Amber walked out of her quarters holding a bag of refuse to dispose away. As soon as she saw Channing leaning against his car in a relaxed manner watching her, she turned to go back inside and he spoke to her.
''I've seen you already''
Amber stopped and frowned. She turned and walked closer to him, throwing one of the bags at him, he caught it and followed her towards the disposal bins at a distance away. He looked at her short pyjamas shorts and her oversized sweated and frowned.
''Do you often dress this way to throw the waste out every day?''
''What is wrong with the way I dress?'' she asked and looked at herself.
''Amber, that pants is not covering your legs and you live with n'' he said feeling a little frustrated that she didn't care about her image at all.
''n? You an the military guys? Co on, I don't see them as n. They all treat like their little sister. Wait, what is wrong with you lecturing on what I choose to wear? Don't tell you ca here because of that?''
''I didn't co here because of that. Jade called to co and accompany you because she was going to have lunch with a guy''
''She took a rain check on her best friend just to have lunch with a guy? This girl is such a traitor'' Amber turned back to face him as she said that.
''Aren't you happy that I am here then? It's that why you tried to hide when you saw ?''
''No, I didn't an it that way''
''You've been avoiding for the past three days since you broke up with that bastard''
''That's because I am ashad of myself, okay? I bragged about how I was going to teach him a lesson and dump him after exposing him but I sowhat fell for him in the process. I don't want you to think I am fickle person. I know you will scold and tell you clearly warned ''
''I am not here to scold you. I don't also think that you are a fickle person''
''Huh?''
''But, I do think that you sll right now, so take care of your own waste and take a shower before you look for at grandpa's'' he said and threw the bag back at her and she caught it.
''Channing, did you just call a dirty woman?''
''Are you just realising it now?'' he said as he walked away.
''Damn you'' she stomped her feet to the ground as she watched him go away.

Jade and Alex arrived at a roadside food joint that a tent was erected for custors. Jade looked at the place after they pulled over and she got out of the driver's seat. They decided to use her car instead.
''This is the super delicious eatery that you wanted to bring ?'' Jade turned to look at him as she pointed at the place.
''Don't look down on this place. The food is very good. When I was in the University, this was the place I ate at most of the ti'' he said, walking towards the tent.
''Why? Is your family poor?'' she asked following him closely.
''Yes, didn't you know I ca from a poor family? My mother was a single mother and worked as a cleaner at the company. Your mother decided to sponsor my education from high school to this point. Even the house I leave in was bought by your mother''
''Whoa, how can you be so deadly honest with ? Don't such things make you embarrassed as a man?''
''What is embarrassing about it. I worked hard to earn all that from your mother. She is one person I am the most grateful to. I am not ashad of my background nor how far I have co'' he pulled a plastic chair out for her to sit as soon as they entered the tent. Jade sat down and smiled admiring how bold and courageous he was to be able to talk about such a sensitive subject with her.
''Do you always talk about sensitive topics like this with anyone?'' she asked and realised her mistake, ''I'm sorry. I didn't an that in any bad way''
''No, you are the first person I am talking about this with. I don't know why I don't feel the need to hide anything from you''
''Huh?''
''What would you like to eat?'' he asked changing the topic since it was beco awkward between them.
''What do you recomnd? You are the one who brought here''
''Okay'' he turned towards the owner of the food tent and spoke, ''aunt, two bowls of cold noodles, please''
''Coming'' the woman responded.

After getting ready, Amber went over to Grandpa Martins' quarters. Though the old man wasn't in the base anymore because of old age, the quarters was still maintained in his na because of Leo Martins.
''Where are we going?'' she asked after sitting down.
''To the movies. One of the movies we invested in ca out last week and today is the final day of public screening''
''You watch movies with your girlfriend, why are you asking instead? Did you dump Emily already?''
''I told you I wasn't dating her. she was forcing herself on '' Channing said helplessly. Emily was the daughter of his father's business partner. She has been coming at him all the ti that people thought they had sothing going on.
''Fine, since I am lonely, I will go with you''
''Have you eaten?''
''Not yet, let's get sothing to eat after the movies''

Ever stretched herself as she stood outside the house looking at the sea. Jayden walked out to her and stood next to her.
''It's so peaceful here, right?''
''Yes, the weather and the air is nice here''
"How about we co here for our camping?''
''Right, the camping. I almost forgot''
''I saw sothing on my way here, do you want to check it out together later on?''
''Don't you have anything doing besides following around? I am beginning to think you still have feelings for ''
''That's not wrong. I still have feelings for you''
''Cough, cough'' Ever's face reddened as she looked away saying, ''I should get back inside''
''Ever, you don't have to open up to right now, but I hope you can do that when you are comfortable around ''
''Jayden, it's too late to try to know what I think about you. I agreed to still be friends because I don't want our parents and everyone to feel awkward or tiptoe around us, but as for my reason for breaking up with you, you need to figure that out yourself. I have nothing to say to you about it until you figure out how your actions broke down and made loss confidence in myself. I can never trust you with my heart after experiencing what I went through'' Ever looked at him before going back inside. Jayden stood outside for a while still confused.
''Looks like I need to find out what happened in New York on the auctioning day'' he muttered to himself before going back.

''Whoa, this is so good'' Jade said as she drunk the soup from the bowl.
''I told you this place was good''

''Alex?'' a feminine voice sounded from behind Jade making them to look towards the direction of the voice.
''Viola'' Alex was surprised to see his girlfriend in front of him.
''Hi, Viola, I'm finally eting you for the first ti'' Jade said and stretched her hand towards the lady. ''I'm Jade Saint''
''Hi, Viola Browne''
''When did you co back?'' Alex asked as he pulled out a chair for his girlfriend.
''I ca back an hour ago. I was hungry and decided to co here but I saw your car outside and wanted to surprise you but I didn't know I would be the one getting surprised'' she said as she scanned Jade through and through. Jade frowned at her words sensing the subtle sarcasm but didn't say anything.
''Jade is the daughter of my Professor. Rember I told you she was helping out with my perfu developnt? We finally ca out with sothing today and I wanted to treat her to a al''
''I see'' she said and wrapped her arm around Alex's declaring her ownership over him. Jade found it funny and her lips curved into a subtle smile.
''What would you like to eat? I will order for you?'' Alex asked Viola.
''I'm a little tired, let's take it ho and eat together'' she said while leaning her head against his shoulder.
''I should get going. I still have things to do. Since your girlfriend is around, you shouldn't keep her waiting'' Jade said and stood up imdiately. She picked her bag and left the tent before Alex could even react. When he saw her leave, he tried to get up and Viola pushed him back on the chair.
''Let her go. I am a little tired, let's not have another fight, Alex''
