For the whole day, Cedric continued his search, turning the realms upside down. But none of his soldiers were able to track Ayra or Arcabous, the big dragon. At so point, Cedric began to fear as Arcabous was already disliking Ayra for being responsible for Debisa’s death. With his best n, he flew over the lands, searching for her everywhere.
anwhile, Ayra was asleep on Arcabous’s back. She had no idea about their journey. Probably the last thing that she rembered was a black barrier. After crossing the barrier, she fell unconscious. By that ti, she woke up, the world was full dark again. Ayra fluttered open her long eyelashes, the sll of burning sothing hit her nostrils. Lifting her head groggily, she looked around to find herself in an open ground.
Too surprised, the sky was all dark above her head. It was covered with dark clouds. The whole environnt was emitting a dark aura. A sudden voice startled her, snapping her out of her daze,
" You are awake, child?"
Ayra gasped before turning her head, spotting a man in black long coat. Next to her, a little squeal could be heard. She turned her head on the side, spotting Arcabous who was sitting there lazily. She felt clueless by the place and situation. Calming herself down a little, she asked the man firmly,
" Who are you? Why did you bring here?"
Ralph let out a little smile. The girl would have been embarrassed if she knew that she was eting her father-in-law for the first ti. But he also wondered why the dragon showed up here. Most importantly, he managed to break into the barrier of the demon realm easily.
Ralph ca closer to her, holding a glass of herbal tea,
" Your questions will be answered but I haven’t brought you here, child. The bla should be given to this little demon."
Ralph pointed at Arcabous with his chin. Ayra was dumbfounded by his answer. She blinked then shot a strange glare to Arcabous. The dragon only yawned lazily before changing its sitting position. Ayra asked sternly, keeping a safe distance,
" Then.. may I know who you are? Did you know Arcabous before today?"
Ralph let out a deep sigh. Jasmine used to talk about her little dragons. He assud that this one was one of them. Passing her the tray again, he replied, lifting his lonely gaze to stare at the dragon,
" No.. and yes...The dragon is from Basarisk, isn’t it?I am sure that there’s a reason since he brought you here."
Ayra held the cup tight without taking a sip. She couldn’t trust soone randomly. After a short while, she asked in bewildernt, noticing the strange environnt surrounding her,
" Where am I? Is this a place in the Basarisk?"
Ralph gave her a gentle smile. Moving on the other side, he lit up the lanterns to reply casually,
" You are in the demon realm. I am king Ralph, child. This is your first ti, visiting your father-in-law’s house. Look at ! I have even scared you."
Ayra this ti let out a gasp of shock, her hands almost slipping the tray off. She stared at Ralph with wide eyes. Without being dead, she actually ca to the demon realm? The thought horrified her badly. But the next mont, she sat up gradually, conveying her apology politely,
" I..I am sorry..I was rude to you.."
Ralph let out a chuckle, gesturing at her warmly,
" Take a sip, child. You will feel better."
Only then Ayra drank the tea to clear her head. She was stunned to et the magnificent demon king. The way Jasmine portrayed him in her journal, she wasn’t bluffing. Ralph was born with that kingly, mysterious aura. Ayra rembered that she once wished to et Ralph to tell him everything about Jasmine and her feelings. But today why Arcabous brought her here unexpectedly, she was still suspicious.
After she drank the tea, her body felt much better. Putting the cup aside, she went on asking Ralph, her eyes curiously watching the strange sky,
" I don’t understand..why didn’t you et us before, father? I never got the chance to seek your blessings."
On her remark, a sad smile creeped on his lips. He went there a few tis but under Cedric’s unwelcoming attitude, he couldn’t stay back to greet his daughter-in-law. Ralph replied with a smile, appreciating her interest,
" Because your husband doesn’t want there. It’s great that Arcabous brought you here today. I always wanted to et you."
Ayra smiled back a little. As much as people call the demon king scary, she could tell that Ralph had a kind heart. The warmth in his voice was giving her a fatherly vibe. After a little hesitation, Ayra suddenly blurted, keeping his eyes on the man,
" Don’t.. don’t you feel angry since I am destined to kill your other son?"
Ralph’s hand paused between his tasks. He replied with a smile, looking over at Ayra,
" Everyone in this world is destined to do sothing. Why should I hate you since you have no hands over it?"
Ayra felt a little better after his words. She rembered how Cedric ntioned his mother’s missing soul. After a certain realization, she asked again eagerly, hoping to see Cedric’s happiness,
" Since I am here already father. I want sothing from you. Can you give it to ?"
Ralph was more than happy to give her anything. Since Cedric never let him interfere in his life, he wanted to dote on his daughter-in-law. Nodding his head, he allowed Ayra with a kind smile,
" Go on! I am more than happy to grant your wish."
Ayra’s heart was filled with happiness. Getting on her feet, she walked lazily to Ralph while asking,
" I want to see the soul of my mother-in-law, Jasmine. You know where it is, don’t you? Cedric has been searching for it for so long."
The following mont, the sound of glass shattering echoed in the quiet place..
