All the participants were separated by a few ters and when the race started none of them took a single step forward.
Even Ethan was so afraid of getting eliminated that he couldn’t take a single step, after all the first person to move forward would most likely get targeted.
Ethan was at the very end, so other students were at his right-hand side so he only turned his head to the other side and was ready to cast his spell at any ti.
Then one person took a step forward and all eyes landed on her as she walked forward without minding any of them, even the other students were afraid of attacking her and when she was so distance away she turned around and stretched her hands towards the other students.
’Shit, it’s the lightning girl, I have to put up a barrier in case’

(The plan is to do nothing since the lightning girl declared that she is going to defeat everyone and pass the test alone, then the other girls would want to join forces and defeat her first)

(Yes, all the girls would see is a scared male running for his life and they won’t mind you because for all they know, after the battle they’ll definitely catch up with you, but when you get to the forest then you’ll increase your speed and if possible use the heatwave you used against the king tier wolf to propel yourself even forward)

Ethan stretched his hands forward and a barrier erected in front of him and when he looked at the girl it confird what Hal was talking about.
None of the girls paid any attention to him or to themselves, only one thought was running through their minds, ’Defeat the lightning girl before she defeats us’
Ethan had been taught about lightning magic so he knew why the girls were this way, and Lara was a mage with an affinity to lightning, when Ethan was running from the wolf that was chasing him, as soon as lightning enveloped her body she ran past Ethan in an instant.
Lightning was definitely the faster of all magical elents but one of the flaws was that it has no defensive properties, lightning doesn’t have a defensive spell so if the girls were to attack the lightning girl she would have to run and she would be able to counter while running away from nine girls or so Ethan thought when he started running away.
"Lightning beco my cloak, lightning beco my spear, and rain from above, lightning bolts" the girl shouted as lightning enveloped her entire body and she stretched her hands forward.

The two girls closest to the lightning girl were struck from above, and before any of the other girls could realize what happened more lightning bolts rained down from the sky upon them, and soon one was upon Ethan.
’She’s aiming at , shit I can’t escape and I can’t defend against...’
(Take a stance and pour all your Mana into creating a barrier around yourself)
Before the lightning struck Ethan took a defensive stance and stretched both of his hands upward.
[Simple barrier, Advanced barrier]
Ethan first created a simple barrier then he created an advanced barrier and poured all his Mana into the barrier before the lightning struck.

The lightning girl fell on her knee panting and breathing heavily, she had just used her strongest spells and shot all the participants at once hoping for all of them to be eliminated.
The spell she used created a lightning cloud above her opponent and rained down lightning on them, the first two girls were too close to her so she took care of them first and used the confusion of the other to fire again.
"I’m very sure so of them survived" the girl mumbled as she struggled to catch her breath waiting for the smoke to disperse before making her next move.
Soon the smoke dispersed and as she suspected so of the girls survived, five of the girls survived and even Ethan survived but as the girl looked at them, he knew they couldn’t do anything, Ethan who survived was just standing still with his hands up.
"Three students have been eliminated" the voice who gave them instructions spoke.
(Hey Ethan, Ethan can you hear , Ethan..)
"My ears, my hands...I can’t move, I can’t...*thud*"
Ethan landed face down on the ground, most of his shirt was torn and he had minor injuries on his hands and upper body but since he wasn’t teleported yet aning he it wasn’t critical but the problem was his Mana.
Ethan used up his entire Mana and now was unable to move as he stuck to the ground in pain, he had to wait till his Mana recovered before he would be able to move.
"I knew they would survive but there’s no problem, the other three girls who would pose a problem for have used everything they have to defend against my attack so they can’t possibly win against , but this girl is really amazing, Freya Crimson"
Freya was standing and panting as she looked at the lightning girl but she was naked and the surrounding area around her was engulfed in fla.
