The Third Person’s POV
"Abby is right! We need to stop looking down on our fellow ranked mbers. It has never been that way in White Mountain or the Diamond Pack, who is our neighbors, but I know of many where the Alphas are tyrants and the Lunas act like little brats towards their pack. Look at the Crescent Moon pack, who only had a Luna for a couple of years. She swindled and took the heard earned money from her pack mbers to fund her own adventures of shopping. She is a terrible exact example of how so of you are treating your pack mbers and your fellow ranked mbers." Benjamin speaks up. Sami puts a hand on his arms. She can feel how his temper is rising, and she needs him to stay calm and clear in the head.
"I agree with my mate. I have not been a Luna for that long, but I know where things go wrong. We breed within our own ranks. Many of you, not all, but many have your fated mates as mistresses and a "pureblood" girl as your official Luna. This has been a custom for a long ti, but this is the ti of change. I also need to remind the room. There are good and fair Alphas and Lunas here, where the issue lies with their ranked mbers. Beta and gammas who take advantage of their positions." Sami looks around the room with confidence. She knows a lot of these people look down on her and Benjamin because she is not a "pureblooded" wolf, but transford when marked. Making her a hybrid between vampire and wolf.
’Sami, congratulations, btw. I totally forgot it in the mingle of everything today,’ Abby says over mind-link. Sami smiles.
’Thanks doll. We haven’t announced anything as of yet, but we will have to soon.’ She glows and sends Abby a grateful smile. She knows her wolf taddled to the Queen, but she doesn’t care. Her worry lies within her womb. She is not sure what the world will think of their little one. They even got a DNA test done, on her request, not Benjamins. Their child is theirs, but will be different in a realm of only difference.
The debate continues on. So agree with the view of Sami and Benjamin, while others refuse to make any changes at all. When Sami made her accusation of beta and gammas using their position as a ranked mber, she got a lot of not well hidden threats and not so subtle sexist comnts from so n there - Alphas, betas and gammas alike.
The days continued with the discussing amongst themselves. They had to co up with a new set of laws for their fraction. Abby and Matt insisted they were drawn up while having the gathering, and they made small progresses. Then, on the last day of the gathering, the council arrived at the Silver Moon pack. Abby knew it was so of the more insistent and ignorant Alphas who had called them in to tell her off. They were not approving of a hybrid girl being their Queen. Abby didn’t care. She had searched their library and the fraction library for answers regarding the council, and she had a surprise for those old and sexist n sitting there and deciding everything.
"Your highnesses." One of the counciln says, while only bowing for Matthew. Abby rolls her eyes.
"If we are finished ignoring , maybe we can get a move on this, gentlen?" She asks, while tapping her foot impatiently. The man looks him up and down before smirking.
"I am truly sorry, my Queen, if I offended you." He says sarcastically.
"No you are not, and stop wasting our ti." Abby bites back. She turns around without another glance at the snakes on her doorstep and walks towards the eting room.
In there, the room is divided. Those who are all for the royals, and who have learned to respect their king and queen’s sharp wit, fast thinking and snarky comnts. Abby is both fair, quick on her feet, and a fighter for equality. She will fight for what is right, no matter who she is fighting.
All packs, except Green Forest, Blue Lake and Light Wolf, have sworn the rulers loyalty and allegiance. That morning, however, the Alpha from Green Forest, Alpha Helias, was walking along the grounds when an enticing sll hit him. He followed it along the treeline and there in between the tree was the most beautiful woman he had ever set eyes on.
The woman turns slowly, and her eyes glow. She is a witch. He swallows, fighting to keep his wolf back. She walks towards him in confidence.
"Good morning, Alpha. I know you are my mate, and I know you are a firm believer in keeping the wolf community pure. So please, feel free to reject ." Her voice is soft, sweet and full of the confidence he saw in her walk. How could he reject his perfect half? He had been searching for her for a long ti, and almost given up.
Helias falls to his knees before her. Shaking his head, he looks up into her perfect light brown eyes. They look like lted caral and go with her caral colored hair.
"I can hear my reputation proceeds , but if you would give a chance, I will prove I can change. I will not reject you. You are perfect! What is your na?"
"Hannah. I am a forest witch, and I will give you a chance on one condition?" Helias nods for her to go on, hanging on the threat of sanity that she will be with him.
"You accept Abigail as our ruler. And you accept the changes coming to the packs. I will not be with so chauvinistic asshole." She puts her hands on her side, her voice stern and her eyes alight with resolution.
In the eting room, Helias keeps Hannah close to his side. Growling at anyone coming close to her. When the door burst open and Abby walks in, he hurries to her.
On his knees Helias swears her allegiance and apologises for his past behavior. Abby ets the eyes of Hannah.
"You accept this knucklehead as your mate, Hannah?" She asks, a glint of amusent in her eyes, and a silent comnt to Selene about her gas. Hannah nods, helping her mate on his feet.
"I welco you Alpha Helias, but rember this; Hannah is family here, not only to . She needs to talk to her coven Mother, who needs to release her. Hurt her and I will end you." Abby states calmly and the man swallows.
"I will protect her with my life." He says.
A minute later, Matt and the counciln walk in. They look sour, but Abby has heard that’s a permanent state.
"Well, now that everyone is gathered, I have an announcent to make. The council is hereby disbanded." Abby states, and the room explodes in cheers and yells of disapproval.
