"Don’t scare her."
The voice was calm, indescribably deep and dull, like the person himself, always giving off a repressive feeling.
Shi Tianjue leaned back against the tree again, shrugging indifferently, "Just having so fun."
Shi Aoju squinted at him, saying word by word, "She is your elder sister-in-law."
Su Jiuyi’s body stiffened, even the hand held by him was frozen. She looked up at him, trying to read sothing from his eyes, but with his cold deanor, it was impossible to gauge whether he was in a good or bad mood at the mont.
She bit her lip, feeling so nervous her palms sweated, hearing him introduce her to his brother in such a way, claiming not to be happy would be a lie. Their relationship had been confird only a few hours ago, and she had assud he would want to keep it private for a while until their feelings were more stable, but he was so forthright.
"I say," Shi Tianjue glanced up and down at Su Jiuyi, then looked at Shi Aoju, "How did you find an underage girl to be your girlfriend?"
Upon hearing this, Su Jiuyi imdiately retorted, "I’m an adult!"
Seeing her nervous expression, Shi Aoju’s originally indifferent face softened, he reached out to tousle her hair, saying, "He’s just like this, no need to bother with him."
"Oh, even the ice has lted?" Shi Tianjue chuckled wickedly.
Shi Aoju raised a brow, "Why, is it not allowed?"
The two brothers exchanged a few more words. Maybe finding Shi Tianjue too unruly, Shi Aoju couldn’t be bothered to waste ti with him and directly pulled Su Jiuyi away. Shi Tianjue wasn’t upset; like a rascal, he waved the two off and then took out his phone to call Song Zhike to say he wanted to play gas at his place tonight.
Song Zhike easily agreed and also invited Qin Shaobai along. Qin Shaobai had originally planned to take Qi Jingren to the movies in the evening but had to accompany them instead.
Su Jiuyi received a call from Qi Jingren at seven o’clock.
"Hey girl, are you interested in watching a movie with ?" Qi Jingren’s voice was a bit lazy, he must have just woken up.
"Sure, I’m free today."
Having agreed on a eting place with Qi Jingren, Su Jiuyi returned to her room to change clothes. To make herself look more spirited, she specially put on light makeup, checked herself in the mirror, felt satisfied, and took her bag, leaving the room.
Unexpectedly, she ran into Shi Aoju while going downstairs.
In fact, to avoid him, Su Jiuyi specifically avoided taking the elevator and chose the stairs, only to encounter him after descending just one floor.
Shi Aoju was leaning against the stair railing, looking at her with a calm expression. Probably seeing her makeup, his eyes darkened a bit, "Going on a date?"
Su Jiuyi nodded, then felt responding like this wasn’t quite right, so she shook her head and said, "Going to the movies with Jingren."
Upon hearing her words, Shi Aoju responded with a light "Mhm." Su Jiuyi frowned at him, just about to say sothing when she heard him ask, "Want to give you a lift?"
"No need," she shook her head.
"Let’s go," Shi Aoju suddenly stood straight, put his hands into the pockets of his suit pants, and without even looking back, took large steps downstairs.
It seed the question he asked wasn’t seeking her opinion, but rely confirming her stance.
