Everything returns to silence, but there will inevitably be a day of eruption.
Lu Hong slowly awakened. He didn’t know how long he had been unconscious, but now his weak body was empty within, perhaps even an eighty-year-old man could punch him to death.
"Cough cough..." Lu Hong gently made a coughing sound and forced his eyes open. What he saw was a dilapidated thatched roof, with raindrops occasionally dripping down and tapping on his forehead. Maybe that was what woke him!
Where am I?
Lu Hong struggled to recall his last encounter with the Soul God.
The Eternal Sword he used almost sacrificed all of himself, but in fact, he knew that just with these, it was far from enough to shatter the Law True Body of the Soul God.
And the change that appeared on the Soul God at the end, Lu Hong carefully recalled.
The power of space, life, and ti—the three Great Laws simultaneously acted on the Soul God. The Space Power instantly broke the Soul God’s original power without reservation, dismantling the Soul God’s defense. The Life Law extracted the Power of Life from the Soul God, causing it to quickly weaken, and the Ti Law accelerated the effects of the Life Law by tens of thousands of tis.
Although the Main God’s life force is vast like mountains and seas, to be drained of millennia of life in an instant was also an insufferable blow to the Main God. It was this weakening nature that suppressed the Soul God’s strength montarily, giving Lu Hong the opportunity for his sword.
The three Great Laws of space, ti, and life could perfectly act on the Soul God, indicating that the opponent must be either a Main God or a Titan God King, but which side actually acted, Lu Hong couldn’t tell.
Moreover, he seed to have fallen into the Endless Void at that ti, and the current dilapidated hut...
Lu Hong was sure he was rescued, but not by a powerful Heavenly God; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been left in such a simple place, with no intention to help even treat his injuries.
Still weak all over, Lu Hong didn’t have any energy to move; even turning his head was extrely difficult, and moving a little caused intense pain from everywhere in his body, stimulating his brain.
After a while, Lu Hong could finally see the scene inside the thatched hut clearly.
Aside from dilapidation, there were no other words to describe it.
Saying more only invites tears; even if a mouse cos, it would grumble and fuss.
About three hours later, a young man appearing seventeen or eighteen walked into the hut without a door, holding two yellow cornbread.
The young man looked up and saw Lu Hong looking at him with open eyes, his face suddenly showing surprise: "You... you’ve awakened?!"
Lu Hong stared intently at the young man before him who looked ninety-nine percent human, and at that mont, a sense of wonder surfaced in his heart.
Although all his powers were temporarily lost and his Divine Soul was extinguished, making his perception vanish, he was one hundred percent certain this young man was not of the Human Race.
Maybe it was a kind of intuition!
Lu Hong tried to open his parched lips, seemingly wanting to say sothing, but his hoarse throat couldn’t produce a word.
The young man reacted swiftly, laid down the cornbread, and quickly drew a bowl of water from a stone jar inside the hut. He gently raised Lu Hong’s head and fed him the water bit by bit.
"Drink so water first, then eat a little cornbread to regain so strength, then we’ll talk. You’ve been sleeping here for over a month, if you didn’t still have breath, I’d have thought you were dead." The young man chattered endlessly, like a chatterbox, recounting today’s events.
Through the young man’s rambling, Lu Hong roughly understood the youth’s hardships.
In the morning, he went thirty miles away to work in the city, doing odd jobs at various shops, the dirtiest and most laborious work, earning only a few copper coins each day, barely enough to buy a few cornbread to fill his stomach.
This life has been his for three years now. Three years ago, the youth’s grandfather passed away, but even before his grandfather’s death, life wasn’t much better; his grandfather had once been a Mud Craftsman, earning slightly more than the young man.
Once, the young man hoped to learn martial arts, to beco one of the upper echelons in the city, thus he was unwilling to learn this degrading ans from his grandfather, but now with his grandfather dead, the youth realized his regret.
Fortunately, the young man had a resilient character, not crumbled by hardship.
And, his heart was surely warm, or else how could he have saved Lu Hong, a drag on him.
Bit by bit, feeding a cornbread into Lu Hong’s mouth, the young man spoke again: "Before, you fell from the sky, you must be soone who practices martial arts? I am your life-saving benefactor; I hope you can teach so martial arts once you’ve recovered. I don’t ask for much, just a bit will do; teach , and I’ll practice on my own, without troubling you."
Upon hearing this, Lu Hong understood. The youth still couldn’t let go of practicing martial arts; it was this thought that drove him to rescue Lu Hong. But regardless of the youth’s intentions, repaying his life-saving benefactor is certainly necessary.
Lu Hong didn’t deny it, and nodded, speaking hoarsely: "I know swordsmanship; when I recover, I’ll surely teach you."
"Really?!" The young man was overjoyed. Swordsmanship here is considered a top martial art; it was beyond his expectations to encounter soone adept in swordsmanship!
"Are you still hungry? Would you like to eat this too?" The young man picked up the second cornbread, wanting to feed it to Lu Hong.
But Lu Hong shook his head in refusal: "I’m still severely injured, not suitable for eating too much; you eat it."
Lu Hong could tell these two cornbread were also the youth’s dinner. If he ate it all, where would the youth have the energy to work tomorrow? He probably wouldn’t even afford a cornbread then.
Listening to Lu Hong’s reply, the young man nodded and quickly picked up the cornbread, savoring it bit by bit, as if eating so rare delicacy, earnest and diligent.
Seeing the young man’s appearance, Lu Hong couldn’t help but feel so compassion.
Silence through the night; the next morning, the young man left early.
As for Lu Hong, he continued lying on the bed, unable to move.
It took a full half month before Lu Hong could barely get out of bed and move.
In half a month’s chat with the young man, Lu Hong also realized where he was.
Dark Continent!
Once the dark side of the Heavenly Continent!
The reason for knowing is because the youth himself ntioned it; the continent was called Dark Continent.
However, unlike the forr dark side of the Heavenly Continent, the current Dark Continent is already verdant and clear, akin to the forr Nine Domains.
Strangely, there is no Spiritual Energy here, or it’s extrely thin, so thin that Lu Hong only absorbed as much as a few breaths from the forr Nine Domains in half a month’s ti.
Aside from Spiritual Energy, it seems that Laws do not manifest either, and even the towering Titan Clan has degenerated to the current human-like stature, which indeed surprises people.
According to the youth, the current Dark Continent is divided into regions by cities established by Titans, divided into twelve major cities, each major city has twelve suburbs, and each suburb has twelve small cities. Beyond small cities, there are villages. As for where Lu Hong resides now, it’s at the outermost remote corner of a small valley outside the village.
Living so remotely, are there wild beasts? Certainly, there are, but not many. You must know the villagers have tough lives too, but there are always so hunters in the village. For survival, they’ve long killed off all the wild beasts near the village; generally, there wouldn’t be any wild beasts near the village, but deeper into the forest, it’s uncertain.
Dark Continent divides forces by major city, thus currently there are twelve major forces in the Dark Continent. The youth also heard rumors of soone trying to establish the thirteenth major city at the far end of the Dark Continent.
Currently, the twelve major cities already have mutual warfare; if the thirteenth major city is established, it will surely provoke a bloody storm.
