Xavier let out a groan as he held his stomach, at the last mont he used all the Mana covering his body and focused it on his stomach before the impact but still it wasn't enough.
[Healing]
Xavier quickly used healing but it wasn't just a flesh wound so it would take longer and Mia was currently the only one fighting, Xavier stood up and walked towards his sword.
Even though he could barely move, he couldn't let this happen to Mia, Mia was being pushed backwards with every swing and finally her sword was knocked away from her hands.
Xavier ran forward as the figure moved towards Mia but all of them stopped as sharp spikes of ice erged between them.
Mia imdiately dashed away creating enough space as she went for her sword, and Mirabel joined the battle.
Xavier stood up as his healing was now starting to kick in, slowly he was getting better and better and the figure didn't charge in and stood there watching the three of them.
Now it was three on one with the three of them moving closer to each other.
"Who is that?" Mirabel asked.
"We have no idea"
"What about the instructor, anyone?"
"Aren't you hearing the commotion, the capital is under attack" Xavier replied.
"Xavier is your stomach okay?" Mia asked.
"Yes, a little"
"Are we going to capture or kill?" Mirabel asked.
"What do you think?" Mia looked at her.
"I'm going for the kill, we have no idea if the person would answer any of our questions so what's the use" Mirabel muttered.
"Alright then, I and Xavier would attack, don't co too close, just provide cover support and when you see a good chance take your shot" Mia spoke
The figure stood motionless observing the three of them, and soon Xavier and Mia spread out to both of his sides and Mirabel was in center but she didn't move.
Without a word, the figure lunged forward towards Xavier and Mia imdiately dashed from behind.
After the first strike Xavier barely had ti to recover before the figure was on him again, his strikes relentless, but Mia swooped in from behind.
It was two of on, but it seed like it was one on one, with the figure blocking and countering both of them almost perfectly.
Each clash of their blades sent sparks scattering, and the intense heat made it nearly unbearable for both of them to hold on.
Imdiately both of them backed away and Mirabel who was already preparing her spell launched.
She launched huge chunks of ice spikes towards the figure which he shattered with his flaming sword, Mia and Xavier looked at Mirabel with a surprised look, her attack was slow and too easy to dodge or counter but she wasn't done.
Mirabel placed her hands on the ground and the figure kept his guard on but from behind sothing pierce him.
"Arrg..." The figure scream as part of the ice ford a smaller spike which shot through his back but his body was also coated with Mana but still he was bleeding.
"Co close now" Mirabel shouted and both Xavier and Mia dashed towards her
Mirabel held both of them from so seconds, "Go, don't worry about the flas"
Xavier charged forward and Mia darted in from the side, her blade flashing as she aid low to sweep his legs, but the figure dodged, his movents eerily fluid despite the fla and the injury he received.
He spun and unleashed a wave of fire in Mia's direction, forcing her to roll out of the way as the ground sizzled beneath her.
Since the fla enveloped his entire body it was hard to figure out when he was planning to use a spell, so [Disrupt Magic] was also impossible.
Mirabel raised her hands and released a blast of cold air, her magic surging forward in an attempt to smother the flas and she did as the fla died out along with the fla covering the figure.
But it didn't last as the figure body burst into flas again.
Xavier took the opportunity to attack, swinging his sword down hard. The figure caught the strike with his fiery blade, but the impact forced him back a few steps.
Xavier pressed forward, striking again and again, each swing faster than the last, his muscles burning from the effort. He could feel the heat but it wasn't affecting him like it did earlier.
Mia moved in again, her sword aiming for the figure's flank. He noticed her at the last second, twisting his fiery blade to deflect her attack, but her strike had enough force to throw him slightly off balance.
Mirabel who was now a lot closer took advantage, summoning a large ice spike that shot forward, piercing the flas around his shoulder and drawing blood.
With a fierce lunge, the figure broke free his fiery aura dimming as he staggered backwards. But he wasn't done. With a roar, he plunged his sword into the ground, sending a wall of fla surging toward them.
Xavier raised his arm, gathering Mana to shield himself, while Mirabel summoned an ice barrier to block the fire.
The flas crashed against the ice, heat seeping through, but she continued infusing Mana strengthening the ice. As the flas receded, they saw him advancing, sword raised and body still engulfed in fire but he was coming towards Mirabel.
Xavier didn't hesitate. He charged, his sword eting the figure's in a brutal clash. The heat surged, forcing him to pour every ounce of Mana. His arms shook under the pressure, but he refused to yield, driving the figure back, inch by inch.
Mia flanked him, her attacks precise and swift. The figure pushed Xavier back to block Mia's attack but instead Mia's blade struck the figure's leg causing him to crash to his knees.
Mirabel unleashed a blizzard of cold air again drying his fla.
Seeing the opening, Xavier focused his Mana into his sword and struck, the figure still tried to block with his attack sent his sword flying.
In a single motion Xavier drove his sword forward piercing through the figure's stomach and sinking it in till it exited the other side.
Xavier backed away from the body as it fell to the ground and let out a sigh as he also slumped to the ground.
Mirabel didn't even care as she ran past it to look at g who was in the ground, luckily she wasn't dead but unconscious so she carried her away from the tower before using her ice to stop the flas.
The crystal responsible for the barrier had already been destroyed in the fla.
Xavier finally stop up and walked towards the body and was shocked, he was staring at the dead body of May, who worked at the dining hall.

"Wait, isn't that... it's her" Mia spoke as she also saw May.
Xavier couldn't believe what was happening till a notification appeared in front of him.

'A demon, wait...May is a demon? From the demon kingdom?'
The next mont her body began to dissipate and turn into dust as the three of them watched till her entire body was gone.
"She's a demon, only demons turn into Mana and fade away when they die, how did she get into the academy, how did she get into the capital in the first place?" Mia muttered.
"She must have sealed her powers, demon powers can be sealed and unlocked, so she must have sealed it when coming to the academy, I'm going to take g back to the dorm to be healed, let's go" Mirabel spoke.
"I'm going out?" Xavier spoke.
"You're going out, what are you going to do, you know the Royal knight and the army would stop the Intruders" Mia spoke.
"I know, but I'm still going" Xavier spoke as he began walking forward.
"I have to get g healed" Mirabel spoke.
"After she's healed, stay at the dorm" Xavier said to Mirabel as he began running forward, and Mia sigh weakly before running after Xavier.
"Why are you following ?" Xavier asked.
"I can't let you go by yourself, what if you get killed?" Mia said.
"You do know I'm stronger than you, and besides I want to see the attackers, if they're demons then I want to see their leader"
If it was truly demons attacking the capital then this was the mission he was given, and it was confird since the system gave him a notification after slaying May.
Xavier knew he couldn't face the demon queen right now, but what if she was killed by a Royal knight, then was his mission over or not.
Both of them finally reached the gates of the academy and went outside, the screams and destruction they saw was horrifying and 3 goblins saw them and imdiately began charging towards them.
Both of them heard a loud roar and looked up, as they saw a fla breathing dragon spitting fire on the capital.
