Just then, a commotion suddenly erupted at the party.

Mo Qingxin, surrounded by a crowd, walked in with great fanfare, no less impressive than when Shi Yu and Shen Cheng had arrived earlier.

The host of the party imdiately stepped forward to greet her, showering her with endless flattery and pleasantries.

Although Mo Qingxin had only arrived in Jiang City recently, she was often in the public eye, hence almost anyone from the high society knew her.

There were so who only knew of her wealth, yet were unaware of her powerful background, and so they viewed her ostentation with a certain degree of disdain.

But that was only a small fraction of the people.

Upon seeing her appearance, the majority of the guests imdiately went up to offer a toast.

In the face of the constant stream of people coming up to toast, Mo Qingxin accepted each one without a hint of impatience or inconvenience, always smiling and maintaining a graceful deanor.

Shen Cheng leaned against one side, watching Mo Qingxin being surrounded, playing with an empty wine glass in her hand, completely indifferent.

From a distance, Mo Qingxin spotted Shen Cheng, politely declined the crowd’s kindness, and walked towards Shen Cheng with elegant steps.

"Miss Shen, this must be our fourth eting, right?"

Mo Qingxin approached Shen Cheng and offered a glass of champagne, "Would you honor with your company for a drink?"

Shen Cheng did not take the offered drink but continued to fiddle with her wine glass instead.

After a mont, she finally glanced at Mo Qingxin and her lips lightly pursed: "Alcohol or whatever, I’m not interested."

Mo Qingxin smiled knowingly, not the least bit troubled by her refusal, and withdrew her hand; she smoothly placed the champagne glass on a waiter’s tray nearby.

As the waiter walked away, she picked up another glass, gently swirled the contents, then lifted it to her lips for a delicate sip.

"Miss Shen is not disinterested in alcohol, but rather disinterested in drinking with , I suppose."

Shen Cheng smiled and remained silent.

In fact, from the first ti she t Mo Qingxin, her intuition told her that Mo Qingxin was no simple character.

Friend or foe, it wasn’t yet clear.

But she could tell that Mo Qingxin was deliberately concealing sothing.

Mo Qingxin took another sip of her drink, lazily leaning against a crystal column in the party hall, her eyes smiling as she watched Shen Cheng, "I heard Miss Shen has a brother?"

That seemingly casual question put Shen Cheng on alert.

However, on the surface, she remained as calm as the serene clouds, softly acknowledging with a ’hm’.

Mo Qingxin raised her glass, gracefully swirling it before her eyes, watching Shen Cheng’s face through the amber liquid, her smile deepening, "That’s nice; I wish I had a brother too."

Upon hearing this, Shen Cheng’s lips curled, "Hmm, then go ho and ask your mother to have you one."

Mo Qingxin smiled lightly without a word, lifting the glass to her lips and downing the drink in one go.

After setting down her glass, she gave a chuckling smile: "I have so other matters to attend to, if you’ll excuse ."

With those words, she turned and walked away.

Watching her receding figure, the smile finally faded from Shen Cheng’s lips.

Just who exactly was that woman.

"Beauty!"

While she was lost in thought, she heard a saccharine voice call out.

Refocusing her attention towards the voice, it belonged to Ye Zi.

She ca with Qin Jin.

Qin Jin walked behind her, one hand in his pocket, the other holding a cigarette, intermittently taking a drag and leisurely exhaling the smoke rings.

The coolness of his actions and poses also srized many young ladies in the room, eliciting round after round of gasps.
