Chapter 1039: Chapter 1039: No Solution Chapter 1039: Chapter 1039: No Solution People from the Prosperous Era were bewildered upon receiving the ssage, utterly unable to comprehend how Starfire could launch an attack on their city the instant they declared war, catching them completely off guard and leaving them to be slaughtered without a chance to react.

Suddenly, a swarm of bats appeared in the sky, and Li Yao flew toward the Prosperous Age Base on the back of his black dragon, accompanied by a dense flock of bats.

When they reached the city walls, half of the bats descended and transford into vampires, starting to fiercely fight with the guards on top of the walls.

In the sky, Starfire players enabled their gliders and continually dropped grenades onto the area below; the intense explosions combined with the screams of agony threw the Shengshi Guild’s location into absolute chaos.

In the air, the remaining bats split into three groups with a simple combat mission—to blockade the inn’s entrance.

Unlike the general housing provided by Starfire, almost all guild mbers would bind their Hearthstones to the guild’s inn.

Using a Hearthstone to return to the inn could only take one to a private space on the second floor of the inn, and one still needed to co downstairs to exit. It’s important to note that only officials of the guild could enjoy the privilege of having rooms in the guild’s inn.

This made it difficult for the mbers to co out en masse as there was only one entrance.

To accommodate these officials, the Prosperous Era built three inns.

At the sa ti, Feng Yi also started a live broadcast—not targeting the guild, but streaming it across the entire network.

The official channel directly pinned her live room to the top of the hopage.

The number of viewers in the live room skyrocketed; this was the first guild war in the age of ancient gods, and nearly everyone who saw the news beca curious. Once they saw Feng Yi’s live broadcast, countless people joined in.

Then they witnessed the Shengshi Guild’s location engulfed in the throes of battle.

Li Yao personally blocked the entrance to the largest inn; he summoned his gun emplacents, and he with the shape-shifted form of the black dragon were fighting on the hill of gun batteries.

Although the inn was large, the entrance was limited, allowing only three people to enter or exit side by side at most, which was completely insufficient—the more erged, the more were killed.

It was true that an invincible Paladin could manage to get out, but as soon as the invincibility wore off, they would be slain by the vampires waiting outside, not only failing to help but instead becoming Blood Servants.

The sa principle applied to Li Yao; with every person he killed at the entrance, an additional Skeleton would arise, leading to a situation where the more he killed, the larger the enemy’s numbers grew.

The lobby on the first floor was even more limited in space, able to accommodate at most around a hundred people, leaving even more unable to leave from the second floor.

“Prairie Fire, your Starfire has gone too far,” Beast Speaker and Cousin from Shengshi said as they guarded the entrance to the administrative hall, not daring to step out.

Now, the base was in utter chaos; Shengshi Guild mbers present at the base were simply too few, with Beast Speaker directing in the midst of it all.

Cousin from Shengshi, on the other hand, led people to continuously battle against Starfire players who had deactivated their gliders.

However, this was just the beginning of the nightmare. As the Prosperous Era geared up to counterattack, Starfire was already prepared, and their War Crossbows fired almost instantly.

The sky was filled with red exploding arrows, like countless teors tracing beautiful arcs in the sky, plumting down and causing relentless explosions all across the Prosperous Age Base.

Those war machines of Starfire couldn’t harm their own people; at most, they would be blown away or overturned by the blast wave, but they wouldn’t be injured.

But the players from Prosperous Era were in dreadful shape this ti, as Starfire had brought over five hundred crossbows in one go.

One crossbow could unleash a hundred explosive arrows, so a single volley was fifty thousand—what was that concept like? The whole world seed to be illuminated in a blazing red.

It was practically a carpet-bombing campaign against Prosperous Era.

Li Yao and his companion were shielded by the turret, effectively unhard. After a single volley, players from Prosperous Era on the streets or without cover were nearly completely massacred.

Li Yao glanced indifferently at Beast Speaker in the distant hall and said coolly, “Is it us who have gone too far, or is it Prosperous Era who has? You know very well. That idiot Prosperous Young Master blocked our way at the door and got exposed. You guys really know how to play. Since that’s the case, why should I be polite? You want the first kill? It won’t be that easy.”

“There must be so misunderstanding here. If you retreat now, we can pretend as if nothing has ever happened,” Beast Speaker said gravely.

“I always thought you were smart, but, heh, retreat, do you think that’s possible? Prosperous Era should have anticipated our revenge when targeting us. It’s just that you folks were too stupid, thinking I would play by your tune,” Li Yao sneered.

“Prairie Fire, you’ll never understand the depth of Prosperous Era. Even if Starfire wins this ti by tearing faces with us, it won’t escape the fate of destruction,” Beast Speaker’s face also darkened, as Prosperous Era had never been subjected to such treatnt.

“I will certainly look forward to it. The two bases of Starfire are ready for your attack at any ti,” Li Yao said contemptuously. Prosperous Era is strong, but what of it? Starfire had now truly ford a small fleet—two Magic Powered Ships. Afraid of attacks?

At the sa ti, viewers who witnessed the spectacular sight of tens of thousands of arrows being fired were audibly gasping in shock.

They had seen the power of the crossbows at sea, but they hadn’t expected that the simultaneous launch from five hundred would be so terrifying.

A single round of tens of thousands of arrows was enough to crush any resistance Prosperous Era had just put together.

“Holy shit, this weapon of Starfire’s is way too OP. It’s like they can attack anyone they want from now on.”

“What the hell, are these Prosperous Era guys insane? Why provoke Starfire? Haven’t they learned their lesson from the battle at the port?”

“They thought they were clever, intercepting the first kill like it belonged to them. These super guilds are shaless. Now look, the others have flipped the table and aren’t playing nice anymore.”

“That’s vicious. The walls were breached in a short ti; Starfire entered the base within ten minutes, while the people from Prosperous Era were stuck, unable to co out of the inn. They outnumber Starfire by several tis, yet they were beaten by just a hundred.”

“So, this is another way to fight? This inn setting is a bit… hmm.”

“Each mber of Starfire can at least occupy one room, and at most five or six players can stay in one house. Could it be that Starfire built so many welfare houses precisely because they were afraid that people wouldn’t be able to leave the inn if they were blocked?”

“You’re thinking too much. Just by looking at you, it’s obvious you don’t understand the rules of guild battles. Although I don’t know how Starfire managed it, others simply can’t replicate it. Even blocking the inn is sothing only Starfire can do.”

The audiences were mostly there for the excitent, but the major guilds felt a shiver down their spine.

Yes, because of the declaration of war rules, they had never thought about blocking the inns to render nurical advantage useless, but sohow Starfire could directly reach the battlefield after declaring war, which was terrifying.

Especially the guilds that had a grudge against Starfire were extrely restless. Their mbers could stay on high alert for a day or two, but it was impossible for everyone to remain at the guild’s location all the ti. If Starfire could use this thod against Prosperous Era, they could just as well use it against them.

Unbeknownst to them, Starfire’s mbers had beco the center of attention again, as they thodically attacked the guild buildings of Prosperous Era…
