A tall snake-man, seemingly their leader, dressed in a robe embroidered with a sun emblem, stood in front of the blood-filled pool, muttering incantations, while sprinkling so unknown powder into the pool with his hands. After a while, the entire container emitted a dazzling white light, and all the snake-man prayers erupted in cheers. The entire cave echoed with shouts of, "Uslra. Uslra!"
Several snake-n carefully took out a large wooden box, gently carrying it before the leader, and opened it. Inside, it was filled with eggs — those were snake-man eggs. The leader took the eggs one by one from the padded box and imrsed them in the now bleached pool water. Soon, he took the eggs from the pool, and they were emanating a white glow.

"That was so cruel!" Nimo and Deluo said in unison. Lynch didn’t focus on the thrown serpent egg but began studying the terrain to figure out a solution to the dilemma here. With so many snake-n troops, how could the three of them possibly clear them out? Even if they returned to Hanmosidun City, they might not be able to muster reinforcents - the gray dwarves had no taste for such battles, and ambushes weren’t their forte.
