Ronan glared at Lazarus, making the man scratch his head uncomfortably.

"Sorry, I was just trying to guess. Maybe I should go to the library, like Lucas said. Well, see you later!" Lazarus said, then went out of the room.

Lazarus was really unpredictable. He was like a storm that ca and went so fast.

"Does Lazarus know where I am hiding?" Arielle asked worriedly.

Ronan looked down to see Arielle, who sat between his legs. He held the back of Arielle’s head so as not to hit the desk when the girl ca out of her hiding.

"No need to worry. Lazarus isn’t that smart."

Arielle got up from where she hid, then fixed so parts of her wrinkled dress. In a split second, Ronan fantasized about the girl, but Arielle had warned him this morning.

"Arielle, when will you keep your promise?"

"Promise? Ah, the one this morning..."

"I can’t wait to see it."

"Later ... after we get married," Arielle replied quietly, making Ronan groan.

"Two weeks is too long!" he protested.

"No, if you are patient."

"Okay, but I warn you, Arielle. After we get married, don’t expect to give you ti to rest."

Ronan grabbed Arielle’s body to get closer to him. "I’ll do it wherever I want it. In your room, in the library, or even in this room. Could you handle it? Are you okay with that?"

Arielle nodded, causing Ronan to close his eyes to stop himself from attacking the girl. "I have warned you, Arielle. Don’t cry on later."

Arielle was reading her book in the library while waiting for two important guests. Since yesterday, many people had delivered ssages about Lazarus, who kept looking for her. Until the day changed, Lazarus continued to look for her. However, Arielle always had ways to avoid him.

She didn’t an to refuse Lazarus’ request. It was just that if she t Lazarus, and the man gave her a dejected expression, Arielle would tell him about Aie’s arrival. It would make Aie have a bad impression of her. Arielle didn’t want Aie to think that she couldn’t keep her promise.

So, Arielle avoided Lazarus. She tried to prevent herself from hurting Lazarus’ or Aie’s feelings.

anwhile, Ronan had gone with Lazarus for work outside the palace. He was supposed to go with William. However, seeing Lazarus constantly circling around the palace looking for Arielle and disturbing the other palace workers, Ronan decided to take the man out of the palace with him.

And now Arielle enjoyed her little peacefulness without Lazarus.

Elsewhere, Lazarus walked lazily behind Ronan. They had received a report regarding several royal prisoners who died mysteriously. The warden said that the extre cold of the last few days was the reason.

They lacked priests who could warm all the prisoners. So, one by one, the prisoners died because of the cold. Ronan examined the two nearby deaths and found no anomalies there.

"None of their mana flow opened, even though they had gone through these extre conditions?" Ronan asked while reading the report that caused the death of the prisoners there.

"Yes, none of their mana flow opened, Your Majesty."

Maybe from the start their body condition had already weakened. So, when they went through the extre conditions, their bodies couldn’t catch up with their mana pump. It seed they breathed their last before their mana flow opened.

Ronan returned the list of the nas of the prisoners who had died to the warden. "Send one prisoner to be examined by the palace priest."

The warden raised his hand in respect.

"Very well, Your Majesty. I’ll do it right away," he said firmly.

Then, Ronan and Lazarus left that place. The two rode their horses to the town and stopped by an art supplies shop. As usual, Ronan always went overboard when it ca to Arielle’s needs.

"Ronan, can you give a little money to buy so food? I’m hungry," Lazarus said. His voice sounded weak.

Ronan only glanced briefly, then gave him so coins, making Lazarus groan in annoyance.

"Are you kidding? You bought up the whole canvas here, but only gave a few coins? Do you think I only eat wind!?" he asked in a protesting tone.

"That’s enough for a sandwich. I know the prices here," Ronan said, tying back his pouch of money.

Lazarus stomped his foot in annoyance. It seed Ronan wouldn’t give him more money. And unfortunately, Lazarus didn’t bring any extra money because he thought Ronan would give him so as a friend.

With unsteady steps, he queued behind a woman to buy a sandwich at a stall by the side of the road. Ronan left Lazarus to go to a nearby bookstore to buy Arielle so books.

He thought Arielle needed a new book. Before the girl got sick or burned out by textbooks, it was a good idea to buy her so fiction novels.

Lazarus put his hands in his pockets. He winked as two won walked past him while giggling. Lazarus was narcissistic. He knew he was handso and could attract won’s attention even with only one glance. And sotis, that nature could bring havoc.

"Miss, you don’t have enough money," said the sandwich seller as he returned the money he had received.

"Ah, then allow to take my money for a mont."

"Yes, Miss. But please leave the sandwich before you go. You can bring it back when you have brought enough money."

"But this sandwich will be cold..."

The man smiled, grabbing the sandwich roughly from the girl’s hand.

Lazarus, who saw it, imdiately held the man’s hand.

"No, no, no, you can’t be rude to a pretty lady," Lazarus said as he snatched the sandwich back from the seller’s hand. He took out the coin he had received from Ronan and placed it roughly on the seller’s palm.

"I’ll pay for the rest."

"Thank you, Sir-" the girl stopped her sentence when she saw the man who helped her. Her eyes twitched at the perverted smile of the man in front of her.

"Dear madam, may I please know your na?" Lazarus asked in a very soft voice.

"Tch." Lazarus raised his eyebrows. He scratched his ear briefly to make sure he heard it wrong. There was no way a graceful lady would click her tongue in front of him like that. Maybe he just hallucinated, he thought.

The woman gave back the sandwich that Lazarus had paid for. "Thank you, Sir. Please accept this sandwich back. This is yours because you bought it with your own money. I’ll take my money and buy a new one."

"Oh-oh-oh, no need, sweet Madam. I’d be happy to help you," Lazarus said, giving back the sandwich to the girl in front of him.

"No, Sir. I don’t want this sandwich. Please accept it," said the girl as she pushed the sandwich back towards Lazarus.

Lazarus held the girl’s soft hand. "Oh, so soft and delicate. These are the two softest hands I have ever touched."

"WHAT A PERVERT!" the girl shouted while pushing Lazarus hard. The shocked Lazarus couldn’t hold his balance and fell backwards until his butt hit the ground.

"Fuck you, pervert! Disgusting shit!" the girl berated while throwing the sandwich on the ground. She rubbed her hands, which Lazarus touched disgustingly.

"Madam!" Lazarus called in despair, seeing the beautiful girl running away from him. "Madaamm!!!"
