Blaze’s POV

After Princess Willow and Prince Jax, yes I found out they are freaking royalty. The di finally fell rembering the conversation from the other day where the guards ntioned them. And not only are they both royalty, they are trying to overtake the underworld, and pretty close to doing so, from that useless scumbag to Laurus. He was the one to betray my parents in the first place, giving them no other choice than to give up for the supernatural orphanage. Loch was going crazy when we found out, wanting to go with them back to the underworld and rip the bastard apart and swell in his suffering as we tear him limb from limb.

"So, demon spawn. You think you are mates with my princess, huh?" Ezra interrupts my murderous thoughts, and Loch is growling at his choice of words. I know he is trying to get a reaction out of , but I will not play into this plot.

"She is, and when I claim her she will not need a little teddy as yourself anymore, Ezzy," I answer with a big smile. Loch is laughing at my reply, but Ezra growls.

"Watch your tongue, little halfbreed, my opinion matters more to Amber than you think. She will reject you if she senses I don’t like you." He threatens and I laugh out loud, whipping a fake tear from my eye.

"Damn, you almost had there, Ezzy boo. You cannot interfere with the mayebond like that." I state, sure of myself and our bond. Ezra lifts an eyebrow at , smiling like I fell into his trap.

"Ah! But you sure seem determined to ruin the mate bond she has with the crown prince." He snarks. I curse myself. Yeah, I walked into that myself.

’Maybe you should tell the soft brained teddy why you hate Prince Chase so much? Make him help us get Amber away from him! He will only break her heart as soon as he gets what he wants from her.’ Loch suggests. I snorted at him.

’And then what, huh? Will he just surrender to our pain and be our friend all of a sudden? Brothers in arms, both seeking the sa path and result. No! He will laugh at us and we will sound and seem even weaker than before, Loch.’ I answer back, before snubbing him into the back of my mind. Ezra looks at curiously, but doesn’t say anything.

We keep walking in silence for so ti, maybe a few hours. The sun has traveled through the sky and my stomach tells it’s eating ti. I sit down under a tree in the shade, looking into the backpack. Ezra looks at , probably wondering if I intend to move while eating, which I haven’t. To my right, I can feel a small river stream reaching out and telling it’s the perfect drinking water - being a water elental has its perks.

I take out so bread, with cheese and ham to eat, as Ezra makes himself comfortable beside . He sighs deeply, before digging through his own bag. I’m about to ask what’s up, when Loch perks up in my mind.

’Heads up, we’ve got company.’ He says, but he doesn’t seem bothered, much, by the fact.

I look around, and Ezra does the sa, picking up on my alertness. Out of the woods to my right walks a little green forest gno. His eyes are almost too big for his face, his mouth a thin downward line. He has a mushroom on as a hat, and I recognize him imdiately.

"Aicon, what a pleasure." I greet him with a big toothy smile. He now better than to attack , but on the other hand, I sense a lot from his village in the shadows of the trees.

"Blaze the waterborn." He greets himself, my na rolling off his tongue in slight disdain. So, he does rember , how delightful.

"What are you doing here, Aicon? You are far from the village just to visit little old . Did you miss that much?" I ask in a honey sweet voice, discreetly checking my clothes for the hidden magical knives. They are made to be undetectable, which was proven right when I was a ’guest’ at the Silver Moon Pack, and made to be lethal to any supernatural they co into direct blood contact with. So, as long as the blade touches an open wound, or is plunged into an enemy, it will kill them almost instantly. Only really strong magic beings or divine creatures have been known to survive, enduring great pain in the process of healing, which will be delayed greatly.

"She wants you gone, Waterborn," Aicon answers my question with a sneer. I quirk an eyebrow, and look at Ezra.

"She?" I ask, although I have a hunch who this ’she’ is.

"The wood queen wants you gone. She is angry at you, and she orders Aicon and his village to get rid of you and your friend." Aicon’s eyes flash in annoyance. He knows they do not stand a chance against alone, and now I have a fluffy teddy to help - maybe.

"Are these friends of yours, halfbreed?" Ezra inquires, while looking over Aicon with a curious expression. I guess he hasn’t seen a forest gno before. They are really very shy people, and will only show themselves for their own gain or if their village is in danger.

"No friends with the Waterborn!" Aicon spits on the ground to show his anger at such a proposition, but I can’t help myself. I swing my finger slightly and the spit stops an inch over the ground, hover for a split second, and then lands in Aicon’s face. The gno leader yells in his language, and I laugh out loud.

"Not exactly friends, but acquaintances," I answer, as Ezra pucker his lips together.

"Uh huh. Then who is this wood Queen he is talking about?!" Ezra asks, looking between the angry gno and . I sigh.

"Probably Narine that disillusioned bitch." I answer, and as I say the na Ezra jumps to his feet, dropping his food and water bottle.

"What?! Is she alive?" He asks, and I stare at him in confusion.
