Hayden was recollecting his mories of that ti. Sitting in a corner, he was wrapping his injured hand. He was infuriated to think that Arcabous dared to show him his past, those mories that he hated the most.
Groaning, he fell to the other side and started to growl in anger. In his state of rage, he couldn’t even see where Ayra flew with Arcabous. Didn’t the dragon hate her? Why did it co to save her all of a sudden?
Another painful growl ca through his lips as soon as he lay on the ground. Out of nowhere, a dark silhouette popped out in front of him at the speed of light. Before he could lift his eyes to see the person, Hayden was thrown against the big tree.
He hit his back hard, letting out a groan. In a matter of seconds, Cedric was holding his collar. Their eyes connected with a murderous gleam. Cedric roared like a beast, his demon itching to kill Hayden,
" WHERE’S MY WIFE?"
Hayden returned to his senses on his question. As soon as he saw Cedric’s face, his anger only increased. Deliberately, Hayden let out a chuckle, pushing Cedric’s anger more,
" I would love to see you desperate. What wife? She was always mine."
The next attack ca unexpectedly hard. Using his elbow, Cedric hit under Hayden’s throat, causing his blood to spurt out of his mouth. Cedric roared again, stressing his words out one by one,
" No matter what the fuck is, she is my legally wedded wife. You are in no place to call her yours. I am telling you nicely for the last ti, Hayden! Where is Ayra?"
Hayden let out a bitter laugh this ti, his eyes landing on Cedric furiously. He replied with a huff, his lips twitching in disgust,
" Wife? Relationship? Did you rember these words when you were involved with Roxanne, Cedric?"
Sothing flickered in Cedric’s eyes. His hands loosened the grip that had around Hayden’s color. A mont of guilt surfaced his eyes but soon it was gone again. Hayden continued to spit in anger, hatred flashing in his eyes,
" You had everything.. family.. father.. mother... Sisters.. now... soone who loves you... What did I get in my life except calling a bastard, and being an abandoned child by his mother? TELL !!!"
Cedric stayed tongue-tied. After a flash of a mont, he replied sadly,
" I never had a mother or father. You know it as well."
Hayden let out a bitter laugh. It was hard to justify his eyes because of the darkness around him. He continued accusing Cedric, taking his steps forward one after another,
" You had everything.. that belongs to rightfully..how are we different? The last thing that I wanted was her...You stole her from ."
Cedric squeezed his eyes for a mont. When he opened them again, the flash of remorse was gone. He replied coldly, staring at Hayden’s face,
" You went too far to get your evil intentions done. There needed to be soone to stop you, Hayden. Our mother never wanted to leave you. Don’t bla her."
Hayden’s mocking laughter erupted in the dark forest. He twitched his lips before saying,
" Our mother? When was she, my mother? She killed herself to protect you. Can you deny that? She didn’t even look at my face. You know what, Cedric? It’s , the victim always but you take the credit... ALWAYS!!!"
Hayden was still in his rage, his breathing sounding harsh. He added bringing his face closer to Cedric,
" Now... I will take what’s mine.. including your position, your love..your wife...No one can stop ..."
Cedric’s face grimaced in anger. Despite their enmity, he couldn’t refuse the fact that most of Hayden’s words were true. It wasn’t his fault that he was born with a cruel heart, lacking in emotions. As Hayden attempted to disappear, Cedric suddenly blurted in an emotional voice,
" None of this happened if you started treating as your brother, not like your rival."
For the very first ti, Hayden, the devil without heart stopped to listen to him, his gaze softening a little more than before. Then he rembered the night when he argued with Roxanne. His demon was fully alive after drinking so much human blood. On his way to Roxanne’s mansion, he again heard the gossip between Cedric and her. He was mad and full of rage. During their heated argunt, Roxanne shouted, telling the whole world aloud,
" YES YES!! THIS IS CEDRIC’s CHILD IN MY WOMB!!"
Her one single statent tore away all the good beings in his mind. His heart beca stony and he murdered his wife brutally. Later, he heard that Roxanne’s soul didn’t enter into heaven or the demon realm. He always wondered where she went. His marriage with Roxanne was never happy. It was his father’s idea to marry a human who could help him, regain his heart. But it was a total failure when Roxanne began to despise him for drinking human blood or killing innocent people to earn more powers. Mostly, he never cared about her statent or thoughts. Later his father assigned Cedric to look after her.
Hayden whipped his head back to bark at Cedric, his eyes back to a devilish mood again,
" I would rather die than accept you as my brother who stole everything from , Cedric. If you are so darn capable, and powerful, find your wife by yourself."
Hayden vanished in the air in a few seconds. Cedric narrowed his eyes deeply. One thing that he understood was Ayra didn’t go with Hayden nor did Hayden hold her captive. Then was it Arcabous who took her away? Where could she go except these places?
Cedric felt clueless about the entire situation. However, he couldn’t do anything since Arcabous was never bonded with him closely. With Debisa, the dragon could always connect with him ntally except for the ti when it was under Hayden’s captive.
