Lynch nodded; if you haven't seen the scene of a blood battle with your own eyes, it's almost as if you haven't been to the Nine Layers of Hell. The Desire Demon swayed her hips and flicked her tail from side to side, deliberately walking slowly ahead of the mage.

The place Eryies ntioned was really just an Arrow Tower, but there were no guards here. Perhaps millions of years ago, it was the outermost part of the Bronze Fortress, but as construction expanded, the new structures outside had replaced its function.

The scorched copper rail was slightly hot to the touch, but what truly made Lynch's blood boil was the outermost battlefield. The demons and devils began charging at each other, like two black torrents sweeping the earth, and even through six layers of walls, Lynch could feel the tremors of the ground.

Right under the Arrow Tower, Quasits were still driving low-level soldiers toward the battlefield. They rcilessly whipped the soldiers with the whips in their hands, leaving charred stinking black marks from their burning weapons. The soldiers quickly perked up, following closely behind their comrades.

"Alright, you bunch of idiots!" a Quasit roared loudly as his whip landed on an unfortunate innocent one. "Whether you've fought a blood battle or not, all you need to listen up! A blood battle is like shoving a rock up your ass, nothing fun about it! But if you don't follow orders, you'll find out that compared to the punishnts you'll face, a rock in your butt is the best entertainnt in the world!"

Hearing the voice of the devil below, Lynch's lips curled into a smile. However, Eryies looked serious, quite unlike her usual deanor. She opened her mouth and kept talking, yet no sound ca out. What the Desire Demon was doing was exactly reciting the sa "morale-boosting" speech as the Quasit, a silent speech.

"Now get out onto the open ground outside the fortress and tear all those demons apart for !" the Quasit shouted loudly, "Whether you hide your strength in your mouth, or between your legs, use it all! Do you think they will show you rcy? Ha! Then you might as well believe there's an angel licking your toes! They will cut off your head and use it as a toilet! They will yank out your guts and use them to tighten a belt! They will even chew your bones, leaving no scraps behind..."

As the Quasit disappeared around the street corner with the crackling sound of the whip, his shouting could no longer be heard up high in the Arrow Tower. Lynch said to the Desire Demon, "Eryies, how many blood battles have you participated in? You rember all their propaganda lines so well?"

"Too many, my dear," the Desire Demon walked to Lynch's side, her green eyes silently gazing at the mage. "I can't even count how many years of blood battles I've been through, nor how many souls I've tempted. All I have are mories of slaughter and deceit. They have rged together, solidified and ford the fortress of my past tis."

"Sorry for bringing things up; I forgot that your life far outspans mine and the pain you've endured is beyond imagination," the mage said, "I shouldn't disturb you anymore."

"Dear, why do you always have an evasive attitude? Is there sothing here that you fear?" Eryies' voice grew louder as if to ignite Lynch's anger, "Just say the word, and I'll be entirely yours. Everything you want to know and should know, I'll reveal to you without reservation, leaving absolutely nothing hidden."

"Your words have so many double anings, making it hard for to respond," Lynch shook his head, rubbing his red robe with his right hand, which rustled. He cast his gaze back into the distance, longing but not daring to let his eyes linger on the Desire Demon for too long. Like a dangerous whirlpool, at any mont, the mage might be swept away by Eryies, losing his sanity and soul. He feared he would be unable to return once he fell. But on the other hand, Lynch enjoyed this thrilling feeling, using it to train his nerves, perhaps even his spells.

The Desire Demon stood behind the mage, estimating the next move of this "bumpkin" before her. She had already witnessed countless souls from outer planes and was well aware of these people's joys, sorrows, and deepest desires. With just a glance or a gesture, Eryies could imdiately grasp the other party's intentions, making the most reasonable judgnt. Initially, she underestimated the opponent's intelligence, thinking he was just a clueless newbie, thus losing the best leverage to control the mage. On the other hand, failure cloaked the Desire Demon in a "harmless" guise, allowing her to gain her master's trust better. Now, isn't this effect becoming clearer?
