Watching Yang Lin sotis furrowing his brow, sotis deep in thought, the others did not urge him. Although the Star Sea has established its own intelligence network, gathering information scattered across the Constant Domain, its short formation ti ans it hasn’t deeply penetrated the core of each world, resulting in relatively little intelligence, often of low value.
Yang Lin, however, is different. As the Mountain King and a central figure of authority in Lin’an, his accumulated advantages over countless ages allow him to access far more information than the Star Sea, including key intelligence that could influence the battle situation.
After a long ti, Yang Lin finally set down his pen and paper, and cupped his hands towards Lu Hong, saying, "My Lord Star Lord, I have recorded all the information I know. Please review it."
Taking the stack of intelligence Yang Lin handed over, Lu Hong distributed it to Nuoshan and the other five individuals. Everyone began to read every word carefully.
After several rounds of circulation, all the information Yang Lin summarized was laid out before everyone.
Nuoshan was the first to speak: "Gentlen, who do you think our next target for Star Sea should be?"
"Baifan World." Xie’an was the first to respond.
"I disagree, I think we should attack Xiaoan World." Eferot imdiately countered without giving Xie’an any face.
Hearing these successive dissenting opinions, Xie’an glared at Eferot: "Do you want to fight?"
"Hehe." Eferot let out a cold laugh, then raised an eyebrow: "I’m a civilized person. Starting a fight at the drop of a hat is sothing only a crude person would do."
Lu Hong was a bit surprised by Eferot’s rebuttal: "I say, royal brother, how did you beco so eloquent?"
Hearing Lu Hong’s question, Eferot replied with an embarrassed smile: "I’ve lately been reading more, learning much human knowledge."
It is widely accepted that beastn are reckless and uncultured. Eferot breaking this traditional image brings a good na to the Beast Race, and Lu Hong nodded approvingly.
anwhile, the Crown Prince Shengde, watching the drama unfold, chid in: "Commander Eferot is just seeking revenge for Xie’an slipping away last ti."
At these words, Lu Hong beca interested: "What happened? Tell about it."
"Shut up!"
"If you dare spill it, I won’t take you next ti!"
Instantly, Xie’an and Eferot glared at the Crown Prince Shengde, pointing at him threateningly.
"Well..." The Crown Prince Shengde waved his hand, indicating helplessness.
Nuoshan then chuckled by the side and voluntarily uncovered the layers: "Actually, it wasn’t anything major. Just a few days ago, Xie’an invited Eferot out for so flower wine, saying it was on him, telling Eferot not to bring money. After drinking flower wine, halfway through, our Marshal Xie escaped through an excuse, leaving Marshal Eferot to suffer considerably."
"Flower wine again?" Lu Hong felt a bit speechless, sighed, and said: "When did you two develop this fondness?"
"Um... My Lord Star Lord, warfare is brutal, this is just so relaxation."
The two awkwardly smiled, hastily explaining.
Lu Hong waved his hand: "Forget it, it’s not a big deal but don’t stir up trouble over military and political matters. Each of you explain the reasons for attacking Baifan World and Xiaoan World. If you can’t reason it out, don’t bla for being impolite."
The threat in Lu Hong’s words was clear, prompting Xie’an to quickly argue: "My Lord Star Lord, according to Yang Commander’s intelligence, Baifan World is the strongest world surrounding Lin’an. I believe if we can seize Baifan, it would surely enhance our deterrence over other surrounding worlds, possibly subduing others without battle, sparing us from the trouble of initiating war."
Upon hearing this, Lu Hong nodded and looked at Eferot again: "Royal brother, what about you? What’s your reasoning?"
"My Lord Star Lord, my rationale is simple too. Xiaoan World is a resource-producing world containing abundant mineral resources. The sooner we acquire these, the sooner our Star Sea can secure military supplies, freeing our troop expansion from equipnt supply constraints, thereby accelerating the training of new soldiers."
Listening to Eferot, Lu Hong nodded again: "There’s logic to that, so this ti we won’t penalize you. What about the others? Shengde, what’s your view?"
Upon hearing this, Shengde cupped his hands: "I also agree with Xie’an’s perspective. We’ve resolved Lin’an, and if we also resolve Baifan, our Star Sea’s prestige in surrounding worlds will certainly ascend another level. At that ti, issuing one docunt may lead those smaller worlds to choose submission, with no harm coming from it."
Lu Hong did not respond to this but opted to continue querying Tian Shengwu: "Old Wu, what do you think?"
"? I follow Yang Commander. He understands the surrounding worlds the best. Whoever he suggests we attack, I’ll support that."
It has to be said, Tian Shengwu’s ingratiation toward Yang Lin could make even dogs shake their heads.
"Alright."
Finally, Lu Hong turned his gaze on Yang Lin: "Yang Commander, what do you think?"
"Well..." After thinking for a mont, Yang Lin then said: "My Lord Star Lord, Yang believes Baifan World and Xiaoan World can be attacked simultaneously without excessive concern."
Upon hearing Yang Lin, smiles appeared on both Lu Hong and Nuoshan’s faces.
Nuoshan laughed and said: "Seems there’s also soone clever among us!"
This remark was equivalent to mocking Xie’an and the others, but they had no temper, for after extended interaction, no one present didn’t admire Nuoshan’s savvy.
Eferot scratched his head in bewildernt: "Dare I ask, Lord Nuoshan, won’t dividing our forces to attack two worlds stretch us thin?"
"These worlds aren’t strong." An apt core remark from Nuoshan: "The surrounding worlds are much weaker than Lin’an, with even their elders only at early-stage Earth Realm. Even combined, they’re opponents of Lin’an, why can’t we directly split our forces to attack? We won’t just attack Baifan and Xiaoan; our Star Sea divides into five, each to attack one world, this ti, we aim to seize five worlds at once, expanding Star Sea’s territory by double!"
Listening to Nuoshan’s daring words, everyone was astonished, attacking five worlds at once, isn’t this reckless?
Seeing the surprised looks, Lu Hong chuckled: "What? Is there hesitation? This is your finest chance to build military success. I promise, whoever captures their target first will be granted complete control over that world, as I will confine it to the respective division."
Lu Hong’s promise sparked a fla in the hearts of the four divisions, igniting fervor.
"Good!"
"Good!"
The four agreed unanimously, eyes filled with enthusiasm.
Directly controlling a world ans absolute control. Like Tang Shi, Tian Wu; now Lin’an, despite several areas allocated for residence to the four divisions for rest and residence, actual control over aspects like tax collection, military, and governance remains in Star Sea’s hands. The four divisions aren’t allowed to intervene. Simply put, they enjoy residency rights, yet the resources and money produced in their residential areas won’t pass through their hands. All financial expenditures and resource consumption by the four divisions must be reported to Star Sea headquarters, applying for allocation.
Though allocation approval and implentation happen swiftly, existing via handouts creates dissatisfaction in the four divisions’ hearts.
Thus, this absolute control offers the four divisions a perfect opportunity for fiscal independence, igniting fervor among the commanders.
Eking out a living on wages, how many tis can one indulge in a month?
Xie’an and Eferot seed to sense it, locking gazes, their eyes filled with the spirit of combat.
If telling each other, this head start is mine, don’t stand in the way.
Though Yang Lin is new, he’s no fool, aware of the importance of such territorial rewards. But his Lin’an division’s combat capability is clearly insufficient for such contests... better to watch, not participate, not participate.
Seeming to discern Yang Lin’s thoughts, Lu Hong spoke: "Due to Star Sea’s fifth division, Lin’an Division’s recent establishnt and insufficient military power, the Blood-colored Divine Might Army will be assigned under Lin’an Division’s command. That should be agreed upon, right?"
In this, the other four did not object. The Blood-colored Divine Might Army, though strong, has limited troops. As capable as they are, placed in one world, within limited ti, can’t kill a lot.
Thus, allocating the Blood-colored Divine Might Army to the Lin’an Division wouldn’t greatly impact their head-start Competition.
