and the mysterious man whose na was still unknown arrived at a building. In front of stood a tall building. Was that where I live? Was that the shape of the castle where I spend my ti? I got away from the mysterious man and then walked towards the place.

I looked around and saw that there was a tree tied with a cloth as a sign for the entrance to the forest that I used to go through. I walked over to touch it, and it felt exactly the sa as I always touched.

I counted the steps from there to the castle. It felt so quiet. Much quieter than before. There wasn’t a stranger’s voice that I heard nor was there the guards’ voice that I was used to hearing.

I entered and saw the whole shape of the castle that had beco my ho for seventeen years. I followed a rocky path. Around it was a garden consisting of rows of small pine trees, forming a line leading to a large door.

In that place, two n stood guarding the place. Maybe they knew because when they looked this way, the two of them then ran over to approach .

"Princess, you... where have you been?" asked a guard in a panicked tone.

They were looking for ? Did they also look for at Mirai’s house?

They led the way as they usually did. They still didn’t know that I had got my visions back now, and I didn’t have the chance to tell them because it seed there was sothing urgent going on.

Their steps were quite fast and briskly. I looked back to search for soone. I had almost forgotten the existence of the mysterious man. He had disappeared without a trace. He wasn’t where I last saw him. Again, I hadn’t asked his na yet.

Then, I entered the castle where everyone was gathered. I wasn’t sure about all the foreign faces in the room. All I knew was that they were all my friends. Then, I recognized a voice that was now sobbing pitifully.

Several people stepped aside to let in. They frowned as I looked them straight in the eye. In the middle of the room sat a woman, sobbing in a heartbreaking voice. From her clothes, she was a lady-in-waiting. The sa as the people stood at the corners of the room. From the voice, I was sure it was Mirai’s voice.

What was Mirai doing here crying? Oh, yeah... I should have gone back to Mirai’s house first... was this my fault?

I stood face to face with a man and a woman. The man had the sa hair color as . It was the color of the moon. Then, he glared at , making feel anxious.

Father. I knew from the first glance that he was my father. A large man with a white beard and mustache covering half of his face. Beside him stood a woman who I believed was my mother.

"Cecil. Where have you been at a critical ti like this!?" asked my father with a sharp tone.

My mother rubbed my father’s hand, maybe telling him to be patient.

"Sorry. I didn’t an to make mother and father worry. I t a man-"

"A man!?" shouted my father, making surprised.

At that mont, I imdiately knew that I had made a fatal mistake. A mistake that I would always rember. Father grabbed Mirai right in front of and slapped her hard. It was the first violence I saw. The blood that dripped from my lady-in-waiting lips was a silent warning so that I could learn about the consequences of my action.

At that ti, I just stood in my place because I didn’t know that the visual of the world was... so terrifying.

"Father? Why did you do that to Mirai?"

At that mont, everyone knew that I was no longer blind. From the beginning, no one said that the woman before was Mirai, and I said her na clearly. Mother gasped and looked at in disbelief.

And suddenly, the room beca noisy with whispering voices. Mother approached and asked to leave the place with her. I touched the wall so I could rember the familiar feelings. Mother took into another room to ask the full story.

She interrogated . I told her everything honestly. I didn’t lie when I said that I didn’t know the na of the man who helped heal my eyes. No matter how much my mother asked and forced to tell the truth, I couldn’t tell her because I didn’t know the man’s na from the start.

Not long after, father also appeared. He grabbed both of my shoulders much harder than what mother did. He also asked the sa thing, and I calmly explained everything from the start without hiding anything, including the fact that I also didn’t know the na of the man who helped out despite having t him a few tis.

Both of them still couldn’t believe that their daughter finally could see. They also called a healer to examine my eyes. They kept pushing to tell the truth, even forcing to show the place I t the man.

I didn’t know where the mysterious man had taken . All I knew was that I was in the middle of a forest with the moon looking very close. Only that. The man took from Mirai’s house and sent back to the front of the castle.

I bit the inside of my cheek to stop myself from feeling frustrated because my father was so adamant about accusing of hiding the man’s whereabouts. Was this what it was like to see? Everything felt so sensitive that it made uncomfortable. Was it possible to see sothing that I couldn’t accept in the future?

Father also sent almost most of his troops to go through the forest looking for the man who had healed my eyes. Mother said it was almost impossible to heal my sight. Yeah, I also knew about that, so I just listened and listened to her words like I usually did when I couldn’t see.

Mother gave various reasons to keep patient and forgive my father. I just nodded, but the image of my father hitting Mirai until she bled couldn’t leave my head.
