Chapter 1975: Chapter 1975: Siege
“If you want to join forces, then co. I have never been afraid of anything. I want to test if this body you speak of so highly is truly as miraculous as you claim. From my perspective, this body does not even need to be preserved further. Once this battle is over, it will rely be raw material.”
Li Yao was utterly fearless at this mont, fully in control of this body. Although he lacked a Divine Grid or divinity, the sheer power of this body alone raised his usable strength by several tiers.
Now, he could advance or retreat with ease, and his presence here wasn’t very significant, so he had fewer reservations and naturally acted slightly more arrogant.
Of course, the main reason was the Divine King’s displeasure. To have fallen to this level and still fail to recognize the situation was truly pitiful.
Though the Salary Kings were slightly dissatisfied with the Divine King’s decision, they had to move forward and back together to preserve the pyramid.
The collapse of the plane was inevitable, and this pyramid was the ship to cross over to the main plane. Without it, they would face complete annihilation, including their people.
No trace would be left of this world, forgotten by people, and even if ntioned, it would rely be regarded as the loss of a minor plane, without even a trace of regret.
To completely control and protect the pyramid, the eight of them must continue to gather ashes and reignite them, thereby maximizing the pyramid’s offensive and defensive capabilities.
With no internal resistance now, the pyramid was virtually impregnable, and breaking it from the outside was unthinkable without divine rule power.
Reaching this point, the Salary Kings were conflicted, unsure of what to do, and their intent to seize the body was not rely for sealing purposes. The body had long since beco an Energy Core, its explosive energy being one of the pyramid’s power sources.
Even when the eight kings couldn’t gather entirely, it could function fully. Now that it was seized by Li Yao, they naturally wanted to reclaim it.
Their dilemma was that Li Yao, after all, was a major Lord of the main plane. Offending him just like that would make integrating into the main plane even more unpredictable.
But the situation left them no room for further hesitation, and the Divine King, accustod to being above all, would not tolerate dissent. His displeasure with Li Yao led him to imdiately attempt to seize the ancient god’s body.
This maneuver was led by the Divine King, directly maneuvering the pyramid to descend like the smoke of Mount Tai.
The speed was incredibly swift, practically leaving Li Yao no ti to react.
“Hehe, try my four pairs of eyes’ beam attack.”
The eyes of the ancient god’s body flashed with gray light, and several beams projected from them.
The eye beams were naturally extrely fast, nearly hitting the descending pyramid at the instant the eyes flashed.
Intense explosions echoed continuously from where the beams and the pyramid connected.
With the dense explosions, the flas encasing the pyramid thinned more and more, eventually being torn apart by the blasts, directly striking the pyramid’s core.
The pyramid’s descent suddenly halted and abruptly began tilting sideways, being flung away.
Especially as the pyramid flew away, the ancient god’s gaze swept towards the Divine King.
The Divine King was imdiately struck as if by lightning, his form flung like an artillery shell, crashing into the pyramid with an earth-shattering roar, the beam nailing him to the pyramid, burning.
When the beam disappeared, the other seven Salary Kings managed to stabilize the flung pyramid, its base showing scorch marks and slight cracks.
As for the Divine King, his whole body was charred black, plastered to the pyramid like a giant character, his life force significantly weakened.
A few Salary Kings gasped. This ti, the Divine King truly suffered a huge blow to his vitality.
If it weren’t for his connection with their aura and montum, and his own control over the Sacred Thunder Soar, he might have been seriously injured or plunged back into slumber, uncertain how many years it would take to awaken again.
“Trash is indeed trash. I should never have entrusted the initial furnace to you.”
The sky gradually filled with a blood-red hue, a cloud of blood enveloping the area.
Figures erged from the blood cloud, attacking the ancient god’s body from various directions and in various ways.
Seen from below, the ancient god’s body seed swallowed by the blood cloud.
The ancient god’s body had only one normal arm, the other being a massive tentacle.
It wielded a massive sickle shrouded in dark energy, and the tentacle could be used as a whip or release corrosive venom.
Amidst the endless onslaught, it remained unflustered, flinging figures away with a swing of its arm. The Reaper’s Scythe was even sharper, directly tearing a shriveled body apart and its eyes unleashing beams that incinerated mummies to ashes.
Despite Amon’s frenzy, the ancient god’s body stood firm as a mountain.
“Go ahead, kill. Today countless have been sacrificed. Each body can house my will and fight for . I’m curious how long you can keep killing.”
Amon manipulated each withered humanoid, shouting hoarse and piercing cries.
“How dare you call yourself a god? You haven’t even mastered ntal transformation. Frankly, an unrefined country god like you doesn’t understand the heights of the spiritual realm and levels, but I understand.”
Li Yao spoke thodically, yet his words agitated Amon to the verge of madness.
Waves of blood surged with overwhelming force, attempting to corrode and dissolve the ancient god’s body.
However, these corrosive blood waves not only failed to harm the ancient god’s body but could even wash its wounds, restoring life. More troubling for Amon was that the sprayed venom from the opposite side eroded the blood waves, causing the boiling blood to spill and lose control.
“If you were the Blood Ancestor, such blood would suffice to dissolve . If you were the Blood God, it would force to retreat. But you’re too weak, both in level and in mastering true laws. You’ve no idea of the treasure you possess, yet chase after external things. If you had refined this world, it wouldn’t crumble so completely, nor would you fail, defeated by the creatures you created. I’ve never t such a foolish deity; you’ve redefined my lowest perception of divine beings.”
Amon was nearly driven insane; these words ant nothing to others but were painfully harsh to her. She knew the truth too late; the opening of heaven was the best chance to refine the world, but she delayed for worldly allurents.
Only after it burst did she realize the opportunity; as the world was incomplete in evolution, another chance arose, but she missed it again. From that point on, her fate was sealed…
