Saying that she made to stand up when his eyes widened and he wrapped his hand at the back of her head again and turned them over so he was now on top and she beneath.

"Asia."
"Get off , Aramis. We cannot work. So let's not waste our ti. I do not want a fling or to have fun. I want sothing serious and you just said it is a mystery. You just said so yourself."
"No, Asia wait, please. I did not an it that way."
"No need dear. Let go."

She sighed out and looked at him sternly. There was no trace of laughter on her face. "Fine, go ahead."
"When I said it was a mystery it was because of who Xander was. Though we are all Lords of our houses, he is the king. The people are there for him to think of," Aramaic explained quickly.
But the look on Asia's face wasn't changing much. She still wasn't convinced.
"Love, Jay already has Macy as his mate and then a mate bond overrules all magic and tradition. Such is the old law. Finding your mate is hard and rare. It isn't so common so when one finds his mate, it is cherished and breaks any bounds and chain."
"Okay, but Xander and Jade are mates even though she is a human."
"Exactly, so there shouldn't be a problem. It is rare to have such, a human mate but no one said it is impossible."
"Okay. But it does not change that you are in the sa situation as Xander."
"How?"
"You all are council mbers. You are Lords over your houses. There must and would be in house trouble and fighting. The only difference between Xander and yourself is the fact that he is king. So all houses and people would question it."
"Yes, but it is our decision who we choose to spend the rest of our lives with. Not theirs. And a mate bond moves with love, so I believe their love will prevail. To add to it, Xander is one stubborn king and Jay, not so stubborn but for Macy, he went against Xander, when they first found out."
"Wait, Xander was mad?"
"Yes because he disclosed his identity."
"I know you guys have to protect yourselves but lying to the one you love is bad."
"No one lied. You just did not know. It is different and it is because of the world we are in. Macy understood but she had to keep it secret from Jade till Xander was going to tell her."
"Then I ca in the picture again and she got captured, then not only was his true nature revealed to protect Jade, from that sly Zale, but the truth also ca out as well."
"Yes and then she hated him. I think she accepted him easily with the dragon stuff. It just wasn't compared to the fact that he orchestrated her family's death."
"Yes. I know I wasn't with her after the whole shooting thing, but I knew how devastated she was to lose them. It is just that Jade is a brave and strong girl. I know even when I was shot and she thought I died, it broke her as well. She is soft as well if you get to know her."
"I know her. I can see it in her eyes. She is a true leader."
"Yes, but you are speaking for the others. Do not forget we are not mates," Asia reminded him. "Or you want to tell I am yours?"
Imdiately his eyes changed. She could see a sting of pain etch deep in his eyes and knew she may have crossed the line with those words.
Sensing she had said sothing wrong, Asia made to get up and push him off her so she could apologize well. Looks like they still had a hard ti sorting things out.
The second she raised her body a bit when he was looking away from her eyes, Aramaic got triggered and he used his right hand to push her shoulder back down against the grass while capturing both her hands and pinning them above her head.
She did not bother struggling, it was of no use. He was stronger than her and she was predictable before him.
"Still thinking of escaping my grasp huh. You just do not know when you are beaten, do you?"
"I do and do not. Like up now, you have won. A girl knows when she is beaten. I surrender."
"Hmm, then why are you thinking of other ways to get unsuspecting and try again. All ways are showing your eyes. So I suggest you behave."
To emphasize his point, he released his grasp on her hand and used his hand to hold up his head while his right hand went up to her face, to hold her jaw a bit, admiring her beauty.
"Just too stubborn. You are stubbornly beautiful, dear."
Asia took the opportunity, freed both hands and attempted to use her legs to get him off her, but the second she did that, he locked her legs properly between his while grabbing her hands again and pinning her down properly.
"Told you but you still do not accept defeat. Do humans lie this way?"
His words struck ho and Asia felt ashad. She did change her words didn't she but she could not help but want to try.
"I'm sorry."
"I am not mad. Just have not t anyone who wants to struggle so much like you. It is both intriguing and fascinating." With how close they were, he just could not hold it in again and saw this as his opportunity.
Looking down at her lips, he t his price and her punishnt.
Imdiately she saw his eyes go down, she knew there was no escaping from the Predator.

'Crazy stubborn beautiful human..' Those were the last words to cross his mind before claiming her lips for real.
