"But the money and supplies the elders sent are also in that bag. It looks like they too will be corroded, and there won’t be much left that’s usable," Nimo said worriedly. "So how can we get supplies?"
"We’ll find a way when the ti cos. Let’s see what we have left first."
The three of them carefully avoided the acid on the ground as they salvaged the remaining goods.
"Deluo, how co you’re so strong? It’s the first ti I’ve seen soone break a lizard’s hard shell with bare hands," Lynch asked.
"Haha, it’s nothing! Let tell you a secret, I actually have dragon blood," Deluo flexed his arm, showing his strong biceps to Nimo and Lynch. "It’s said that among our ancestors, there was a giant dragon. My family always has various advantages. So are very knowledgeable and learn quickly; so are unafraid of any wounds and can heal rapidly; but I have great strength. Although I haven’t yet mastered control over this power, as I gradually adapt to this advantage, I will beco a mighty warrior. Perhaps even the greatest in the world."
"The greatest in the world? There’s never a ’greatest’," Lynch abandoned his search for goods, straightened up, and said, "So does that an your sneaky entry into the dragon’s lair is also due to your bloodline? Did the dragon not sense other kinds of creatures because you blended in?"
"No, no," Deluo quickly waved his hands, "It was because I was brave that the dragon didn’t dare say anything, haha. Oh haha."
In the Underdark, there is no sun and moon, and it’s always dark. But what is strange is that there seems to be a clear distinction between day and night. All creatures follow their own habits, and the activity ti is the sa no matter where they are.
Based on this information, the underground inhabitants have also identified "night" and "day." The periods when large carnivores frequently appear are recognized as night by the other underground races. At these tis, except for the exceptionally strong or those with no other options, no one ventures out into the Underdark.
Lynch and his team were no exception; during the night, they would camp in a relatively quiet place and not advance any further. Having lost all their food stores and fallen into hunger, they were finally persuaded by Deluo’s insistence and decided to roast the red acidic lizard. Nimo worked hard to separate the lizard’s at from its bones and cleaned it. Deluo found so large mushroom stems to use as "firewood." Lynch used the Transformation Technique from the Creation Law to shape a rock into a grill. They lit a fire under the rock, and the thin slices of lizard at sizzled on the stone slab, with golden oil oozing out. Nimo took out the last bit of seasoning from his backpack, sprinkling it lightly on the at slices, and turned them over with his dagger. The side of the at in contact with the heated stone slab shrank and curled up, quivering and jumping with excitent from the hot oil, releasing a tempting aroma.
Deluo stared intently at the at slices, rubbing his hands together, "I told you this would taste good. Nimo, hurry up! When can we eat?"
"Yeah, when can we eat? We’d like to join in too," ca an unfamiliar voice from behind the three of them...
