Two days later, I was barely awake, sprawled out on my bed, when my door flew open.
“Bro! Sothing crazy happened.”
Izuku’s voice alone was enough to make want to throw sothing, but the fact that he barged in like I owed him a sandwich made it worse. I groaned and sat up. “The fuck do you want?”
He was breathing like he had just outrun Aizawa’s patience. Hair frizzed. Eyes wild. Great. Either he saw God or found a new Quirk in his sock drawer. Wait, he sees every day. Must be the second.
He shut the door behind him, pacing like he just downed three energy drinks. “I saw them.”
I blinked. “What.”
“The previous users. Of One for All.”
I rubbed my face. “This better not be so sleep paralysis shit.”
He ignored . “I was training, and I blacked out. Then I was… there. Inside One for All. And the first user… he spoke to .”
I sat up properly. “Define ‘spoke.’”
Izuku stopped pacing. “Like, he talked. Full-on conversation. Not so weird cryptic vision. And I saw the others. Not all of them, but most. The ones at the end, they were… incomplete. Faded, like they weren’t fully there.”
I stared at him. “So, what, your Quirk has a group chat now?”
He ran a hand through his hair. “I- sort of? I don’t know, it is not that simple. But they are real. And the first user, he told sothing important.”
I raised a brow. “If you say so chosen one bullshit, I am kicking you out.”
“He said I am not alone.”
I rubbed my eyes. "So let get this straight, you entered the Avatar Mode…"
"Inside One for All," Izuku corrected.
I nodded. "Right, right. The previous avatars were lined up in a single line."
He groaned, already irritated. "They were previous users of One for All. But, yes, they were lined up."
I humd sagely. "And they told you that you were not alone."
Izuku nodded.
I fell back onto the bed. "And Avatar Wan spoke to you. Did he warn you against a big evil?"
He punched my leg. Bastard. I winced. "First holder of One for All. And he showed his past. I think it was him and All for One. They were brothers."
I sat back up, rubbing my shin. "What, like actual brothers? Blood-related? Not just so ‘we are taphorical brothers in destiny’ bullshit?"
Izuku nodded. "Blood-related. The first user... he was the younger brother. And All for One… he basically controlled him. Took care of him, but not in a good way. More like… keeping a pet."
I scoffed. "Yeah, that sounds about right. What else?"
Izuku shifted, like he was still processing it himself. “First wasn’t strong. He was sickly, weak. But he opposed All for One’s plans. I saw scenes where All for One took Quirks from mutants, those who looked different, and gave them to people who wanted them. In exchange, he wanted their loyalty, building an army.”
I humd. “That does not actually sound so bad.”
Izuku looked at like I had just spit on his All Might shrine. “What are you saying, stepbrother?”
I kicked him into the wall. “Do not talk like that, bastard.”
He groaned, rubbing his shoulder.
“I am not saying he was just, or even right,” I said. “But that act alone is justifiable. You have no idea what living as a mutant is like. But you do know what being Quirkless ans. If soone offered you a mutant-type Quirk, not stolen, but willingly given by soone else, would you refuse? For example Hairy Iida's quirk.”
Izuku slumped against the wall. He muttered, “His na is Jurota Shishida.” Then, quieter, “And no. I would not refuse.”
I got up, stretching. Izuku imdiately turned the other way. "You have a morning wood. Why the hell are you stretching?"
I didn’t stop. "You are the one who barged into my room."
He turned away faster. "I forgot you sleep naked."
I grinned, grabbing my clothes. "My foolish brother, the scariest villains are not those who are strong, but those who can use morality and justification to their cause. Don't forget that."
Izuku mumbled sothing under his breath and refused to look in my direction. Probably debating if learning about past lives was worse than whatever trauma I just added.
I pulled on my pants and flicked his forehead. "Relax. I am dressed now."
Izuku still looked at the floor. "I am trying to unsee."
"Good luck with that."
I checked my phone. The dorm was already waking up. The sll of coffee drifted in from the common room, and sowhere down the hall, Bakugo was already cussing soone out. A normal morning.
Izuku finally looked up. "You really think that is the biggest danger? Villains who can justify themselves?"
I pocketed my phone. "People follow ideals. Anyone can fight strength, but ideals? They spread like a virus. If they sound right, people eat that shit up."
He frowned. "You think people would follow soone like All for One?"
I raised a brow. "Like they didn’t already?"
Izuku opened his mouth. Closed it. Crossed his arms.
I clapped his shoulder. "C’mon. Let’s eat."
Walking into the kitchen, I barely spared a glance at the gathered idiots before making my announcent. "Move, bitches. Daddy needs his coffee."
Mina was already on it. She slid a mug across the counter, smirking. "Made it just how you like it, boss."
I grabbed it, took a sip. Perfect. "Good minion."
The TV was on, playing another segnt on Endeavor’s fight. The interview footage flickered between different civilians, each giving their takes.
"He was incredible!" So guy in a suit, looking like he was about to burst into patriotic tears. "He proved himself as the new Number One!"
Cut to so old lady shaking her head. "But is he okay? He seed injured badly."
That part was new. People never used to ask that about All Might. Sure, they praised Endeavor’s strength, but the way they talked about him… it wasn’t the sa. The shift was subtle, but it was there.
Kirishima leaned against the counter, arms crossed. "People are still unsure, huh?"
"Of course they are," Jiro muttered, tuning her guitar. "He is not All Might."
Sero tossed a chip into his mouth. "Yeah, but who is?"
Kaminari scoffed. "Bro, they could throw God himself into that spot, and people would still be like, ‘But can he SMILE while punching a hole in a villain’s skull?’"
Mina leaned on the counter. "Public wants a symbol, not just a powerhouse."
"Yeah," I muttered. "And he ain't one."
Bakugo clicked his tongue. "Tch. Who gives a shit what they think? Strong is strong."
I pointed my mug at Bakugo. “That is why you will never be Number One hero.”
He looked at like I had insulted his mother. Actually, nah. I would never insult Aunty Mitsuki, and Bakugo wouldn’t care this much.
“What did you say?” His eyes were locked onto , sharp enough to kill.
I shrugged. “Being Number One is more than strength. It requires belief that cos with it. That is why Endeavor was mad when All Might retired, leaving him with the title. He didn’t earn it. He was given it.”
Bakugo scoffed, jaw tight. “Tch. You are full of shit.”
I took a sip of my coffee. “Am I? What part of that isn’t true?”
He tensed, and I could see the gears turning in his head. He wanted to argue, but he knew he had nothing.
Kirishima glanced between us. “I an, Ryuu got a point. Endeavor worked his ass off, yeah, but he never got to actually challenge All Might for the spot. It just... happened.”
Bakugo clicked his tongue but didn’t respond.
I just waved my hand lazily, "I know you are an All Might fangirl as much as Izuku, but all you shout is 'Die!' all the ti. That won't cut it. Sa goes for Todoroki. He wants to be strong to to prove to his father that he is not a project baby, but beyond that, he doesn't have a conviction or belief. Even Mineta is better than you two. At least he... I don't know, wants to make harems real, protect won from everyone but himself or so shit."
Mineta sniffled from the side, voice cracking, "He gets ."
Shoji grabbed him by the collar and threw him across the room like a dodgeball. No one protested. Hell, I half expected the teachers to co in and give Shoji extra credit for community service.
Kaminari whistled, watching Mineta fly. “Damn, he really got the free trial of flight lessons.”
Sero leaned back. "Eh, he is built like a stress ball. He will bounce back."
“Literally,” Mina muttered, watching Mineta hit the couch, roll off, and land face-first on the floor. He didn’t move. Probably for the best.
Bakugo, ignoring the human projectile, narrowed his eyes at . "What the fuck do you even an? I will be the strongest, so what the hell else do I need?"
I exhaled, leaning back. "Strongest at what? Beating people up? That is so villain-ass logic."
His eye twitched. "Tch. Shut up."
Kirishima scratched his cheek. “I an… he kinda got a point, bro.”
Bakugo scoffed. “You too?”
Jiro crossed her arms. "Look, no one is saying you are weak, but what do you actually want? Like, beyond ‘blow shit up and be number one.’"
Bakugo clicked his tongue, not answering. Not a surprise. The guy didn’t do ‘talking about feelings’ unless those feelings were rage and explosions.

A couple uneventful days passed. We trained. We ate. We mocked Mineta like it was an elective course. Usual.
November 29th. Joint Training Battle with Class 1-B. Which ant I had to suffer through dealing with that blonde idiot again.
“Maybe Kendo has already killed him,” Yaoyorozu muttered beside .
I sighed. “One can only wish.”
No such luck. Monoma was right there, running his mouth the mont we arrived.
“I conducted a survey,” he began, smirking like he was about to reveal so groundbreaking discovery. “And it turns out that Class 1-B’s cultural festival performance had more votes than yours! Roo and Juliet, Prisoner of Azkaban: Return of the King was the clear favorite, while your little dance show barely made an impression!”
I deadpanned. “That is a lie.”
He gasped, clutching his chest like I had stabbed him. “How dare you doubt my research, Midoriya? The numbers don’t lie!”
“Yeah, but you do.”
Kendo, standing behind him, looked about two seconds away from smacking him unconscious. “Monoma.”
“But Kendo-”
She raised a fist. He shut up. Finally, so peace.
