Song Zhike smiled gently, but didn’t decline.
The two walked silently from the garden of the Su Family to the entrance, where the security guard was still at his post. Song Zhike and Su Manning had nothing in common to discuss, so they chatted about trivial things like "Today’s stars are so bright."
Just as they stepped out, they saw a car slowly driving towards them.
Given Song Zhike’s acquaintance with Shi Aoju, it wasn’t surprising that he recognized the car imdiately. However, when he saw a woman sitting inside, he couldn’t help but find it a bit odd.
The light was quite strong, and it wasn’t until the car got closer that Su Manning could see the people inside clearly.
"Sister?" She was taken aback when she saw Su Jiuyi sitting in the passenger seat.
With the lights so dim, she couldn’t see the man’s features clearly, only that his face seed handso and aristocratic, his physique tall and slender.
Could it be, he was the man her friend had talked about?
Su Jiuyi turned her head and thanked Shi Aoju, then unbuckled her seat belt and got out of the car. Unexpectedly, Shi Aoju also opened the car door.
"Young Master Jue is in quite a good mood today," Song Zhike said with a smile, walking up and leaning against his car, arms crossed, watching him with interest.
"Your mood isn’t bad either," Shi Aoju glanced at him coolly, "eting your lovely wife in the middle of the night."
Watching the two n jest with each other, Su Jiuyi suddenly felt quite embarrassed.
"Sister?"
It was Su Manning who spoke up, breaking the mont. She looked at Su Jiuyi, seemingly wanting to ask sothing.
Su Jiuyi responded with a simple "Yes," without saying more.
Shi Aoju glanced sideways at Su Jiuyi; he’d heard before that the Su Family had two daughters, but it was usually the younger daughter who attended the banquets. Although Mr. Qin Shaobai had ntioned the elder daughter of the Su Family was very pretty, Shi Aoju had no interest and didn’t pay attention.
To his surprise, this little woman was the eldest daughter of the Su Family, Su Jiuyi.
"I’ll have soone pick you up tomorrow morning," Shi Aoju said, his voice steady but commanding.
Su Jiuyi nodded in acknowledgnt.
Beside them, Song Zhike elbowed Shi Aoju’s arm and said softly, "Make sure to explain well," then waved to Su Manning.
Su Manning politely waved back, "Good night."
Song Zhike had planned to drive his own car ho, but Shi Aoju dragged him into his car. Seeing Shi Aoju’s serious expression, Song Zhike guessed sothing was amiss, so he called soone to drive his car instead.
"What’s wrong, is your company going under?" Song Zhike smiled innocently.
"The previous batch of goods hasn’t been found," Shi Aoju replied calmly, watching the road ahead as the car got on the overpass, its speed gradually increasing.
"Not found? Can’t identify who intercepted the goods?" Song Zhike put away his playful expression.
He had heard Mr. Qin Shaobai ntion the interception issue before, but Mr. Qin’s nonchalant deanor didn’t make him realize the severity of the matter.
Besides, he’d been busy dealing with the engagent party set up by the old man, leaving no ti to gather with them recently.
Shi Aoju nodded and shared everything that happened today.
"Found anything out?"
"Not yet, and given the current situation, I can’t confirm whether the two matters are linked."
Song Zhike pondered, "Tomorrow I’ll help you with checking the surveillance."
