Shi i stood by the window, looking down at the woman below her from a high vantage point. Despite the heavy rain, she lowered her head and searched everywhere for the thing she was looking for, her disheveled hair sticking to her face, making her look particularly wretched.
Stubborn, persistent, strong.
She is also a woman who never admits defeat.
He furrowed his brows, emotionally moved by her for the first ti.
After searching for a full ten minutes, Shi Keke finally found the crumpled piece of paper thrown down in the flower bed.
She bent down to pick it up, disregarding everything else, quickly ran into the entrance of the building on the ground floor, wiped the water off her face, and hurriedly unfolded the docunt that had already been soaked and sowhat distorted.
This docunt was crucial, and there were no spare copies; if the ink sared or the text blurred due to the water, she would undoubtedly lose the court case tomorrow.
What a tily rain indeed!
In the dim light of the corridor, she saw a pig head design on the docunt, with an arrow pointing to it, and three sloppy characters next to the arrow.
The black ink had been partially washed away by the rain, but the characters were still legible.
It was Shi Keke.
Realizing she had been fooled, Shi Keke’s lips curled into a faint smile, then she crumpled the ’docunt’ into a ball and threw it into the nearby trash bin.
When she pushed open the hospital room door, Shi i was still gaming, and it seed like he might have a spare mouse because, at that mont, there was a new mouse in front of the computer.
And that slender hand was gripping the mouse, clicking repeatedly.
Shi Keke gave him a glance as she entered, closing the door behind her.
"Did you get it back?"
A deep voice spoke, but the speaker was imrsed in his ga, not even turning his head.
Shi Keke humd in response, not uttering any unnecessary words.
She took a clean towel from the bathroom, wiping the water from her hair while recalling what had just happened.
At that mont, he had snatched her docunt, without exchanging hands or hesitating, and directly threw it out of the window.
But why, a perfectly good docunt turned into a aningless piece of paper?
And from that mont till now, he hadn’t stepped out of the room, even if he had gone out after her, it was absolutely impossible for him to have swapped the docunt before her.
"Switched it."
While Shi Keke was deep in thought by the window, Shi i’s voice echoed in her ears.
Turning her head at the sound, she looked at him.
Seeing him holding a set of won’s clothes, she couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow, "How co you have this odd habit of carrying won’s clothes around?"
Shi i’s eyes slightly narrowed, not saying a word.
Shi Keke glanced over the clothes and said, "I won’t wear another woman’s clothes."
Her indifferent expression seed to convey that she would rather her clothes stay wet than wear what he offered.
"Wear it if I tell you to."
With a long arm, Shi i directly grabbed Shi Keke’s wrist, not giving her any chance to resist, and forcibly dragged her into the bathroom—
As the bathroom door slamd shut, Wen Wan on the hospital bed slowly opened her eyes.
She had woken up when Shi Keke ca in.
Not wanting to interfere in the youngsters’ matters, and to give them so privacy, she had been pretending to sleep with her eyes closed.
Watching the two varying heights of shadows appear on the bathroom door, she couldn’t help but smile.
