The Third Person’s POV

It’s been a month since they caught Narine trying to cross the border. After they tossed her into the cell, Abby and the others had visited twice, only to be cussed at and threatened. Especially Willow got the brunt of her scorn.

She tried to talk to the guards every ti they brought her food or water. Her cell being restricted ant they couldn’t hear her, though. It was only those Morgan included in the spell that could communicate with her.

Maybe it was cruel of her, but after seeing the way Narine treated her little sister, Abby asked if Morgan could alter her enchantnt on the cell a bit. Still making it impossible for Narine to communicate to anyone outside those included, but making her able to hear what was going on in the pack. Snippets here and there, like a twenty/four radio playing.

Morgan laughed and said I should be possible and went to work on it. Narine would not know what hit her.

Abby had been laying in bed with Matt, holding him close after he cried himself to sleep. She had received a mind-link from Morgan.

’Abby, I’m sorry to disturb you, but this is rather important,’ she had said in a hurry. Abby shifted on the bed, sitting up so, and cuddling her mate close to her side. Matt sighed in content, but slept through her movent. He seed like he hadn’t slept the entire ti she was gone, which Galaxy confird. Blade had taddled through their wolf-link.

’I’m here. What happened?’ Abby asks back, her body stiff a bit until Matt burrow closer. He must have felt it in his sleep. She smiles down at him, brushing her fingers through his hair absentmindedly.

’Two things. First; Adriana is taking the others with her in a mory spell. She is going to show what really happened in the past, so Jonathan’s new mate can get so closure. And maybe she will as well. I was consulted and gave the green light. Hope it’s okay?’ Morgan says, nervousness in her ntal voice evident.

’Of course! You are more equipt to say yes or no, than , and besides; you are the Mother of her coven.’

’Yes, but you are the Queen..’

’Which doesn’t an you can’t decide without . Other than a war declaration, I will absolutely not be ddling with coven hierarchy on a daily basis!’ Abby answers hotly. She is not almighty, and she will not be that kind of ruler! Morgan chuckles a bit at her answer. Relieved and happy, her soul sister is such a great Queen already, despite not being it for long.

’And the second thing?’ Abby asks, after a minute of silence between them.

’Huh? Oh yeah! Right before the goddesses disappeared from your room, Selene linked . She had felt a presence in the throne room when they were giving us powers to teleport to and from. That soone jumped on a blind ride when they brought us here.’ She sounds kind of bitter, and Abby wonders who that soone can be?

’And who is this soone?’ Abby asks.

’Her na is Narine, and she is a threat to Willow and Adriana. Essentially to us all, if she gets the chance. She is the illegitimate daughter of Keres. Or so it is rumored, Selene says.’

Abby’s eyes widen slightly. Her fists in Matt’s hair tighten until he whimpers in his dead sleep. She loosens his hair, brushing it again. Her mind is working overti, and Galaxy is pacing in her mind. Soone wants to hurt their little sister. Well, that will not happen on her watch!

’What do you want to do?’ Abby finally asks Morgan, who smiles in her mind.

’Catch her and throw her in the dungeons and toss the key in a deep hole.’ Abby laughs out loud, which jolts Matt awake. He stares up at her and into her amused eyes. She lifts a finger to keep him silent.

’Sounds like a plan. Make sure the cell is enchanted, and she can’t communicate with others than us, Adriana, Ellie and Willow. I don’t want her to get inside help to escape.’

Seeing as Matt was awake, they talked everything over. And he told her about the plans to hold an Alpha gathering soon. Everyone was getting back to him about who was attending, etc. He was excited and nervous at the sa ti. This ant for the pack to pledge their loyalty to us as rulers, or announce themselves as enemies to the monarchs.

Abby agreed this was necessary, but she didn’t like it. They would be parents soon, and having a pack full of strangers with the newborns, didn’t really seem right to her. However, the alliances they could get would probably be vital in the up-coming war.

She then told him about the mory spell and Narine. Especially the last topic ticked Matt off. Why were the enemies just standing in line to take over from one another? He agreed with the plan to catch her. Then he promptly shifted them in the bed, saying no more work talk before they captured Narine. And he kissed her with abandon.

Morgan and her people had weakened the barrier around the pack borders, so it seed to be weak magic protecting them. Hiding the fact, they had set a magical trap for their special guest. It had worked wonders, and Narine had walked directly into it.

Then the next problem landed on Abby’s plate.

She felt it when her family and pack mbers disappeared into the spell. Sothing seed out of place, but she shrugged it off to her being worried on their behalf. But when they returned, Ellie’s voice rang out in her head.

’Abby, Jasmin and Adriana fainted! We can’t wake them, and their mates can’t sense them. We need help!’ By Matt’s look. He heard her too. He hurried out of bed and helped his pregnant Queen out with great care. She swatted him on the chest, declaring she was not dying, but carrying his spawns of chaos. He laughed at that, but reminded her she had been dying. Not more than a few hours before. Abby shook her head.

"It takes more than that to take out, love." Then she kissed his cheek and hurried out of the room. She had told Ellie to bring the girls to the infirmary. Only Jasmin sounded kind of familiar, but they had mates in her pack, and were by default her people!
