about to issue an order when the little angel Soka flew in from outside.
"Didn't I tell you not to leave Yilinrui? What are you doing here?"
"Sister Zilvra, Sister Yilinrui asked to tell you not to use the Elent Abilities of the Tower anymore. It has seriously affected... affected that sothing or other magic use—sorry, I can't quite rember..."
"Damn elf, why say it only now!" Zilvra cursed and then said to the little angel, "You should hurry back, I can handle things here!"
"What should we do now?" Norton asked. "Should I force the entire castle to land, that way we could crush the Fire Lizards."
"No! I'm afraid the violent impact would also disrupt the function of the Magic. I can't take that risk." Zilvra frowned, clenched her fists tightly: "Imdiately disengage from the front lines, turn off all Elental Protection. Order the Rock Spirits to dig out and discard the rocks hooked by the ropes."
Norton nodded, and the All-Knowing Tower imdiately began to ascend in height. The ropes connecting the two positions were instantly pulled taut. Although the crossbow cannons were tightly fixed to the ground, the power of the All-Knowing Tower was unrestrained, lifting the weapons out of the trench as if pulling radishes out of the dirt. The Fire Lizards firmly held the swaying connection ropes in the air; if not for the weapons in their mouths, they might already have been screaming in panic.
The Storm Barrier was imdiately lifted, and the magma vanished mid-air. However, the Snake-n were unprepared for this change, and by the ti they attempted to attack the All-Knowing Tower with Fla Bombs, the target had already flown far away.
However, the Tower did leave behind a parting gift. The Dwarf Morgan stood at the edge of the city platform, weapon in hand, perpetually ready to fend off enemies climbing up. As the Tower began to withdraw, he knew there was temporarily no opportunity for combat. But Red Beard would not be content to let it end like this; he smashed the box beside him, and strapped a Dwarf Bomb he had secretly taken from the warehouse onto the aerial combat crossbow cannon.
The Dwarf warrior nearby grabbed his arm, saying, "You can't do that!"
Morgan glared and said, "You're right, I can't do this." As he spoke, he pulled out a large glass bottle filled with yellow liquid from behind, smashing it on the Dwarf Bomb, shattering it. The yellow liquid coated the entire bomb. Morgan kicked the trigger, sending the bomb towards the Snake-man Camp.
