Maze
We’ve been at the store for hours, letting Frida and Kiara lead the battle to get Ryan and Jas what they need to survive. And a battle it has been. Ryan flat out refuses to let us buy him anything he does not see as absolutely essential, and it started in the computer store. Kiara had scoffed and told the salesman to only listen to her, as Ryan was clearly not working with the full function of his brain. All of us tried not to laugh at Ryan’s expression, but when Jas also fell down laughing so much, the rest of us followed. It ended in Ryan getting top notch equipnt, which I approve wholeheartedly of! He is going to work for the pack, so this is the least we can do.
"Alpha..." I raise an eyebrow at Jas, who gives a sheepish smile. "I an Maze?!"
"What can I do for you Jas?" He looks at where Ryan and Kiara are bickering over so clothes that Kiara insists Ryan needs, and Ryan absolutely does not want her to get.
"I just.. We really appreciate this, Maze. This is the first ti soone from the pack has openly accepted us, and helped us. We usually hide who we are in the pack and make due with what I earn and what Ryan makes freelancing."
"So, that is why it’s so difficult for him to accept the help?" Jas sighs.
"He has had a really hard childhood, especially when he ca ho and told his parents that he is gay and he had found . They knew from the get go, but they ignored it and tried to pray the gay out of him multiple tis." I look at Ryan giving up fighting against Kiara, and she does a little victory dance. Their friendship ans so much to her, and I can see why. She has not had many friends in her pack either, and having Ryan and Jas on her side while I was getting my head out of my ass was very important to her. And they are important to as well. They are family to my mate, and therefore family to !
"Kiara has not had it easy either. She is special, and her pack was a bunch of morons. They are a perfect match in that regard." Jas chuckles, looking at them as well.
"He views her as his sister. The day he t her, he ca ho that afternoon and declared he had gotten himself a sister, she just didn’t know it yet. But to be fair, he also didn’t know she was the Luna yet." A smile spreads on my face.
"You are both family to us, Jas!" I tell him clasping my hand on his shoulder.
"We are lucky to have you both as our Alpha and Luna, Maze. You are amazing people, and we support you unconditionally." The words surprise , but also make feel warm inside.
"Thank you! I appreciate the sentint!" Kiara moves on in the store. "I think I’ll rescue Ryan for a bit, and get my mate sothing for herself. Do a favor, Jas."
"Of course?!"
"Anything you like in here and the rest of the stores we’re in, you bring it to . We’ll make sure you are both set up!" His eyes widened. "And everything Ryan touches or seems to like, you bring that as well. I don’t care about price tags. Just bring it."
"But Maze, that’ll be very expensive."
"I still don’t care about that!" I reply and Jas chuckles.
"Alright, but I warned you in advance." I shake my head with a smile, moving to Kiara.
"Babe, let Jas harass his mate for a while. Let’s find sothing pretty for you!" I say as I take her hand.
"But we are just getting started."
"I know, angel. But let’s let Jas handle his stubborn mate, and I’ll handle mine." Kiara scoffs at and pouts. I roll my eyes and kiss the pout. "Co on, we’re going to find you so things." I just drag her away, with the laughter of Ryan following us - that is until I see Jas whisper sothing in his ear. Ryan sends a murderous look, and I just wink at him before disappearing into the ladies departnt.
An hour later we have everything, clothes and shoewise. Ryan took revenge on Jas by taddling to about his mate not having the money for a new phone or the broken tv etc. I gave him a clap on the back, and casually told Kiara who lit up like a christmas tree.
"So, I can focus on Jas now?" She asked excitedly, but I shook my head.
"Alastair, Frida, please help Jas place an order at the tv store for everything he and Ryan will need in their new ho and make sure he gets a new phone, computer etc as well." I gave Frida my card. "And et us in the food court in an hour." Frida jumps in joy, while Alastair stares at .
"I’ll get you back for this Maze." He threatens, as Frida drags him and the other two in the opposite direction than us.
"What are we doing?" Kiara asks, as I give the billion bags to the triplets.
"Would you please put these in the car, and et us by Sephora afterwards. If we’re not there, mindlink ." The triplets nod, walking towards the exit where we parked.
"But, Maze, I don’t need anything. I have everything I need."
"Sorry, angel, but you don’t have shit, and I am making sure you do! I have been a horrible mate..."
"Maze, we’re past that." I put my forehead against hers.
"I know, Kiara, but let do this! I want to spoil my beautiful Queen. I want to show you how I should have treated you from the beginning." She presses her lips to mine in a soft kiss, smiling at when she pulls away.
"Alright!"
"I think I am all shopped out for a year or sothing." Kiara says back in the car. I take her hand in mine, kissing her fingers.
"I’ll remind you when you find sothing online or Frida wants to go shopping." I say, laughing when she gives a glare.
We shopped in Sephora, and Kiara mindlinked Frida if she needed anything from there. Turned out she did, and Kiara insisted on getting it for her as a gift. She also got Alastair and the triplets sothing as a thank you for a great day. She even asked if we could bring sothing ho for Kristian and Leon, as they had stayed ho to take care of pack matters, which I agreed on. It wouldn’t be fair to the guys if I said no.
Ryan and Jas seed to have a great day as well, and on the way ho we drove by bed, bath and beyond to buy hoy things. Kiara and Frida each take a guy and lead them through the store with precision. Alastair, the triplets and I divide and conquer, helping where we can. I am really happy we brought two cars.
Afterwards, on the way back to the pack, Kristian called to let us know the furniture had been delivered.
"We got so pack mbers to help us, and we can move it around when you get here." Kristian says, sounding kind of weird. His voice is distant, and it’s like he is working on autopilot.
"Kris, is everything alright?" I ask, but he doesn’t answer. It’s like he didn’t hear . Kiara and I exchange a look.
"Kristian!" I say a bit more firmly, and he finally gets back to earth.
"Huh? Sorry, Alpha, I didn’t hear."
"Kristian, is everything alright? Did sothing bad happen while we were gone?" Kiara asks in a motherly voice.
"No, Luna. Quite the opposite actually." Kristian answers, which only confuses even more, but Kirara’s eyes light up.
"Is she pretty?" She asks, and now I’m really fucking confused. Who is she?!
"She is the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on, Luna. She is perfect!" He replies, and then it hits .
"Who is she, Kristian?" I ask, trying to contain my laughter.
"She is visiting her cousin, but she was out.. With you guys. She is amazing, and perfect and.." Kiara is laughing now, as her eyes cloud over. I try to keep my eyes on the road, but it’s really difficult when I also want to look at my mate all the ti.
"So, Alastair says her na is Calliope, and she is called Callie. She is 20, and if you guys break her heart he will rip it out himself." Kiara says with amusent laced in her voice.
"Luna! I would never. Neither would Leon. We’ll be waiting by Ryan and Ja’s house." Then he hangs up and the car fills with laughter. This is a surprise, but I’m so happy on my Beta’s behalf. They are going to share a mate, just like the triplets will. I know especially my Gamma’s has had a hard ti accepting this fact, but they have talked a lot about it and are on the sa page now.
"Kiara would you.."
"I mindlinked Alastair, rember? He’ll have told everyone else with a lot of curse words. He didn’t sound very happy when I linked him." This day keeps getting interesting.
