But now, Lynch wanted to convene the Great Mage Council. Apart from the absence of teleportation magic making this assembly slower and more cumberso, the eting itself wasn't very difficult; being a Great Mage, Caso could help him. However, making all mages stop their spell trials was simply wishful thinking. "I hope Lynch's mind isn't up to sothing crazy," Caso thought silently to himself.
Lynch suddenly raised his head, looked at his ntor, and made his decision. "I want to beco a Great Mage, and then I will have the right to convene the Great Mage Council."
Caso was taken aback and quickly said, "Wait, child, you want to beco a Great Mage, which is a great aspiration. But can becoming a Great Mage make that decision pass?"
"My determination is made, please make all the necessary arrangents." Lynch nodded and replied.
"To beco a Great Mage, you can only succeed your ntor's position." Caso said, "I can feel it, the magic power within you is surging, and when you went to Moon Port for that task, you were already close to the level of a Great Mage. I could have directly bestowed this title upon you, but now, your thoughts are irrational. I can only choose to stop your actions."
"No, dear teacher, I will not take your place." Lynch shook his head. "I want to beco a Great Mage and ensure that proposal is passed; there is only one path to take. I must challenge the position of the leader of the Mage Association."
"No!" Caso stood up, pressing his hand on Lynch's head, "Are you insane? That requires dueling with the Great Mage until no more Great Mages question your authority! No one can do that, the leader of the mages has always been a product of compromise, no one has dared to challenge all the Great Mages."
"I have no choice," Lynch grasped his ntor's hand and slowly stood up. "I'm going to the Mage Trial Tower now, entering from the highest floor. When I co out, I hope those Great Mages will be waiting for outside."
"You're simply..." Caso pointed at Lynch, but his anger eventually subsided, turning into endless worry. "Very few people have ever survived that trial, even as the administrator, I don't know what's at the topmost tower. If you've made up your mind, I have sothing to give you, at least it can make everything a bit simpler."
"I don't need those items," Lynch smiled. "On the way here, I've already made my preparations."
"No! You must take them!" Caso turned towards his room, shouting back at Lynch, "Follow ."
When Lynch saw his ntor secretly wiping tears from the corner of his eyes, his aged back seed even more staggering, he quickly followed. He supported Caso's arm, just as he often did before leaving.
The old mage brought out all his treasured magic items, placing them all in front of his apprentice. Although Lynch was confident he could defeat any Great Mage without relying on these equipnts, he still equipped himself as much as possible to ease his ntor's concerns.
"Thank you for your help, ntor Caso. But I hope, when I co out of the Trial Tower, all the Great Mages will be waiting in front of this Mage Tower," Lynch said, "I will definitely co out of there."
"I know, child. You have grown up," Caso replied. "I only hope that your abilities don't grow beyond what your own reason can control. Even now, I still think your plan is too crazy."
Lynch just smiled, putting on the last Air Elent Control Ring on his hand, and soared towards the Mage Trial Tower with the magic wand. He had entered this subsidiary building of the Great Magic Tower three tis: the first ti was to prove he had the potential to use magic, the second was to formally beco an apprentice from an attendant. The third ti, he secretly entered the Trial Tower and passed the interdiate mage's test.
No one knows how this tower operates, as all docunts about this high tower's construction have long been destroyed to prevent anyone from uncovering the secrets of the tower and manipulating the mage's assessnt process. Every mage who enters the tower faces a different trial, and each floor represents different levels. No one can know what another mage has experienced, nor can anyone rescue a candidate from the tower.
