Aie took one step forward, making Lazarus let out a sigh of relief. He stepped aside to give Aie a way in, and Aie closed the door to Lazarus’ room so no one could see her talking in the man’s room.
"So, what do you want to talk about?"
"I want you to forget what I said earlier. Just pretend you didn’t hear anything," Aie said.
Lazarus shook his head. "I don’t want to."
"You want to get another hit?" Aie threatened him, while showing her fist in front of Lazarus’ face.
Lazarus shook his head again.
"I don’t want that either," he replied simply.
Aie took a deep breath and exhaled it slowly to remain composed and not be provoked by her emotions.
"Lazarus, I didn’t an it."
"You an it. Otherwise, you won’t kiss ," Lazarus replied, making Aie twitch because the man ntioned their kiss earlier.
"Okay, okay, okay, I get it. We kissed earlier, but can you just pretend it didn’t happen too? I an, you’ve kissed a lot of won, haven’t you? Pretend my kiss was just a breeze of wind in the sumr and find another woman out there to erase the trace of my kisses."
"I don’t want to. I’ll keep the kiss you gave ."
"Lazarus, co on... We’re both adults, aren’t we? That kiss shouldn’t be a big deal. We can share a kiss with whoever we like, right?"
"I like you," Lazarus replied, making Aie’s string of words stop for a mont.
The girl closed her mouth tightly while looking at Lazarus. She tried to find a lie in the man’s eyes. Aie also hoped that Lazarus would laugh, so she could assu that the man was joking. However, what he wanted didn’t co. Lazarus seed to an what he just said.
"As a sister, of course, right?" Aie asked to make sure that there would be no misunderstanding between them later.
"As a woman," Lazarus replied, making Aie’s heart beat faster.
It couldn’t be this fast. Lazarus couldn’t possibly like her in one day. This was not what Aie had imagined. Aie still liked Lazarus, but she planned to bury her feelings with a lot of hatred.
Lazarus took one step closer to Aie, but the girl chose to back away.
"If I were not as thin as I was now, you wouldn’t like , would you? You only... look at because of my physique," Aie said bitterly.
"I’ve always liked you. Even when you were fat ten years ago, I liked you."
"But, you rejected my feelings!"
"Are you crazy!? I could be beheaded if I date an eight-year-old child!" protest Lazarus, which made Aie pause for a mont. "I know I was wrong to reject you in public by humiliating you, but I didn’t an it that way. I just like teasing you. I used to like you as a sister. Nothing more," Lazarus continued.
Lazarus drew closer and Aie couldn’t back away any further. Her back had touched the door and Lazarus’ toes had touched her toes. Aie looked down, as did Lazarus. The distance between them was so close that both of them could feel each other’s bodies as they breathed.
"But, after we t again at the sandwich stall, I liked you as a new person." Lazarus took Aie’s hand to rest on his chest. "My heart is beating really fast, Aie. And I am jealous of your closeness with your old friend, Dylan. I’d like to be in Dylan’s shoes, to be able to share my story with you too."
"You’re going back to the sea, right? So this will only be in vain," Aie said pessimistically.
"I might change my mind if you give a chance."
Lazarus slowly put his hand on Aie’s waist and bent down his body to whisper. Their bodies were already pressed together because the man had purposely erased the distance between them.
"I thought about settling down, but so far I haven’t found the right reason. Can you help be the reason that I can stay in the North?"
"Lazarus...."
Aie didn’t like this. Her heart was beating so fast at their closeness. Aie was not a naive girl who was easily swayed by a man’s sweet words. However, Lazarus sounded so serious about what he just said.
Maybe she should try to give Lazarus a chance?
"Lazarus, I am walking on a thin rope. If you ss up just once, maybe I’ll never forgive you this ti."
"Aie..."
Aie put her index finger in front of Lazarus’ lips. "And I am seriously telling you that this is your last chance. I will not look at you again, even when you are buried underground, I will never see you if you make a fatal mistake again," Aie threatened him and Lazarus nodded. "I’m serious, Lazarus."
"And so am I, Aie," Lazarus replied, then erased their distance completely.
The two of them kissed roughly. Licking, sucking, biting each other’s lips and trying to dominate each other. Aie’s hands moved to unbutton Lazarus’ shirt, as well as Lazarus, who was very skilful at taking off Aie’s corset strap which was behind the girl’s back.
Wasn’t it going too fast? Aie shook her head and be damned with it.
"Aie, you know what we are going to do with this, right?" Lazarus asked in between their kisses.
Aie touched the door of Lazarus’ room and locked it, so no one would disturb them tonight. After hearing the door locked, she pushed Lazarus down on the bed, and Aie was on top of him.
"You think I’m a naïve child?" Aie asked as she took off her dress, making Lazarus swallow his saliva with difficulty.
His eyebrows arched to see Aie’s body in front of him.
"Don’t bla if you can’t walk tomorrow morning."
"Shut up!" Aie exclaid and kissed Lazarus’ lips again. This ti her hands moved quickly to untie the man’s belt and unzip Lazarus’ pants.
Aie rembered sothing. She pulled her face away from Lazarus, who was panting hard. Lazarus opened his eyes, wondering why Aie stopped kissing him.
"What is it?"
"I’m going to turn off the lights for a bit."
Lazarus shook his head. He grabbed Aie’s hand and pulled it tightly so that the girl ca back closer.
"Leave it like this. I want to see you completely," Lazarus replied while stroking Aie’s body gently.
That night, Lazarus’ room beca louder than usual. No one could hear it from outside. Only the walls of the room witnessed the moans, groans, and screams of pleasure from Aie and Lazarus until the day changed and morning ca.
