"Points are basically earned through missions that one pletes for the sect. Missions are accepted from the Mission Hall, and there are various Mission Halls scattered throughout the sect. The points gained from pleting any mission can be used to exchange for resources such as cultivation pills, upgrade the grade of the manual one practices, or choose a new manual and the like," The Decipherer Of The Heavens explained. "They can even be converted into Origin Essence Stones if one wishes, but points only function among the disciples of the sect. Within the city, only coins are accepted, while Origin Essence Stones serve as the primary currency between cultivators," he stated in finality.
"I see..." Anthony replied as the explanation made perfect sense.
Before long, they arrived at the Heavenly Library, and since it was still early in the morning, no one else was there yet, as everyone was still going about their morning routines or attending to whatever duties they had to plete before the day truly began.
Personally, Anthony did not need these cultivation manuals. He was not here to choose any of them; he was simply here to flip through them and see what they were like. Nothing here could pare to his own techniques or his Nothingness Cultivation Manual. As far as he was concerned, this visit was nothing more than satisfying his curiosity.
Anthony and The Decipherer Of The Heavens stepped into the Heavenly Library. This time, The Decipherer Of The Heavens did not bother concealing himself, as there was no one around besides the Librarian.
Seeing Anthony and The Decipherer Of The Heavens once again, the Librarian immediately stepped forward and bowed respectfully to the Core Elder in greeting. At the same time, he could not hide the shock on his face as he noticed that Anthony had already been promoted to the rank of an Above Disciple despite having only recently ascended.
"No need to guide us," The Decipherer Of The Heavens said to the Librarian before continuing forward together with Anthony as they made their way toward the upper floor.
"As I said earlier, Above Disciples are allowed to cultivate Saint Grade manuals, but as a descendant of the Sect Master, and considering how special you are, you are permitted to cultivate Origin Grade manuals," The Decipherer Of The Heavens stated.
Anthony arched an eyebrow before asking calmly, "Isn’t that against the rules?"
"The Sect Master is the rules," The Decipherer Of The Heavens replied in an equally flat tone.
Anthony smiled but said nothing further. After climbing the stairs for a while, The Decipherer Of The Heavens pushed open a large door, and the two of them stepped inside. Before Anthony stretched countless shelves filled with neatly arranged books. His sky-blue eyes swept from one shelf to another as he quietly observed the enormous collection before him.
"Although I don’t really need to say this, I still will," The Decipherer Of The Heavens spoke. "Whatever technique you choose from here, you are not permitted to teach it or hand it over to anyone else. Furthermore, you are required to return every manual within the time limit specified by the Librarian," he explained.
Anthony simply nodded before walking forward without another word. His fingers lightly brushed across the spines of the books as he strolled down the aisle. He did not need to ask to know that this floor contained Origin Grade manuals and techniques. Even so, there were still an astonishing number of them lining the shelves.
Anthony picked up a movement technique titled Silent Wind Steps.
He casually flipped through it, his mind already prehending the technique with effortless ease. The manual detailed every movement, even including diagrams in certain sections to illustrate the proper execution of each step. Anthony closed the book before returning it to the shelf and reaching for another manual. This time, it was a fist art titled Revolving Cannon.
Once again, Anthony flipped through the manual before calmly placing it back where he had found it. The Decipherer Of The Heavens did not follow him. Instead, he simply remained standing by the entrance while Anthony gradually disappeared deeper into the enormous library.
Anthony spent a total of one hour flipping through finger techniques, body techniques, sword techniques, movement techniques, and many other manuals. However, due to Anthony’s absurdly high standards, every single one of them appeared mediocre in his eyes. Of course, it was not as though he actually needed any of them in the first place.
After placing the last book back onto its shelf, Anthony turned around and walked toward the entrance, where The Third Core Elder had remained patiently waiting the entire time.
The Third Core Elder looked toward Anthony. Seeing that there were no books in Anthony’s hands, he naturally assumed the young man had already stored the manuals inside his spatial ring before asking,
"Which manuals did you choose?" His tone remained calm.
"None," Anthony replied flatly as he walked past the man and headed downstairs.
The Third Core Elder raised an eyebrow in confusion before asking, "Why? Although I understand that your understanding of Laws is already extraordinary, there may still e a day when you enter a place where the use of Laws, regardless of grade, is pletely prohibited."
Anthony paused mid-step before turning back to face The Third Core Elder.
"My own self-created techniques and cultivation manual are already superior to these, so I have no need for them," he replied calmly, his voice pletely devoid of arrogance. "I only came to see what the manuals of an Upper Galaxy looked like."
The Decipherer Of The Heavens remained silent for a brief moment before gently shaking his head, as though this was exactly the oute that he and the other Core Elders had expected all along.
It had to be understood that even Earth Grade manuals and techniques surpassed almost every technique that existed within the Lower Galaxies. Yet Anthony had calmly declared that even the Origin Grade manuals cultivated by the Elders themselves were inferior to the techniques he had personally created.
"Although we did not send one to you, Above Disciples normally receive Law Notes as part of their cultivation resources," The Decipherer Of The Heavens spoke once more. "However, we decided not to send you any because... well, you already know why." He paused briefly before asking, "Would you like to see one?"
Anthony remained silent for a few seconds, seemingly considering the offer, before gently shaking his head.
"No need. Since I won’t gain anything from the notes, there’s no point bothering with them," he replied.
The Third Core Elder nodded before following behind Anthony as they descended the stairs together. Before long, the two of them walked out of the Heavenly Library.
"This is where I’ll be leaving you. I’m sure you already know your way back to the cottage and the Above Disciple area," The Decipherer Of The Heavens stated.
Anthony simply nodded.
"Also, you and the other Above Disciples will depart for The Sleeping Hollow in four days. If there is anything you need to prepare beforehand, make sure to do so," The Decipherer Of The Heavens said in finality before vanishing from where he stood.
Anthony stared into space for a brief moment before a faint smile appeared on his face. A portal silently opened before him, and he stepped through it without hesitation. He was looking forward to meeting these Vanishing Reapers and seeing exactly what The Sleeping Hollow had to offer.
